The previous time New Orleans had the top seed in the NFC was 2009 when it reached and won the Super Bowl.“The news is all good for the Saints: They clinch home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs with a thrilling win over the Steelers White Leonard Floyd Jerseys , and (quarterback) Drew Brees has a chance to win his first-ever regular-season MVP award,” Newsday’s Bob Glauber said. The NFC West champion Los Angeles Rams jumped three places to No. 2 after dominating Arizona without star running back Todd Gurley. The Rams can clinch a first-round bye with a win against San Francisco in the regular-season finale.NFC North champion Chicago Bears inched up a spot to No. 3.“With a swarming defense and a solid ground game, the Bears appear poised to make some waves in January along the frosty shores of Lake Michigan,” said Ira Kaufman of Fox 13 in Tampa. The next three teams in the poll are all from the AFC.Kansas City and the Los Angeles Chargers, tied at 11-4 in the AFC West, slipped to No. 4 and No. 5 respectively. The Chiefs dropped a spot after their 38-31 loss at Seattle on Sunday night, and the Chargers fell from No. 2 after losing to Baltimore on Saturday night. The New England Patriots, who won the AFC East for the 10th consecutive year, moved up a spot to No. 6.Seattle climbed three spots to No. 7 after clinching a playoff berth with a win over the Chiefs. The Houston Texans slipped two spots to No. 8 after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 32-30 on Jake Elliott‘s field goal as time expired Sunday. The Ravens host Cleveland on Sunday and will take the division with a win.“Who wants to play them?,” asked Fox Sports’ John Czarnecki of the Ravens, who were 4-5 entering their bye week and have won five of six overall. The Steelers need to win at home against the last-place Bengals and have the Ravens stumble for their best chance at reaching the postseason. The Indianapolis Colts fell one spot despite rallying past the New York Giants to round out the top 10. The Colts and Tennessee Titans, who remained No. 14 in the poll Leonard Floyd Jerseys 2019 , are both 9-6 and end the regular season in a prime-time matchup on NBC. The winner will clinch a playoff spot and could take the division if the Texans stumble earlier in the day.Lions RB Kerryon Johnson’s night vs. Patriots was even better than you think Last year around this time exactly, I tried to temper expectations about the Detroit Lions’ running game. Ameer Abdullah had just polished off a 17-rush, 86 yard performance, and the Lions finished with 138 rushing yards and a solid 4.3 yards per carry. It was all fool’s gold, I argued. Take away just two rushes from that Monday night game against the Giants, and the Lions rushed for just 57 yards on 27 carries. For most of the night, the Lions’ rushing attack was awful. The Lions proved my hypothesis right, averaging just 3.4 yards per carry for the entire season.I will not be making that same argument today after Kerryon Johnson ended the Lions’ five-year drought without a 100-yard rusher. I won’t be making that argument because the Lions’ performance on Sunday night was for real. The box score isn’t lying. The Lions’ run game was phenomenal against the Patriots, and the deeper you dig into the statistics, the more impressive Johnson’s night becomes. Let’s break it down.So much production on so few carriesNot only did Johnson eclipse the 100-yard mark, but he did so on just 16 carries. I was curious how rare it was to break the century mark on so few touches, and it seems to happen fairly often. Since 2014, it’s happened 18 times White Eddie Jackson Jerseys , according to Pro Football Reference. But what sets apart Johnson’s performance is, unlike Abdullah’s game against the Giants last year, he didn’t rely on a single big carry. His longest run was of just 15 yards. In those 18 instances of 100-yard games on 16 or fewer carries, 16 running backs required a rush of at least 36 yards. Johnson wasn’t just efficient with a big run or two; all of his runs were efficient.Measuring Johnson’s efficiencySo how can we measure just how good Johnson’s performance was? Yards per carry doesn’t tell the entire story, because while 6.3 YPC is very impressive, players with long rushes skew those numbers heavily. So instead, let’s use Football Outsiders’ method of measuring efficiency. Here’s how they explain it:So using that metric, what was Johnson’s success rate? 62.5 percent or 10 out of 16 carries.More impressively, however, was that at one point in Sunday’s game, Kerryon Johnson was “successful” in 10 out of first 11 carries. Johnson “failed” on his five final rushes, as the Patriots loaded the box, knowing that Detroit was simply trying to run out the clock. First down machineSix of Kerryon’s 16 carries earned first downs on Sunday night. He converted on three first downs Eddie Jackson Jerseys 2019 , two second downs and one third down. Comparatively speaking, the Patriots earned 12 total first downs. PFFYeah, Kerryon’s day was outstanding by box score standards, but what happens when you analyze how he earned his yards? When taking into account his blocking, his ability to break tackles and his vision did his performance stand up? Yeah, he did alright: The only thing to keep in mind here to temper expectations is the Patriots’ defense. Through three games, New England ranks 30th in rushing yards allowed per game (143.3) and t-22nd in yards per carry (4.7). Still, Johnson took advantage of every opportunity he got on Sunday night, and that’s something we haven’t been able to say about a Lions running back in a long, long time.

Next week he will go to Kansas City and start his 13th AFC Championship Game.Brady’s Patriots dominated the Chargers today in New England http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-hunter-henry-jersey , winning 41-28 and earning a berth in the AFC Championship against the Chiefs. It will be the 13th AFC Championship Game for Brady as the Patriots’ starting quarterback, and for Bill Belichick as their head coach. It was an absolutely incredible performance by the Patriots, who whipped the Chargers in all phases of the game. Brady was masterful, the running attack controlled the clock when the Patriots wanted to, and the defense shut down Philip Rivers for most of the game after an early coverage breakdown led to a long touchdown pass.In fact, it was such an incredible performance that it was a fairly bad football game: It was so obvious by the second quarter that the Patriots would win a blowout that there wasn’t any drama in the second half. The Chargers scored a couple of garbage-time touchdowns to make the score look a little closer than the game really was.The story coming out of the game will be Brady Womens Joe Barksdale Jersey , who at age 41 did not have his best season by any stretch but is still playing at a high level. As of next week Brady will have started as many conference championship games as Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana combined. (Bradshaw started six AFC Championships, Montana six NFC and one AFC.) That’s an incredible achievement. The last play of the first half spoke volumes about Brady: The clock ran out with the Patriots in field goal range and out of timeouts, and Brady was furious that the Patriots had botched the clock. The score was 35-7 at the time, but Brady wasn’t happy. That Brady is upset about one mistake in a game his team leads 35-7 is why Brady’s teams so often have 35-7 leads. Now the Patriots will face the Chiefs in a rematch of one of the best games of the 2018 regular season. And Brady will try to reach his ninth Super Bowl. For the first time in 15 NFL seasons, Thomas Davis was working out for someone other than the Panthers. But even though he’s with the Chargers now, he’s working out with the same intensity for which he’s become known.Via Ricky Henne of the team’s official website Casey Hayward Jersey , the 36-year-old Davis was pacing his new teammates through sprints and other workouts yesterday, at the head of the pack when defensive front seven players, offensive linemen and tight ends were doing their conditioning.“I love to compete,” Davis said. “That’s one of the things that’s allowed me to be able to play for this long. I just love to go out and be able to compete, no matter what we’re doing. Whether it’s sprints. Whether it’s during walk-throughs. It’s the competitive side in me, and I think that’s what makes the game fun.”While he might not be the athlete he used to be http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-melvin-ingram-jersey , Davis still has plenty to offer the Chargers, in addition to the lessons he learned while overcoming three torn ACLs to become a Pro Bowl regular.“Man, that’s a big piece,” Chargers safety Derwin James said. “He’s a vocal leader. A great guy. I can see as I’ve been around him. He’s a good guy to help mentor me especially as a young guy coming in trying to lead. He’s been doing it a long time for 15 years. So he’s a guy that’s willing to help, already I can see (that). It’s good to have people like that added to the locker room. . . .“He’s working hard, and you can tell that he’s a competitor. I can see it in him.”He certainly offers a good example Womens Junior Seau Jersey , and might be the kind of addition to push a talented defense.

