It should be noted that China was once a great nation that invented gunpowder (commonly known as black powder) and rockets, likely during the Song Dynasty (around 960–1279 AD). The land of Confucus (born c. BCE), born in the state of Lu  (Zhou dynasty), and the  “Great Wall” seen from outer space. ”

“great invention and feats by china in history
Ancient China’s contributions to global civilization are often summarized by the “Four Great Inventions,” but its historical feats span engineering, medicine, and mathematics. These innovations revolutionized warfare, navigation, and the spread of knowledge worldwide.” (Google)
The “Four Great Inventions”
These four pillars are celebrated as symbols of ancient China’s advanced science and technology [13].
  • Papermaking: Attributed to Cai Lun in 105 AD during the Han Dynasty, he improved the process by using materials like tree bark, hemp, and old rags [4, 11]. It replaced more expensive writing surfaces like silk and cumbersome bamboo strips [14].(Google)
  • Printing:
    • “Woodblock Printing: Developed during the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD); the Diamond Sutra (868 AD) is the world’s earliest dated printed book [11, 21].
    • Movable Type: Invented by Bi Sheng in the 11th century using baked clay characters, predating the European printing press by over 400 years [11, 14].
  • Gunpowder: Discovered by Taoist alchemists in the 9th century while searching for an elixir of immortality [14, 18]. It was first weaponized as “fire arrows” and later used in bombs, cannons, and fireworks [11, 19].
  • The Compass: Early versions known as sinan (“south-pointing ladle”) existed by the Warring States period (4th century BC) [5, 11]. It was adapted for maritime navigation during the Song Dynasty (960–1279 AD) [8, 14]”.
” Engineering and Technological Feats
Beyond the “Four Greats,” China achieved remarkable engineering milestones:
  • The Great Wall of China: A massive defense system stretching over 13,000 miles (21,000 km), built over nearly two millennia to protect northern borders [30].
  • Seismoscope: Invented by Zhang Heng in 132 AD, it was the first tool capable of detecting and indicating the direction of distant earthquakes [10, 15].
  • Mechanical Clock: The first water-powered mechanical clock was created by the monk Yi Xing in 725 AD, featuring an escapement mechanism that rang a bell every hour [18, 19].
  • Deep Drilling: As early as the 1st century BC, salt miners used cast iron drill bits to dig boreholes as deep as 4,800 feet (1,500 m) to extract brine [3, 4].
  • Bridge Engineering: The

(Zhaozhou Bridge), completed around 605 AD, is the world’s oldest open-spandrel segmental arch stone bridge still in use today [19, 20].” ( Google )

As one can see, China is not a new kid on the block; it went into hibernation and was awakened in the 1970s by then-President Nixon. At the time (1970’s), China’s primary means of transportation was bicycles, and people wore huge straw hats for shade and rain protection.
So, it is clear to see, it was the USA that had awoken, and guided China to the point where it is today

“The U.S. Congress voted in May/September 2000 to grant China Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR), effectively allowing it into the WTO and cementing a long-term economic partnership. It was a one-time legislative vote, not an annual ranking, that began in 2001, defining trade relations for the following decades” (Google).

  • The Vote: The U.S. House approved PNTR on May 24, 2000, and the Senate followed on September 19, 2000.
  • Significance: This vote meant the U.S. stopped annual reviews of China’s trade status, paving the way for China’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
  • Result: This set the framework for China to become a primary source of U.S. imports and a massive manufacturing hub for American companies.
  • Context: While this was a pivotal legislative moment rather than a “best country” vote, it formalized a bilateral trade agreement intended to deepen economic ties.

“The U.S. population in 2025 is estimated to be approximately 341.8 million to 350 million, reflecting a slow growth rate of about 0.5% due to lower net immigration. The above numbers, shows an andycap in the populations, Americas population to be one quarter (1/4) the size of China, and with a land area of almost the same. So it is clear to see that it is almost not possible to out perform China under  the current condition (momentum),It is clear to see why racial, ethnic, religious, and origin discrimination in the USA will play a great role in limiting the ability to outperform China; the USA is a land of immigrants, it was made great by immigrants, from the farm workers, to Werner Von Braun (NAZI) rocket scientist to  ” Black women mathematicians known as ” the human computers”, “were vital to NASA’s success during the Space Race, overcoming racial and gender segregation to calculate trajectories,1292025170020199581816550…