Reid then went on offense with his postgame comments Stefen Wisniewski Jersey , calling the Eagles safety and co-founder of The Players Coalition “a sellout.”Reid split from the coalition last year because Jenkins had excluded Colin Kaepernick from meetings, and asked players if they would stop protesting during the national anthem if the NFL made a charitable donation to causes they support. Reid, who signed with the Carolina Panthers in September, said he believed he no longer had shared interests with the socially-active coalition and would continue on his own path with the unsigned Kaepernick, who was the first player to sit and then kneel during the anthem to protest racism and police brutality.“We believe a lot of players should have stepped up for Colin,” Reid said Sunday after the Panthers beat the Eagles 21-17. “I believe Malcolm capitalized on the situation. He co-opted the movement that was started by Colin to get his organization funded. It’s cowardly. He sold us out.”Jenkins took the high road when told in the Eagles’ locker room of the criticism.“I’m not going to get up here and say anything negative about that man,” Jenkins said. “I respect him. I’m glad he has a job. I’m glad he’s back in the league. I’ll leave it like that.”Reid, who was not supposed to be at midfield, and Jenkins jawed at each other shortly before kickoff.Reid continued his tradition of taking a knee during “The Star-Spangled Banner,” while none of his Carolina teammates joined him or stood near him at midfield. Reid is trying to call attention to social and racial injustice.“It’s systematic oppression which is what I’m protesting and neocolonialism,” he said. “Man, it keeps happening.”Reid has essentially accused of Jenkins of running The Players Coalition through a dependence on the NFL. The league is committing $90 million over the next seven years to social justice causes in a three-segment plan that involves players.Reid said Jenkins’ goal was to always have the NFL fund the coalition.“That’s what he set out to do,” Reid said.Reid insisted he didn’t set out to confront Jenkins. But that’s what happened before kickoff. Reid, playing his third game with the Panthers, had to be restrained by players and coaches and stared down Jenkins during player introductions. Reid continued to pop off toward the Eagles sideline after an early tackle, clearly fired up by his showdown with Jenkins.“As long as we’re able to keep him under control http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-carson-wentz-jersey , I don’t even want to use that word ‘control,’ but as long as we’re able to try and get him calm so we can get focused and back on playing the game, I really do appreciate the effort he put in playing the game,” Panthers coach Ron Rivera said.Reid hit Carson Wentz well after a handoff and Zach Ertz gamely tried to defend his QB. Ertz charged at Reid, who put his head down and flipped the tight end with a WWE-style slam onto the turf. Both players received personal foul penalties.“He ran up on me,” Reid said. “That’s a football play. Whenever there’s an exchange, the quarterback is a running back.”Reid, signed by the Panthers when safety Da’Norris Searcy suffered a season-ending concussion, wore a T-shirt reading “I KNOW MY RIGHTS” in the locker room and refused to ease up on Jenkins or apologize for wiping out Ertz.“I think it was James Baldwin that said, ‘To be black in America and to be relatively conscious is to be in a constant state of anger,'” Reid said. “I’m in a constant state of anger.”He filed a grievance against the NFL alleging teams colluded against signing him during free agency because he knelt during the national anthem alongside Kaepernick and was out of work until Searcy was hurt. Kaepernick also has filed a grievance alleging he was not signed because of collusion by owners who wanted him out of the league because of his protests.“Eric Reid!!! Enough said!!!” Kaepernick tweeted in response to Reid’s comments, adding the hashtag #ImWithReid.Jenkins said he was glad Reid had returned to the league, and his play has proved it — Reid appeared to intercept Wentz’s overthrown pass to seal the win, but the play was overturned on a video review.“There’s no question about his talent and what he deserves,” Jenkins said. “I definitely think his stance was the reason he was on the street for as long as he was. I’ve maintained that the entire time he was out of the league and I still maintain that now.” LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles‘ recent struggles aren’t providing any comfort to the Los Angeles Rams. The NFC West champions have a few problems of their own for perhaps the first time this season. With three losses in their past five games, the Eagles (6-7) are facing an uphill challenge just to earn the opportunity to defend their Super Bowl title in the playoffs. Their offense can’t get rolling Womens Isaac Seumalo Jersey , the defense can’t defend the pass, and quarterback Carson Wentz’s fractured vertebra sits atop a bulging list of injury problems.Article continues below ...But the Eagles’ gritty performance in a 43-35 win at the Coliseum last season is still fresh in most football minds in Los Angeles. The Rams (11-2) would never take the champs lightly heading into the teams’ Sunday night showdown.“I still look at them like a Super Bowl-caliber team,” Rams receiver Robert Woods said. “Still the defending champs. We get a chance to play them in prime time. We get to play at home. We get to play well and redeem ourselves from last week.”The Rams can’t spend any time thinking about the Eagles’ woes, either. Los Angeles is coming off a dispiriting 15-6 loss in chilly Chicago during which it failed to score a touchdown for the first time in coach Sean McVay’s tenure.McVay has never lost consecutive games, and no team has beaten the Rams twice during his two seasons — but Philadelphia has a chance to do both. The coach has no trouble getting his players’ attention this week with the combination of their second loss and a visit from the champs.Wentz did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and on Saturday was declared out for the Rams game. Wentz’s second NFL season ended at the Coliseum a year ago when he tore a ligament in his left knee, but Nick Foles relieved him and led the Eagles to that win over his former franchise, clinching the NFC East in the process.Along with his Super Bowl MVP award, Foles always has motivation against the Rams: He started 11 games for the team in St. Louis in 2015, but he asked to leave after the Rams drafted Jared Goff in the ensuing spring.“Doesn’t affect much, because Carson is a great football player, but they also were able to win a Super Bowl with Nick playing really high-level football,” McVay said.More things to watch when Mike Trout’s favorite team visits him in Southern California:DEFENDING HOMEA huge contingent of Eagles fans undoubtedly will turn out at the Coliseum, but the Rams are finally building a home-field advantage that everyone felt during their 54-51 win over the Chiefs last month. The Rams are 6-0 at the Coliseum this season after going 4-11 in their temporary arena during the first two years.HARD TO SUBOne of the overlooked challenges for defenses that have to face the Rams and their high-powered offense is the difficulty in trying to rotate defensive players into the game because Los Angeles uses the same personnel group — three receivers, one tight end, one running back — almost the entire game.“The Rams don’t substitute very often,” Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said. “Even in short yardage and goal line Chuck Bednarik Jersey , they’re in the same personnel group. It does make it a little bit more difficult to sub. We’re going to have to be surgical with our substitutions, particularly on third down.”The Eagles struggled against the Saints, who also use an up-tempo offense. New Orleans beat Philadelphia 48-7 last month.“We didn’t react very well to it against the Saints. That had to do with a lot of the big plays we gave up in that game,” Schwartz said. “But we have a little bit more experience with it now. We have to do better.”GURLEY’S GAMETodd Gurley’s 28 yards rushing in Chicago were his fewest since his rookie season in 2015, and Dallas’ Ezekiel Elliott edged in front of him in the NFL rushing race . McVay blamed himself for not getting the ball into the hands of his franchise running back more often, and he seems determined to rectify that oversight.Rather than testing Fletcher Cox and the Eagles’ statistically stout run defense, the Rams may be tempted to throw excessively against the Eagles’ injury-riddled secondary, which likely means more targets for Gurley in the passing game.SPREADING IT AROUNDSince receiver Golden Tate arrived in Philadelphia, coaches have struggled to incorporate him into the offense. Tate only had one catch last week and played just 20 snaps. The offense has various options, including tight ends Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert and receivers Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor. But the Eagles traded a third-round pick for Tate, so he was expected to be a major part of the game plan each week.“It’s just trying to find the right balance and get those guys in the right position so that they can make the plays we need to help us win,” offensive coordinator Mike Groh said.

Well Youth Josh Lambo Jerseys , that was a turn of events. The Jaguars were on the doorstep of taking the lead. with a safety but didn’t score in a 14-play drive. After converting a fourth-and-one at the Titans 5, Jacksonville went for it on fourth-and-goal at the 1. Leonard Fournette was stopped for no gain after begin stopped for no gain from the 1 on second down. Cody Kessler overthew open fullback Tommy Bohanon on third down from the 1.On the Titans’ first play from scrimmage, Derrick Henry went 99 yards to tie Tony Dorsett’s NFL record for the longest run in NFL history. Henry broke three tackles in going from end zone to end zone.Henry has three 70-plus yard rushing touchdowns since 2017, the most in the NFL, according to NFL Research.Washington running back Adrian Peterson had a career-best 90-yard run for a touchdown on Monday night.Henry now has 129 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. The Titans missed the extra point so they lead 13-2. During the broadcast coverage of the game between the Jaguars and Texans, cameras panned to a shot of running backs Leonard Fournette and T.J. Yeldon sitting on the bench in a very nonchalant manner Josh Lambo Jerseys Stitched , seemingly disinterested in what was going on in the game. This shot and perhaps other things said or done on the sideline during the game, has apparently caught the ire of Executive VP of Football Operations, Tom Coughlin, as he released a scathing statement via the media. The Florida Times-Union’s Phillip Heilman tweeted out shortly after the game:It was pretty much understood Yeldon was making his final appearance as a Jaguar as he enters unrestricted free agency now in March, but the comments about Fournette, Coughlin’s first draft pick as Jaguars EVP and head personnel director Youth Brandon Linder Jerseys , coupled with the multitude of negative on and off the field events that has befallen the Jaguars running back in his short career, may be hinting that the team could be looking to part ways in the off-season.Frankly, Fournette has been a bust as a Jaguar, and his status now with the team is just another unanswered question the trio of Coughlin, Caldwell, and Marron must account for this winter. A situation that the same trio Brandon Linder Jerseys Stitched , who were assured of keeping their jobs earlier in the afternoon, created.

JACKSONVILLE Jacksonville Jaguars Jerseys 2019 , Fla. (AP) — a career-high 430 yards passing against Kansas City. His offensive line was the biggest problem. The Jacksonville Jaguars failed to give Bortles enough time or protection in a 30-14 loss at the Chiefs on Sunday. Bortles was sacked five times, fumbling once, and hurried way more often.According to Pro Football Focus, Jacksonville’s line allowed 24 total quarterback pressures — seven more than any other NFL team in Week 5.“We take an immense amount of pride in our work,” backup left tackle Josh Walker said Monday. “That’s going to be the goal of our group this week: to be more determined to be better and do a better job in protecting Blake. We’ve got to keep him clean. That’s our job and that’s what we’re going to do.“We’re fine. We’re not worried about things. We’re going to fix things.”The Jaguars (3-2) might have to make some roster changes to find help.Left tackle Josh Wells has a groin injury that could cause him to miss Sunday’s game at Dallas (2-3), and tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins is headed to injured reserve and will have core muscle surgery.Coach Doug Marrone said Wells is “week to week” and Seferian-Jenkins is expected to return later in the year.Running back Corey Grant (foot) also is done for the season, joining Leonard Fournette on the sideline. Fournette is expected to miss his fourth game of the season because of a sprained right hamstring. The Jaguars are planning to sign a running back and likely will do the same at left tackle.“When you add and you’re missing some key players, you have to play to the strengths of what they can do Youth Dontavius Russell Jersey ,” Marrone said. “It is a challenge for us, but there are teams that go through those same challenges. It’s going to be on us as coaches to do a good job of putting in the right plays, going to the right people and being able to go and execute it.”The O-line was Jacksonville’s weak link last year, failing to create holes for Fournette in the second half of the season. The Jags thought signing All-Pro left guard Andrew Norwell to a five-year, $66.5 million contract in free agency would solidify the front. But Norwell has been average, at best, while playing alongside three different left tackles: Cam Robinson, Wells and Walker. Robinson is out for the season with a knee injury.“We need to trust in each other Dontavius Russell Jersey Color Rush ,” Wells said. “The expectation level is still going to remain high. We need to put our head down and go back to work.”The Jaguars essentially abandoned the running game after falling behind 20-0 late in the second quarter. That put a lot of pressure on Bortles and even more stress on the line, which really struggled against speedy linebacker Dee Ford.Bortles completed 33 of 61 passes, with one touchdown and four interceptions.“Everyone is in a tough situation,” Marrone said. “You turn around the next day (and) you want to run the football. Looking back, maybe we started throwing it a little too early. Maybe we just were pressing too much early. … You’re always going to look at that and you’re not going to sit here and say that, ‘Hey, we’re a team that wants to throw the ball 60-something times.'” We’re less than 48 hours removed from the NFL Draft, so you know what that means — it’s 2020 mock draft time! The Jacksonville Jaguars are predicted to be a mid-tier team next year Womens Dontavius Russell Jersey , earning between..."We’re less than 48 hours removed from the NFL Draft, so you know what that means — it’s 2020 mock draft time! The Jacksonville Jaguars are predicted to be a mid-tier team next year, earning between seven and nine wins, and narrowly missing the postseason. So what does that mean for their 2020 plans? According to MockingTheDraft.com’s Dan Kadar, it means adding more offensive firepower in the first round.Ruggs is fast, folks. And he’d be a great complement to Dede Westbrook and DJ Chark who have (hopefully) developed into legitimate receiving threats this season. What do you think? Would you like to see a wide receiver in the first round next season? Or do you foresee something else happening? Let us know in the comments below!

A little Adam Shaheen Jerseys 2019 , by context."One of our time-honored traditions around here is trying to guess, over the course of many months, where the Falcons intend to go in the NFL Draft. Every now and then we get it right (Sean Weatherspoon, Jake Matthews), every now and then we really get it (2016), and most of the time we whiff. Terribly. To be fair, that’s true of most everyone trying to get their arms around an upcoming Falcons draft, because the Falcons are very good about concealing their plans until very late in the process. Calvin Ridley didn’t shock Mel Kiper and a handful of draft analysts, but it certainly caught me off guard given what I perceived to be this team’s most pressing needs. It does not help that Thomas Dimitroff has been literally saying the same thing for, and I’m being conservative here, one thousand years. It’s always “we like where we’re at,” “we could move up or down,” and “we expect there to be good players here.” That is not particularly helpful if you’re soothsaying.But...We still have some very strong clues about where the Falcons are headed this year, even if we don’t know who they’ll draft and in what order. Those clues primarily lie in the way the Falcons have handled their offseason. They’ve done cosmetic work on a handful of positions like cornerback and defensive end by re-signing useful reserves, but primarily they’ve invested their dollars in the offense. They brought back Ty Sambrailo as either the starting right tackle or the slam dunk swing tackle, they’ve added two starting guards, they’ve bolstered depth at tight end and running back, and they just brought back Justin Hardy. Aside from right tackle and depth at center, which is a genuine concern, the Falcons don’t have any holes that are screaming to be addressed in 2019.That sets the Falcons up beautifully for a primarily defensive draft, and I think we can feel reasonably confident they’ll go in that direction. With nine selections and a roster that probably doesn’t have nine spots open White Mitchell Trubisky Jerseys , we can also feel pretty certain the Falcons will move up if they feel they need to, which is a little more welcome this year given how starved this Falcons team looks to be for impact defenders, particularly at defensive end. They’ve virtually ensured that their first pick will be a defensive lineman, cornerback, or right tackle with their moves to this point, and I don’t expect a Calvin Ridley out of nowhere this year. So expect defense, heavy on the trenches and in the secondary, plus the usual grab bag of puzzling of at least unexpected selections on offense. Can’t wait. Phil Emery left behind a lot of frustration in Chicago. However, with a bit of perspective, it’s possible to see that the former GM for the Bears had at least a few victories."Phil Emery served as the Bears’ general manager for only three years, and his time is mostly remembered, justifiably, as a disaster. However, he actually drafted better than most fans might appreciate.Consider this—of the nearly 800 players drafted in the NFL during the time that Emery was a GM, a bit less than a third of them were active through 2018 (252/763). By comparison, 7 of Emery’s 20 draft picks were still active through 2018. That’s just a bit more than a third, but it functionally suggests that Emery was about average for the league. Already, Emery is doing better than most of his critics might suggest, and it actually gets better for the man’s advocates (if any such creatures exist).Only 91 of the 763 drafted players have been selected to Pro Bowls in some capacity. That’s about 12% of the total. Meanwhile, four of Emery’s picks were selected for the Pro Bowl; that’s 20%. The 2012, 2013 Mitchell Trubisky Jerseys 2019 , and 2014 drafts combined for 188 Pro Bowl selections. That’s good for 0.24 Pro Bowl selections per player taken. Phil Emery’s players combined for 6 Pro Bowl selections, good for 0.30 Pro Bowl selections per player taken. No matter how I work the numbers, Emery consistently found top-end talent more often than might be expected, and that’s impressive since his worst draft position was #14. Likewise, Emery’s selections have had staying power, too. A bit more than a third of players taken during this time (258) have played in at least 64 games, or the equivalent of four full seasons. Meanwhile, 8 of Emery’s selections (40%) have made that same mark. Given that Emery himself did not last four seasons, this suggests that his players have stayed because of their talent, not because of favoritism. In short, Emery was a bit better than the average for the league when evaluated in terms of his ability to find top-end talent and players with the potential to stay in the league. That seems wrong, but it holds true when the individual drafts are considered, as well.2012 was bad. Shea McClellin, taken with the 19th pick overall, is tied for the 79th most valuable player in that draft per Pro Football Reference’s CAV metric. That seems generous, but it also suggests that he “should have” been a third-rounder, and that seems fair. However, that same draft also saw Alshon Jeffery get selected in the second round. Jeffery is 16th in CAV out of that draft, and he’s second in that draft class for overall receiving yards, first in receiving touchdowns, and (despite his various troubles staying on the field) in the top thirty when it comes to starts coming out of that class. Whatever his struggles might be White Joel Iyiegbuniwe Jerseys , Jeffery was a solid pick, and Emery found him in his first year. However, Jeffery is both the beginning and the end of Emery’s early successes. This seems to validate the idea that a GM’s first year can often be a source of frustration for the fans of a franchise.2013 was impressive, though. Emery drafted three players in the top 64 when it comes to CAV, even though he was in the 20th draft position. This is the draft that saw the Bears take Kyle Long (13th in CAV) and Jordan Mills (17th in CAV) in the same draft, suggesting that Emery knew a thing or two about offensive linemen, if nothing else. While it’s fair to say that Jordan Mills had his limitations, it’s also fair to point out that he’s a fifth-round pick who has played for six full seasons in the NFL, making it as a designated starter for five of those seasons. So who is the third? Jonathan Bostic with 46 starts comes in at 61st in terms of CAV, and while Bostic has had trouble sticking with a team, the fact is that only 34 players in his draft class have more seasons as a designated starter than Bostic. By the measure of finding players who could stick in the NFL as starters, Emery’s work in 2013 was ahead of the curve.2014 was even more interesting. Bears fans should appreciate All-Pro Kyle Fuller’s selection in that draft at 14th overall, even if he is only 30th when it comes to CAV. If you want a more direct measure of football impact than Pro Football Reference’s franken-stat, just note that Kyle Fuller leads his draft class in interceptions, and even with his missing season (which hurts his rank in a lot of regards), he is still 60th in games played out of that draft class. However, the true steal was Charles Leno. Taken with the 246th pick in the draft, Leno is a Grabowski in the best sense of the term. He did make the Pro Bowl recently, but more importantly he has played in 70 games and started 62 of them. He is technically one spot ahead of Fuller in CAV, and locking down a left tackle position with steady (if unspectacular) play for years suggests that he was a solid pick. In fact, whether you judge by Pro Bowls Joel Iyiegbuniwe Jerseys 2019 , starts, or CAV, Leno is the fourth-best tackle taken in 2014, despite being the eleventh selected. An honorable mention should also go to Pat O’Donnell. Taken in the 6th round, he has demonstrated that sometimes it’s better to take a steady contributor on special teams, like a punter, than to take a player unlikely to make a roster. O’Donnell has more game appearances than any other 6th-rounder in his class, and he has at least been steady.Phil Emery had significant limitations as a general manager. He deserved to be let go. However, he actually beat the averages when it came to the draft, and the Bears still count on three of his players to be starters (Long, Leno, and Fuller) while gaining solid contributions from another player (O’Donnell). Three more players (Jeffery, Mills, and Bostic) were still making substantive contributions to their teams. Was Emery a good GM? Probably not. Did he make some surprisingly good draft picks? Upon further review, it really seems like he did. His selection of head coaches, on the other hand...

The NFC West champions have a few problems of their own for perhaps the first time this season. With three losses in their past five games Brian Dawkins Jersey , the Eagles (6-7) are facing an uphill challenge just to earn the opportunity to defend their Super Bowl title in the playoffs. Their offense can't get rolling, the defense can't defend the pass, and quarterback Carson Wentz's fractured vertebra sits atop a bulging list of injury problems. But the Eagles' gritty performance in a 43-35 win at the Coliseum last season is still fresh in most football minds in Los Angeles. The Rams (11-2) would never take the champs lightly heading into the teams' Sunday night showdown."I still look at them like a Super Bowl-caliber team," Rams receiver Robert Woods said. "Still the defending champs. We get a chance to play them in prime time. We get to play at home. We get to play well and redeem ourselves from last week."The Rams can't spend any time thinking about the Eagles' woes, either. Los Angeles is coming off a dispiriting 15-6 loss in chilly Chicago during which it failed to score a touchdown for the first time in coach Sean McVay's tenure.McVay has never lost consecutive games, and no team has beaten the Rams twice during his two seasons — but Philadelphia has a chance to do both. The coach has no trouble getting his players' attention this week with the combination of their second loss and a visit from the champs.Wentz did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and on Saturday was declared out for the Rams game. Wentz's second NFL season ended at the Coliseum a year ago when he tore a ligament in his left knee, but Nick Foles relieved him and led the Eagles to that win over his former franchise, clinching the NFC East in the process.Along with his Super Bowl MVP award, Foles always has motivation against the Rams: He started 11 games for the team in St. Louis in 2015, but he asked to leave after the Rams drafted Jared Goff in the ensuing spring."Doesn't affect much, because Carson is a great football player, but they also were able to win a Super Bowl with Nick playing really high-level football," McVay said.More things to watch when Mike Trout's favorite team visits him in Southern California:DEFENDING HOMEA huge contingent of Eagles fans undoubtedly will turn out at the Coliseum, but the Rams are finally building a home-field advantage that everyone felt during their 54-51 win over the Chiefs last month. The Rams are 6-0 at the Coliseum this season after going 4-11 in their temporary arena during the first two years.HARD TO SUBOne of the overlooked challenges for defenses that have to face the Rams and their high-powered offense is the difficulty in trying to rotate defensive players into the game because Los Angeles uses the same personnel group — three receivers http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-sidney-jones-jersey , one tight end, one running back — almost the entire game."The Rams don't substitute very often," Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said. "Even in short yardage and goal line, they're in the same personnel group. It does make it a little bit more difficult to sub. We're going to have to be surgical with our substitutions, particularly on third down."The Eagles struggled against the Saints, who also use an up-tempo offense. New Orleans beat Philadelphia 48-7 last month."We didn't react very well to it against the Saints. That had to do with a lot of the big plays we gave up in that game," Schwartz said. "But we have a little bit more experience with it now. We have to do better."GURLEY'S GAMETodd Gurley's 28 yards rushing in Chicago were his fewest since his rookie season in 2015, and Dallas' Ezekiel Elliott edged in front of him in the NFL rushing race . McVay blamed himself for not getting the ball into the hands of his franchise running back more often, and he seems determined to rectify that oversight.Rather than testing Fletcher Cox and the Eagles' statistically stout run defense, the Rams may be tempted to throw excessively against the Eagles' injury-riddled secondary, which likely means more targets for Gurley in the passing game.SPREADING IT AROUNDSince receiver Golden Tate arrived in Philadelphia, coaches have struggled to incorporate him into the offense. Tate only had one catch last week and played just 20 snaps. The offense has various options, including tight ends Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert and receivers Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor. But the Eagles traded a third-round pick for Tate, so he was expected to be a major part of the game plan each week."It's just trying to find the right balance and get those guys in the right position so that they can make the plays we need to help us win Womens Rasul Douglas Jersey ," offensive coordinator Mike Groh said. Philadelphia Eagles news and links for 3/20/19."Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...Report: Eagles ‘really like’ Alabama RB Josh Jacobs - CBS SportsGeoff Mosher: “I’ve been hearing that...don’t be shocked if the Eagles take a running back in the first round. They really like Josh Jacobs.” Adam Caplan: “I talked to Greg Cosell from NFL Films. He likes (Jacobs) a lot. An offensive coordinator who I ran into at the combine said Jacobs is his top graded back in the draft. He’s a three-down back.” Geoff Mosher: “I think we need to adjust our philosophy. The people that said Howie Roseman would never take a running back in the first round. Do remember, two years ago...if Christian McCaffery was there at No. 14, he would have been an Eagle.”Why The Eagles Brought Ronald Darby Back - BGNAll things considered, Darby’s transitional quickness gives him route-mirroring ability that is starting-caliber in the NFL; his click-and-close explosiveness and catch-point skills are in the upper echelon of NFL starters altogether. Darby hasn’t finished a season since 2016, but he has Pro Bowl ability on the field, and if he can stay healthy (and return to health without losing his athletic ability), Eagles fans should be excited about his starting role in 2019.NFC East free agency grades: Dallas Cowboys edition - PhillyVoiceWithout knowing exactly what Lawrence is looking for, contract-wise, the clock is ticking on a resolution there. The Cowboys can ill-afford to mess up that situation, because their defense is in deep trouble without him. Otherwise, predictably, the Cowboys were not players in the first wave of free agency. They’ll hunt bargains the rest of the way. Their grade is probably better saved until we see what these contract extensions for their current players look like, but they might not happen until much later this offseason. For now, we’ll give them an arbitrary C+.Lawlor: Players show they want to come to Philly - PE.comI think you have to give Howie Roseman a lot of credit for adding an impact player to the offense and defense. Too often people think of teams that make the most moves as being those who win in the offseason. That’s wrong. You want to make smart Mack Hollins Jersey , selective moves. The Eagles have done just that. One thing that really stood out to me is that players wanted to be here. Graham didn’t even talk to other teams. He wanted to stay with the Eagles. Malik Jackson wants to play in an attacking scheme and for a winning team. DeSean Jackson has talked a lot over the years about wanting a chance to return to Philly.2019 NFL Free Agency winners and losers: PFF WAR - PFFWhile getting back a first- and a third-round pick for Odell Beckham Jr. may seem like a strong return, the truth of the matter is this: OBJ was one of the most valuable non-quarterbacks in recent memory and his nearly two full wins above replacement are going to be hard to come by. Combine that with their loss of Landon Collins, who was worth three-quarters of a win, on the defensive side of the ball, and the Giants have done more harm than good to a roster depleted of playmakers outside of Saquon Barkley.A Giant Mess - RotoworldThere’s no denying Barkley’s remarkable skill set, but when a foundation piece at the most important position is staring you square in the face, you don’t dare look that gift horse in the mouth. To say Barkley had a superior rookie year to Darnold is both a statement of fact and a short-sighted, ludicrously flawed rationale for Gettleman’s poor use of draft capital. Even if Barkley continues on this path and becomes the next LaDainian Tomlinson—a distinct possibility after leading the league in yards from scrimmage last year—the Giants still got it wrong from a team-building philosophy. It’s not just that running backs have a significantly shorter shelf life than QBs (the continued dominance of Drew Brees and Tom Brady would point to that fact). It’s a simple matter of supply and demand. Compared to elite quarterbacks, star running backs practically grow on trees. Chris Carson was four picks away from being Mr. Irrelevant two years ago. Phillip “who lives at home” Lindsay wasn’t even drafted last year. Both rushed for over 1,000 yards last season.Eagles’ offseason is going much better than rest of NFC East - NBCSPCollins got a mega-deal, the kind the Giants were never going to pay him. The ‘Skins got a great player, but they clearly had to overpay to do it. He’s getting $14M a year. The Keenum deal isn’t awful given their circumstances, but Keenum vs. Colt McCoy in training camp kind of tells you about the ceiling the Redskins have in 2019.They actually signed Flowers, the failed Giants draft pick http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-brian-westbrook-jersey , and plan to play him at guard. The Eagles have to be thrilled about that decision. The worst part of the ‘Skins’ offseason is that we’re apparently finding out about all these moves at the same time as head coach Jay Gruden. According to a report from 106.7, Gruden learned about the Collins signing only when a media member texted him. That’s not great.Passing-game role makes Ezekiel Elliott even more valuable - PFTAlso, there are two contracts that control the relationship: The contract between the player and the team, and the contract between the union and the league. Elliott has rights under the broader contract that are independent of his individual contract, and that allow him to technically violate the terms of his own deal. that group), which says a lot about the job Ozzie Newsome did building those teams.Redskins Sign Offensive Lineman Ereck Flowers to a One-Year Deal - Hogs HavenThe Redskins just received some help on the offensive line, and it comes in the form of a 6’6” 335 pound 24 year old player. Former Giants first round pick Ereck Flowers has signed a one-year, $4 million dollar contract to join the Washington Redskins.Jets re-sign Eric Tomlinson and Brent Qvale - Gang Green Nation[BLG Note: The Eagles originally signed Tomlinson as an undrafted free agent back in 2015 and he’s still hanging on in the league.]Slot size matters - Niners NationYou just need to scheme for it, and add downfield blocking to your mix. This is what Chip Kelly did at Oregon, but was never quite able to achieve in the NFL. And he picked Jordan Matthews in the second round of his second draft as part of his attempt to make it happen. Kelly’s Philly teams had great WR blocking, once DeSean Jackson was gone, and one of the best blocking receivers was a veteran named Miles Austin, now an offensive quality control coach for the Niners. He mentored Matthews in Philly and recruited him to the team this offseason, Matthews told team reporter Keiana Martin. The completely risk free nature of Mychal Kendricks’ contract with the Seahawks - Field GullsIt has been less than a week since the Seattle Seahawks inked Mychal Kendricks to a one year contract Womens Destiny Vaeao Jersey , and that has led many observers to believe that it was an extremely good sign for his prospects for freedom. Terms of the contract have now been released, and it shows that the signing carries effectively no financial risk for the Hawks, as there is no guaranteed money. If the Giants pass on Haskins the Jaguars’ decision may not be easy - Big Cat CountryThe question the Jaguars need to answer is how close they think this team is to competing without upgrading the offensive line or receiving corps with their present draft slot. As Oehser further noted, if the Jaguars believe Foles is the answer then they should not expect to be sitting high in in the first round for a few years to come. Your opportunity to grab a premier quarterback may be a present truth. Oehser makes a compelling point, one that mirrors what the Green Bay Packers did years ago when you still had Brett Favre on the roster but Aaron Rodgers fell to them. If you believe Haskins has the head for the NFL, but needs some bench time to transition considering his limited playing time at Ohio State, sitting behind Foles seems like an optimal scenario for the Jaguars. How the NFL can save the onside kick - ESPNThe NFL’s onside kick might be responsible for more drama than any other single strategy in football. The mere possibility that a team can steal an extra possession has preserved hope and extended the attention of fans for generations. So it’s no wonder that the competition committee and coaches around the league are scouring for ways to restore the onside kick this offseason after it faded as a viable option in 2018. Restricted by rule changes designed to make the kickoff safer, teams recovered only four of 52 attempts last season for a 7.7 conversion rate -- a sharp drop from 2017 (21.1) and well below the long-term average between 2001 and 2017 (19.7 percent). What Does All That Cap Space Really Mean for NFL Teams, and How Should They Use It? - The RingerThe Colts came into free agency with over $100 million in room and big expectations. But as they’ve played things conservatively, Indy has illustrated the value in using that financial flexibility with patience and creativity.Ledyard: 2019 NFL Draft Edge Defender Rankings - The Draft NetworkNick Bosa or Josh Allen? Montez Sweat or Brian Burns? Rashan Gary or Chase Winovich? These are the questions that will invade our pre-draft conversations from now until April 25th. While the draft world likely remains unsettled on anything close to a strong consensus on the 2019 edge defender class, my grade on the position group have been finalized. I went trait-by-trait to break down how each of my top nine prospects grade out.Is DeSean Jackson actually a good fit for the Eagles? - SB NationThe Eagles brought back a fan favorite in DeSean Jackson, but is he right player to help Philadelphia’s offense take off? That means rumors are abundant and hot takes are heating up regarding what the Jacksonville Jaguars may do at No. 7 overall and throughout the duration of the event. The Jaguars have also been busy re-signing familiar faces, working out some new players and bringing in depth pieces. Let’s review some of the most recent Jags news and notes:Doug Pederson, Nick Foles’ former head coach in Philadelphia (and offensive coordinator in Kansas City), had very high praise for Foles. Pederson called his former quarterback a “great person” and a “great leader” at the 2019 NFL Annual Meeting. The Jaguars offseason program dates have been announced: Voluntary offseason workouts begin April 15. Organized Team Activities start on May 21 and mandatory minicamp is scheduled for June 11-13. The Jaguars signed former Houston Texans running back Alfred Blue to a one-year deal after bringing him in for a visit. Blue joins Nick Foles (QB), Cedric Ogbuehi (OT), Jake Ryan (LB), Chris Conley (WR) and Geoff Swaim (tight end) as the newest additions in Duval. The Jaguars have also signed another running back today — Benny Cunningham. Cunningham provides more depth in the backfield and also has experience returning kicks. Jacksonville has been re-signing a lot of its offensive lineman from last season. Most recently, the Jaguars have decided to bring back offensive tackle Josh Wells for depth. The team also recently re-signed backup center Tyler Shatley and starting right guard A.J. Cann. The front office also decided to bring back tight end James O’Shaughnessy. We finally have some clarity into wide receiver Marqise Lee’s recovery timetable, and he may not be available until late in the preseason — but sounds on track to be available for Week 1. Yours truly joined the Locked On Jaguars podcast with Zach Goodall. We talked about Alfred Blue, first-round needs, and one of my personal favorite prospects, Michigan State cornerback Justin Layne. You can listen to it here. Jaguars fans are fairly optimistic about the 2019 season outlook, and 95 percent of FanPulse voters think the team is in a better position following free agency. The 2019 Jacksonville Jaguars draft hats are here. What do you think? Via News4JAX, The Jaguars are projected to win eight games in 2018, according to a Las Vegas oddsmaker, CG Technology. Every AFC South team was projected at least eight wins, though. The Jaguars are reportedly “very interested” in Mississippi tight end Dawson Knox. Recapping former Jaguars first round picks: Who is your favorite? Who had the best career? Who was most disappointing? Nick Foles gives the Jaguars the quarterback consistency they were missing. Mock Draft season in full swing: Tom Fornelli, CBS Sports: Interesting — Jaguars receive and extra first-round pick by trading No. 7 overall to the Green Bay Packers, who select Alabama DL Quinnen Williams. The Jaguars then take Clemson edge rusher Clelin Ferrrell at No. 12 overall and Iowa tight end Noah Fant at No. 30 overall selections. Todd McShay and Mel Kiper Dueling Mock Draft, ESPN (Insider Access): Both agree on Florida offensive tackle Jawaan Tayor in Round 1 Youth Josh Lambo Jerseys , but Kiper mocks Washington safety Taylor Rapp to Jacksonville in Round 2, while McShay goes with wide receiver N’Keal Harry out of Arizona State.Charles Davis Mock Draft 2.0, NFL.com: Jawaan Taylor, OT, FloridaHead-to-Head mock with Steve Palazzolo and Mike Renner, Pro Football Focus: D.K. The 2019 NFL Draft season unofficially kicks off this week in Mobile, Alabama as front office and coaching staffs from all 32 teams will be on hand for the annual Reese’s Senior Bowl.Historically,..."The 2019 NFL Draft season unofficially kicks off this week in Mobile, Alabama as front office and coaching staffs from all 32 teams will be on hand for the annual Reese’s Senior Bowl.Historically, you can count on likely seeing at least one future Jaguars player on the field this week during practices and culminating in the game on Saturday Josh Lambo Jerseys Stitched , January 26th. Since 2013, the Dave Caldwell and Tom Coughlin led staff has drafted 10 players who have appeared in the game, including notable names like Brandon Linder, Telvin Smith, and recently D.J. Chark. While the game is the feature of the week, most of the scouting takes place during the week of practices, which begin Monday. Big Cat Country will keep you updated on all the week’s happenings, as well as who the Jaguars brass has been spotted meeting with. With that in mind, here are a few players to keep an eye on that may be a focus of attention for the team this week in Mobile.Feel free to comment on who you will be looking forward to watching this week as well. The quarterbacksWhile you won’t be seeing the two biggest names at the quarterback position for the upcoming draft, in Dwayne Haskins and Kyler Murray respectively, just about every other quarterback the Jaguars could have interest in this April will be on the field in Mobile this week.Among the participants you’re likely to be hearing the Jaguars as having met up with at some point, are Daniel Jones (Duke), Drew Lock (Missouri), and Will Grier (West Virginia). The three have all been linked as potential first-round selections, and this will be a huge week in determining if those words gain any traction. Even if the Jags don’t have first-round grades on them themselves, more quarterbacks pushed higher in the draft would potentially provide better options for the team at No. 7 overall, should another quarterback-needy team decide to wait. One name to keep an eye on that won’t be a Thursday night pick, but could be a very intriguing option if the Jaguars were to decide on going with a Nick Foles for a couple years while developing a guy, is Buffalo’s Tyree Jackson who will be a part of the North squad. The redshirt junior and three-year starter decided to enter the draft rather than transfer to a Power 5 conference school after being named the MAC Player of the Year following a season in which he threw for over 3,000 yards and 28 touchdowns. Jackson checks all the prototypical quarterback boxes — 6’7, 245 lbs., strong arm, and athletic enough in the pocket. He is still very raw, however, and would not be a NFL-ready player on draft weekend Youth Brandon Linder Jerseys , but may be someone Tom Coughlin and Dave Caldwell could easily fall in love with this week.David Sills V, WR, South TeamWide receiver is a need the Jaguars will be addressing via free agency and potentially early in the draft. Sills is a two-time Biletnikof Award semi-finalist, First-team All- Big 12 award winner, and third team AP All-American. He finished 2018 with 96 receptions, for 986 yards, and 15 touchdowns and was often the favorite target of Grier. He’s got a big frame, at 6’3 203 lbs., and is in the mold of an Allen Robinson, a good 50/50 ball target who is exceptional in the red zone, something the Jags currently are lacking. Sills is currently projected as a Day 2 selection.Ben Powers and Dru Samia, OL, South TeamThe performance of the interior line duo from Oklahoma, will likely be of keen interest to the Jags this week, as the team will be looking to both improve upon the starting line up of a unit decimated by significant injuries in 2018 and which is likely to undergo more turnover in 2019, due to a combination of free agency losses and injury rehabs. Powers and Samia are both AP All-Americans and played a big part in the Heisman seasons of Baker Mayfield and Murray, respectively. Both guards are currently projected as Day 2 selections but could enhance their stock will big performances.Ben Banogu, LB, North TeamWhile the off-season priority is very likely to be the reconstruction of the offense, that doesn’t mean the Jaguars will completely negate potential improvements on the defensive side of the ball — enter TCU’s Banogu. The first-team AP All-Big 12 “tweener” finished 2018 with 18 tackles for loss, and his second consecutive year with 8.5 sacks. Listed as a linebacker for the Senior Bowl, he played primarily as an edge rusher in TCU’s scheme. The Jaguars will likely turn to the draft’s later rounds to look for another compliment on the outside of the defensive line to Yannick Ngakoue after Dante Fowler Jr.’s departure, and Banogu could potentially fit that role.

Jameis Winston practiced Wednesday for the first time since serving a three-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy White Joel Iyiegbuniwe Jerseys , returning to a team that's ridden Ryan Fitzpatrick's arm to a surprising 2-1 start."I'm excited to be back," a beaming Winston said. "I'm so happy we had some success. ... We've got to keep it up."Fitzpatrick, a 35-year-old journeyman who's played for seven teams over 14 seasons, has thrown for 1,230 yards and 11 touchdowns while becoming the first player in league history to top 400 yards passing in three consecutive games."When a guy throws for 400 yards three games in a row, you gotta love that," Winston said, adding that he's happy for Fitzpatrick Joel Iyiegbuniwe Jerseys 2019 , as well as proud of the entire team for how it performed in his absence."Me being back, nothing's changing. I'm happy that when we have a win, I can dap guys up and celebrate with them," he added. "That's the part you miss, that team bonding."Winston was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 draft and started 45 of 48 games the past three seasons.Coach Dirk Koetter remained mum on who will start Sunday's game at Chicago. He has informed both Winston and Fitzpatrick, but has no intentions of letting the Bears know what's planned.Winston took a stab at diffusing the conversation before retreating."I'm here to assist the best way I possibly can," the fourth-year pro when asked what his reaction be to not being the starter against the Bears. "My passion for this team, my love for this team goes beyond whether I'm out there throwing the football for this team or not."Without hesitation White Anthony Miller Jerseys , he quickly added: "It's my first day back. Let me enjoy that before I (answer) any more questions about that."Fitzpatrick is expected to meet with the media on Thursday."It's about the team's success. I'm not a selfish player, it's about our team," Winston said. "We're out here doing big things, and we've got to continue doing that."The 2013 Heisman Trophy winner practiced with the Bucs for the first time since the preseason. He was forbidden to be at the team's training facility or have contact with coaches of teammates during the suspension.Tuesday was the first day Winston was allowed to get back to work. He arrived at the complex at about 5:30 a.m., even though it was an off day for teammates following Monday night's 30-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.Winston recruited a couple of coaches and more than 20 players, including former NFL receiver Louis Murphy, to join him for workouts designed to help the quarterback remain sharp and in condition during the layoff."I did my best impersonation of what it would be like being here," Winston said. "I got guys from the Orlando area Anthony Miller Jerseys 2019 , Fort Lauderdale, Lakeland. ... We just went to work. I didn't want the guys in this building to be working hard and I wasn't out there doing my thing."Teammates were excited to have Winston back in the locker room and on the practice field. They insist they won't take sides in the quarterback situation, stressing that they're confident they can with Winston or Fitzpatrick."Jameis handled it like a pro. What else would you expect?" Koetter said."He came back prepared. That's no surprise," Koetter added. "It was great to have him back. Jameis is a favorite of everyone around here, so great to have his energy back in the building, his smile back in the building. I know he's happy to be here. We're happy to have him." Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald joined some elite company Saturday night. He became only the third player in NFL history to repeat as defensive player of the year.Former Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor won back-to-back awards in 1981-82, and Texans defensive end J.J. Watt won the award in 2014-15.Donald won last year after making 11 sacks in 14 games and was rewarded with a $135 million extension in the offseason. He was even better this season with 20.5 sacks in 16 games, the most by an interior lineman in NFL history.“Anytime you’re rewarded for the success you have White James Daniels Jerseys , you’re going to be happy because you put the body of work in,” Donald said earlier this week, via the . “A lot of hard work. A lot of training. A lot of things you do behind the scenes.“And to see you get rewarded, you know, you’d be happy for that.”Donald beat out Bears linebacker Khalil Mack, getting 45 of the 50 votes. Mack, who made 47 tackles, 12.5 sacks James Daniels Jerseys 2019 , six forced fumbles, four pass breakups, 10 tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries after the Raiders traded him to Chicago, received the other five votes.Mack won the award in 2016.

Well Womens Isaac Rochell Jersey , dang. with the Oakland Raiders for $44 million across the next four years, the Chargers had to say goodbye to one of Tom Telesco’s greatest..."Well, dang. With Tyrell Williams chasing the bag and signing with the Oakland Raiders for $44 million across the next four years, the Chargers had to say goodbye to one of Tom Telesco’s greatest UDFA finds.Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock the last couple years, you can likely recall Tyrell’s breakout season in 2016 when Keenan Allen was lost for the year after an ACL injury in week one of that season.Williams went on to eclipse the 1,000-yard receiving mark after catching 69 passes and seven touchdowns, taking full advantage of the gleaming opportunity in front of him. Each of the last two seasons, back in a complimentary role, Williams still managed to average 42 catches, 690 yards, and 4.5 touchdowns per season, while averaging 16.9 and 15.9 yards per reception in ‘17 and ‘18, respectively. Now that he has taken his talents to The Bay, the Chargers are stuck filling the the void left by the lengthy speedster. Although the situation isn’t as dreadful given the recent emergence of Mike Williams as the team’s unabashed WR2, the skill-set that Tyrell brought was still unique and you can’t take the attention he commanded from defenses for granted. He could stretch the field with the best of them while being one of the tallest wideouts on any given field. At this very moment, there are four wide receivers vying for playing time in the absence of Tyrell: the longest-tenured up to this point being Travis Benjamin, last year’s sixth-round selection Dylan Cantrell Michael Badgley Jersey , and the two recently re-signed guys, Geremy Davis and Artavis Soctt. Now, how could each receiver play a part in the Bolts’ offense in 2019? Let’s take a look.Travis Benjamin5-foot-10175 poundsCareer Stats: 202 catches for 3,113 yards and 19 touchdownsBenjamin was an exciting addition to the team prior to the 2016 season as a known field stretcher. He parlayed his breakout 2015 season with the Browns, in which he caught 68 passes for 966 yards and five touchdowns, into a nice contract with the Bolts. His most productive campaign with the Chargers came in his first year with the team. Like Tyrell, he took advantage of the increased snaps via Allen’s ACL tear and turned that into 47 catches for 677 yards and four touchdowns. After the emergence of Williams and the new Williams getting drafted in 2017, Benjamin found himself relegated to a much more limited role in 2018, posting the lowest season numbers of his career since his sophomore campaign (12 catches for 186 yards and a score). This past season, Benjamin was used as nothing more than a decoy on screens and orbit motions in order to give defenses something to look at pre-snap. He eventually watched all of his special teams snaps dwindle away in favor of Desmond King, but that was because King didn’t RUN THE OPPOSITE WAY ON A PUNT RETURN AND COST THE TEAM A SAFETY AGAINST THE PATRIOTS.Hell, even before Benjamin’s punt return debacle, he started falling fast out of Coach Lynn’s favor when he made it extremely obvious he was afraid of contact. That type of player isn’t cut-out for a Lynn-led team.My take: I have been on the side that believes Benjamin needs to be cut before next season in order to clear up some cap space for the team to make another move or two prior to the draft. Getting rid of number 12 would save the team about $5 million dollars, just under the rough amount needed to sign the entire 2019 draft class.Dylan Cantrell6-foot-3226 poundsCareer Stats: NoneCantrell turned heads with his performance at the 2018 NFL Combine when he turned in one of the best physical profiles by a receiver in recent memory. His RAS (relative atheltic score) was good 30th among wide receivers dating all the way back to 1987.At 226 pounds, Cantrell ran a 4.59 forty (4.44 at his pro day) and jumped an exceptional 38.5 inches in the vertical and 10-feet 10-inches in the broad jump. His numbers also back-up his phenomenal contested catch skills that are super evident on tape. He reminded me of Stevie Johnson whenever he sailed through the air, contorting his body to make the tough catch in the back of the end zone or along the sideline. If Lynn decided to plug Cantrell into the lineup, the Chargers would instantly have one of Drue Tranquill Los Angeles Chargers Jerseys , if not, the tallest set of pass-catchers in the NFL. Cantrell, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Hunter Henry would look like the beginning of a basketball lineup with their 6-3, 6-3, 6-4, and 6-5 measurements. If you guys can recall, Cantrell isn’t far removed from being a training camp superstar before he succumbed to a bone bruise prior to the exhibition games. Each practice recap usually mentioned Cantrell or Mike-Will at least once having made a spectacular catch or some other eye-popping play. My Take: Give Cantrell the WR3 spot and prosper. It’ll be the second coming of “Basketball on Turf”Geremy Davis6-foot-3211 poundsCareer Stats: 2 catches for 21 yardsDavis was the team’s most recent signing this offseason as they brought the 27-year old wideout back following a standout year on special teams. The former sixth-round draft pick of the New York Giants led the Chargers in receiving during the 2018 preseason slate and made his fair share of spectacular catches against the San Francisco 49ers in the finale. At 6-foot-3, Davis fits right in to the taller mold of current Chargers wide receivers. If there is anyone that comes to mind right away when I think of Davis, it’s Dontrelle Inman, now of the Indianapolis Colts. If you guys can remember back, Inman was actually used quite a bit in 1-WR sets when the team decided to deploy two or three tight ends to help establish the run. Although Inman was far from the best receiver on the team, he found himself gaining snaps due to an undervalued aspect of being a receiver. My Take: If there is a way for Geremy Davis to leapfrog any of the receivers listed above him, it’s with his knack for doing the little things right and finding success in the third phase of the game. If anything, I would be more than content with Davis being the team’s WR4.Artavis Scott5-foot-11195 poundsCareer Stats: NoneScott was productive from start to finish during his collegiate career at Clemson. It obviously helped to be a part of one of the most-explosive offenses over the last five years that was quarterbacked by former first-round pick Deshaun Watson. As a freshman in 2015, Scott posted a 76-965-8 stat line Los Angeles Chargers Jerseys Stitched , his best/most productive campaign to date. He followed that up with another season of 900+ receiving yards and six touchdowns before declining into a 614-yard, five touchdown final season. At the 2017 NFL Combine, the 195-pound Scott ran a surprisingly slow 4.61 forty which didn’t bode well for his athletic profile heading into the draft. Even with all his production, Scott went undrafted before being signed by the Bolts.Like Davis and Cantrell, Scott had his fair share of impressive catches throughout training camp and the preseason but there is not much he brings to the table athletically. He isn’t fast, sudden, or explosive, which will only make his path to playing time that much harder. There’s not much to say about a small receiver who is better at walling off defenders for contested catches than one who can create his own separation from defenders. My Take: I’m not sure there is going to be a place for Scott on the team unless Benjamin gets cut and they keep him as a fifth wide receiver. Out of these four, I think Scott has the biggest odds to defy. The Los Angeles Chargers had a top-10 defense by most worthwhile metrics and that certainly held up to the eye test. That said, the defense certainly still had some weaknesses, and one of those weak points was along the interior of the defensive line. Pro Football Focus’ Steve Palazzolo took notice of that in making his Chargers pick in his newest mock draft by selecting Notre Dame’s Jerry Tillery. The Fighting Irish’s defensive tackle sports the best pass rushing grade by an interior defensive lineman per Pro Football Focus. A converted offensive tackle, Tillery put up 7.0 sacks, 8.5 tackles for loss, and forced two fumbles during his Senior season to cap off a four-year career in South Bend.Tillery would go a good ways toward curing what ails the Chargers’ defense by strengthening the defensive front both against the run and the pass. His 6’7”, 305 lb frame would be a welcome addition to a defensive interior that needs an infusion of both bulk and talent.

EAST RUTHERFORD http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-haloti-ngata-jersey , N.J. (AP) — moment.Pittsburgh’s Immaculate Reception. Dallas’ Hail Mary. Tennessee’s Music City Miracle. For New York Giants‘ fans, there is The Fumble .Not quite the legacy you embrace. On Monday, the 40th anniversary hit of what might be the most infamous moment in the history of one of league’s oldest franchises. It was on Nov. 19, 1978 in the waning seconds against the Philadelphia Eagles. New York, which was going through tough times, had a surprising 17-12 lead. With the Eagles void of timeouts, all the Giants had to do was run out the final minute on the clock. Joe Pisarcik, a young quarterback, botched a handoff with veteran Larry Csonka with less than 30 seconds to play, and cornerback Herm Edwards picked up the loose ball and ran it into the end zone, giving the Eagles a stunning win.Eagles fans call it “The Miracle at the Meadowlands.”For Giants fans, it was one of those moments you never forget what you were doing. For some, it still stings.Giants co-owner John Mara says it might be his least favorite play and the low point in franchise history, which dates to 1925. He was in his third year of law school at Fordham and was working the game for CBS at Giants Stadium in the broadcast booth as a spotter for play-by-play man Don Criqui.“I remember it happening,” Mara said. “I remember thinking we had the game won. It should come as no surprise to you, I remember slamming my fist down on the table and, back then, they had the actual microphones on the table instead of the headsets they wear now, and I think the microphones ended up falling all over the place.”Mara never worked another game, assuming that CBS didn’t want him back.“That’s probably the last place I should be, in a broadcast booth during a game,” Mara said, laughing. “It was a pretty miserable feeling for quite some time.”It only got worse the next day, sitting in the library at law school.“I felt like the world had just ended, and I had a professor at the time, he was my evidence professor. He was a wise guy and walked in the library and looked at me. He was about 20 feet away, and he pointed at me and just started laughing. I wanted to kill him. If I didn’t have one of my closest friends trying to calm me down, I might have. It was the wrong moment on the wrong day.”Four decades later Womens Nate Gerry Jersey , Edwards says he was just in the right place at the right time with the Eagles in an all-out blitz.“For me personally, you’re always going to be subject of that play,” said Edwards, who now coaches Arizona State. “There’s kind of an irony to it all because all of a sudden, you play in the league for as long as I played, never missed a down, never missed a start, and that’s kind of the play that defines my career. Then again I look at it, too, it was a good play and not a play that’s not so good. In my position, you could be on the bad end of some of those plays, you know?”Edwards, who was beaten on one of Pisarcik’s two touchdown passes earlier in the game, still hears stories about the game.“One guy told me, ‘My dad was watching it when he saw it, he threw his television and broke the television.’ You get all kinds of stories like that,” he said.Giants fans have tons of stories, too.Terry Reddington, of Ridgefield, Connecticut, didn’t blink when asked the significance of Nov. 19, 1978 when asked before Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay.“Pisarcik,” the 66-year-old accountant answered.Reddington has missed only seven games since becoming a season ticket holder, and he was at that one with Kevin Kolmer, a former classmate at Villanova. They had a $20 bet on the outcome.“I’m sitting with him and he’s an Eagles fan. He hands me $20. Right! The game was over,” Reddington said. “All the sudden I see the thing go right in front of me. I am looking around in disbelief. I had a Styrofoam cooler. I crushed that, and now I have to give him $40. It was something else that day.”Tony Mancuso, who shares season tickets now Youth Brandon Graham Jerseys , wasn’t at that game. He was a corrections officer finishing a hospital duty shift. He was paying at toll on the Tappan Zee Bridge and listening to Jim Gordon doing the play by play on radio when the fumble happened.“I just sat there and I got yelled at by the guy in the booth because I was just sitting there screaming at the radio,” said Mancuso, a 68-year-old who now lives in Goshen, New York.Henry Pontilione, 87, of Rutherford, New Jersey, was on the escalator leaving the stadium when the groans started.“We tried to get back to take a look at what happened and all I could see were the Eagles getting ready to kick the point after,” he said. “I would have never thought they could actually fumble the ball and lose the game. All they had to do was take a knee. It was incredible. I’ve been asked so many times, too many to count, if I was there for The Fumble, and I have to tell people that I was. As a lifelong Giants fan and season ticket holder, I was never more embarrassed. It was actually sad.”And painful.“It was like getting kicked in the gut,” said Kathy Dunn of Montvale, New Jersey, who was at Sunday’s game with her husband, Ken.Anthony Cardino, 72, of Hoboken, New Jersey, was getting ready to leave the stadium. Suddenly, the ball was on the ground, Edwards was sprinting toward the end zone and “all hell broke loose.” It turned Giants fans against the organization. Some burned their tickets. Others refused to go to games.“Unfortunately, Pisarcik’s legacy will always be that play,” Cardino said. “There was the ball, sitting on the ground. I still can’t believe it happened.”Jim Scully of Freehold, New Jersey, wasn’t at the game but he remembered it while sitting in the parking lot at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. His grandfather was hospitalized in Jersey Shore Medical Center on the day of the game. One of his nurses was Pisarcik’s aunt.“She was heartbroken Brandon Graham Jerseys Stitched ,” said Scully, a, retired member of the Monmouth County prosecutor’s office. “I remember her telling me, her dad, his grandfather, had tears in his eyes.”The play had its fallout, too.The Giants fired offensive coordinator Bob Gibson the following day. He was old school and didn’t believe in taking a knee. So he called a running play to Csonka. There was talk in the huddle of changing the call, but the play was run and the fumble happened. In the aftermath, taking a knee became an accepted norm in the league. After the season, the Giants did not renew the contract of coach John McVay and released Andy Robustelli, the team’s director of operations. With co-owners Wellington and Tim Mara feuding, NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle worked out an agreement for them to hire George Young as general manager for the 1979 season. New York won its first Super Bowl after the 1986 season.“Some people claim it (The Fumble) was the best thing that ever happened to us,” John Mara said. “For those of us who were there and experienced that, it’s pretty hard to accept that.”Edwards said the win catapulted the Eagles to the playoffs and then a Super Bowl appearance in January 1981.“We had a heck of a playoff run the next four years,” Edwards said. “It was the play where it looks like we’re not going to win, another tough loss and … I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time. You move on, and that season and the following seasons, we start making plays, winning close games.”No Fumbles required. Will the Eagles trade up in the first? Add more picks? We don’t have much longer to wait to find out."The Eagles didn’t get quite as many compensatory picks this offseason that we had hoped for, but the team still has seven total picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. Howie Roseman has talked about how he uses free agency to make sure there aren’t any “must gets” once they reach the draft, and can instead add depth throughout the roster.1st - No. 25There’s been plenty of speculation as to whether the team will trade up or down, but for right now, the team will start off Thursday night’s Round 1 at the No. 25 overall spot. The event will kick-off at 8 p.m. ET, and will be aired on ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network. Each team gets 10 minutes on the clock for their first round picks, so should the Eagles not get involved in any kind of first round trades — and with teams (hopefully) having less names to rearrange on their big boards in Round 1 — Philadelphia’s pick should come in around 10-10:30 p.m. ET.Last 5 No. 25 picks:2018: Hayden Hurst (TE), Ravens2017: Jabrill Peppers (S) Youth Rodney McLeod Jerseys , Browns2016: Artie Burns (CB), Steelers2015: Shaw Thompson (OLB), Panthers2014: Jason Verrett (DB), Chargers2nd - No. 53 (from Ravens)Round 2 and 3 will get underway on Friday evening, with the action beginning at 7 p.m. ET (again, airing on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network). The Eagles have 2 second round picks, but no third rounder — for now — so it could be an early night.Teams have slightly less time on Friday, getting 7 minutes per pick to speed things up, meaning you can expect the Eagles to be on the clock twice around 8-8:30 p.m. ET. Eagles’ legend Mike Quick is set to announce the Round 2 pick for Philadelphia, and I’m assuming he’ll handle the first of the two seconds.Last 5 No. 53 picks:2018: M.J. The Eagles will have to wait until later in the fourth round to add another rookie to their roster, probably around 1:30 p.m. ET.The NFL announced several of the Day 3 picks will be made on location at sites chosen by teams around the country and world. He reportedly showed up for the first few days, and he then left.It makes sense — rookies are now forced into pre-determined contracts based on where they’re drafted, not by how much they produce. And Ngakoue’s 29.5 sacks over the past three seasons is tied for 10th in the league since then.Ngakoue is due to make only $2.025 million in 2019. Allen, however, is slated to make a little more than last year’s No. 7 overall selection (coincidentally, also named Josh Allen) made — $21 million over four years. That’s a pretty big disparity between one of the best pass rushers in the league vs. a highly touted rookie who hasn’t played an NFL down yet and I’d be a little reluctant to participate in voluntary workouts too. Blake Bortles and the Jaguars are expected to part ways this offseason, which has led to just about everybody and their mother predicting that the Jaguars will acquire Nick Foles through either free agency or trade. Many people also expect the Jaguars to draft a quarterback early as well — regardless of if the team does land Foles or not. There’s no question that quarterback is the biggest priority for the Jaguars this offseason, but it’s far from the only concern on offense. The entire unit needs to be re-tooled and I would expect to see several new faces in the lineup come September. For starters, there are many question marks at offensive line. I would say shoring up this unit is the biggest priority outside of quarterback. The o-line was absolutely decimated by injuries in 2018, and by the end of the season four of the five starters were on injured reserve. Something like 12 different offensive linemen started at one point or another for the Jaguars this season. The right side of the line needs to be upgraded. A.J. Cann, who was the only healthy linemen left standing, has an expiring contract and it would be surprising to see the Jaguars re-sign due to his inconsistent play. Jermey Parnell has actually been pretty solid when healthy while in Duval, but he is aging and has struggled with injuries himself. Parnell has another year remaining on his deal Youth Cam Robinson Jerseys , but it would not be too surprising to see the Jags move on from him, as the team could create $6 million in cap space by cutting him. The other three starters, Brandon Linder, Cam Robinson and Andrew Norwell will all return following injury riddled 2018 seasons. It will be interesting to see if the Jaguars make a move at left tackle either through free agency or the draft and swing Robinson over to the right side, or if they feel confident in him and keep him on the left side. At wide receiver, it was clear that Jacksonville lacked any big-time playmakers outside of Dede Westbrook. Marqise Lee’s season ended before it even began; Keelan Cole regressed big time following a breakout rookie year and Donte Moncrief was a dud of a free agent signing. Rookie D.J. Chark didn’t get a ton of opportunities, as he dealt with some injuries and tried to adjust to the pro game. Wide out/punt returner Jaydon Mickens, who was placed on IR this past season, is an exclusive rights free agent. This means the Jaguars Cam Robinson Jerseys Stitched , if they so choose, can apply a tender to Mickens, thus giving Jacksonville exclusive negotiating rights with him. Rashad Greene and Moncrief are unrestricted free agents and I would be surprised to see either player back. I expect the Jaguars to look into veteran options in free agency, such as Golden Tate (if Philadelphia lets him walk), and also draft another rookie at the position. Tight end is another dire spot for the Jaguars. Much like wide receiver, Jacksonville has little to no playmakers or reliable targets in this group. Austin Seferian-Jenkins was signed last offseason, but spent the majority of his time on IR. He seems to think that his time is up in Jacksonville, though the team’s PR department disputed that. The club has until Feb. 19 to pick up his player option. Still, ASJ has either already spoken to team brass or sees the writing on the wall. So he is a likely cap casualty. Due to injuries to ASJ and Niles Paul Youth DJ Chark Jerseys , the Jaguars used a mixed of underwhelming options at tight end in 2018, which included names like James O’Shaughnessy, Blake Bell and Ben Koyack. O’Shaughnessy and Bell will hit the open market unrestricted free agents if the Jaguars don’t re-sign them. Koyack, a former seventh round draft choice, has spent his entire career with the Jags. He’s currently under contract for the 2020 season. This is a position group that I expect to see a lot of turnover in. I would expect the Jaguars to sign a veteran free agent or two, and look to draft another player on Day Two or Three of the NFL Draft. Running back is another potential problem area to examine. There has been plenty of speculation that the front office has grown tired of Leonard Fournette’s antics and lack of production, and is looking to trade him this offseason. More fuel is added to this fire due to the team voiding Fournette’s remaining guarantees in his contract. Personally, I would be very surprised to see them move on from Fournette. I think the team still sees a lot of potential in him if he can stay healthy and matures some more, but I also don’t think the Jaguars will get the value they want in a trade. But even if Fournette stays DJ Chark Jerseys Stitched , the Jaguars still have decisions to make in the backfield. T.J. Yeldon, who actually put in a pretty solid season filling in for Fournette, is an unrestricted free agent and he’s likely to want to hit the open market. The Jaguars traded away a fifth-round pick for a sparsely used Carlos Hyde this season. Hyde is under contract until 2021, but the team can cut him this offseason and save $4.7 million. Corey Grant was another victim to the IR list this past season. If the Jaguars don’t re-sign him, he becomes an unrestricted free agent. The Jaguars also signed Thomas Rawls in January and have David Williams on the roster. It’s going to be interesting to see how this position group shakes out. So, while quarterback is certainly the most pressing need, it’s far from the only major need for this team. It’s now up to new offensive coordinator John DeFilippo to rebuild and rejuvenate this unit. Time will tell if he’s able to successfully complete this task.

With all the talent that has changed places, it’s tough to boil down this offseason into just 20 slots. But we don’t mind. All of that talent changing places makes the possibilities for the regular season so much better. With strong offenses seemingly getting stronger, and defenses around the league doing the same thing, it’s becoming tougher to analyze which teams will be at the top after the first few weeks of the season. But these transactions provide some insight on the teams that likely will be the one’s everyone else is chasing. As always, some of these moves have transformed a team for the better – turning eventual failures into playoff bound teams. On the other hand, there are the teams that shelled out way too much money, or way too much talent, to acquire a new face for their franchise. There have also been a slew of signings that don’t seem to effect the outcome of the game for the better or worse … but we’re not talking about those transactions here. Here, we will focus on the top 20 transactions of the 2017 offseason. Here Jonah Williams Jersey , we look at the 10 absolute best moves, as well as the 10 absolute worst moves. INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers endured perhaps the most challenging year of his career — a season marked by a knee injury, inconsistent play and the firing of coach Mike McCarthy.Enter new coach Matt LaFleur, who would rather look ahead to building a relationship with Rodgers than look back to find out what went wrong.“He’s had a hell of a career up to this point,” LaFleur said at the NFL combine on Wednesday. “For me, it’s just about what can we do moving forward. I know this: When I talk to him, the guy wants to win. I think he’s at the point of his career where he’s starting to think about his legacy and what he’s going to leave. The only way you can do that is you better win a world championship. That’s the goal. We’re always going to strive for that.“I think that’s where he’s at in his career.”Rodgers won his lone Super Bowl in 2010. He won MVP awards in 2011 and 2014 and led the Packers to NFC championship games in 2014 and 2016. The second world championship, however, has remained elusive. At age 35, he’s on the back nine of his career. To get the Packers back to the playoffs – they’ve missed out the last two seasons after qualifying the previous eight years – let alone win a championship, LaFleur wants to take some of the pressure off Rodgers. That means a balanced offense http://www.bengalscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-drew-sample-jersey , particularly on first and second down. Green Bay operated the most pass-heavy attack in the league last season.LaFleur hopes to change the equation.“That’s philosophically what I believe is best to keep a defense off-balance, and it makes the quarterback’s job a heck of a lot easier, it takes hits off the quarterbacks,” LaFleur said. “I think all these guys kind of have a shelf life and there’s only ‘X’ amount of hits in a guy’s body. So how can we extend our quarterback’s career as long as possible? And I think the way you do that is make a commitment to the running game and kind of build your offense through your running game?”The Packers arrived at the combine armed with a pair of first-round picks — Nos. 12 and 30 — and six choices in the first four rounds. They have plenty of needs, with outside linebacker, safety and guard among them. Finding an immediate starter at tight end, however, might not be necessary, with general manager Brian Gutekunst indicating veteran Jimmy Graham will return for a second season.Graham finished second on the team with 55 receptions for 636 yards, though he scored only two touchdowns. He played the last quarter of the season with a broken thumb. The 32-year-old has a salary-cap charge of $12.667 million for 2019, which includes a $5 million roster bonus due next month. Gutekunst could release Graham and create about $5.333 million of cap space but that’s apparently not the plan.“Jimmy had a productive year for us last year Germaine Pratt Jersey ,” Gutekunst said. “Was really, really proud of him. He fought through a lot of things just to be out there. Guys who have played as long as he has don’t have to do that. His professionalism was on display each and every day, and I look forward to seeing what he can do for us this year.”The futures of free-agent receiver Randall Cobb, free-agent linebacker Clay Matthews and veteran linebacker Nick Perry have not been determined, Gutekunst said. They were three of the highest-paid players on the team last season but they all underperformed.“As we get all the information together as we approach the next few weeks, we’ll kind of have a better idea for all that,” Gutekunst said.

DAVIE http://www.panthersfootballauthentic.com/christian-miller-jersey-authentic , Fla. (AP) — with followers asking about his fresh-water fishing preference (open face reel), whether he could play receiver in the NFL (no way), and what kept him going when he missed all of last season (faith, family, friends and teammates). The social media audience was too polite to ask the question on the mind of every Miami Dolphins fan: When will Tannehill win a postseason game, or at least play in one?He doesn’t know the answer anyway. But with his first game in 21 months looming Sunday, the 30-year-old quarterback begins a season more optimistic than ever.“I feel more ready for this year than I’ve ever felt before,” Tannehill said Wednesday. “I feel more confident Jordan Scarlett Jersey , I would say, in the guys that we have and the path that we’re on. Are we there yet? No. But the standards that we have established in training camp and throughout the offseason, how guys come to work each day pushing to get better, that’s what excites me more than I’ve ever been.”Tannehill said he has never been so confident in his offensive line. He likes his team’s depth at the skill positions, including veteran newcomers Frank Gore, Danny Amendola and Albert Wilson, and rookie tight end Mike Gesicki. And he’s increasingly comfortable with the offensive system under third-year coach Adam Gase.“I feel more confident in fully playing the position than I ever have, and everything it entails,” Tannehill said. “It might not be every play you see it David Montgomery Jersey , but I know when certain situations come up, I’m going to be quicker to react and make the right decision and not have to think about it.”Teammates praise Tannehill’s mastery of the offense.“Seeing how prepared and comfortable he is, it’s contagious for the other guys,” Gesicki said. But can Tannehill win? His career record is 37-40. He became the Dolphins’ starter as a rookie in 2012, and their only playoff berth since then was in 2016, when he suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 14.Tannehill re-injured his left knee in training camp last year, wiping out his 2017 season. He says he’s now 100 percent, and looked it during the exhibition season.“He has taken hold of this offense, and he has made it his own http://www.bearsfootballauthentics.com/riley-ridley-jersey-authentic ,” Gase said. The Dolphins went 6-10 without Tannehill last year, and prognosticators say they’ll have a losing season with him. But doubters may forget how well Tannehill was playing when he first hurt his knee.In his final eight games of 2016 — his most recent games — he had a passer rating of 100.1, and the Dolphins went 7-1. While he says he’s a better quarterback now, Gase agrees.“I love working with him,” Gase said. “I love how he does everything from the time he gets in the building until the time he leaves. He really has shown me a lot, especially on the practice field, with how intense he is and how he treats every day like a game.”As the biggest star on a team under the radar, Tannehill has embraced a leadership role more than ever, and raised his profile off the field Shareef Miller Jersey , such as with the Twitter Q&A.“I’m just trying to engage a little bit more with fans and give them a little window into my life,” he said. That includes his wife, Lauren, and their 2-year-old son, Steel. One Twitter video Tannehill posted this week features Steel showing off his throwing arm by lobbing a rock a few feet in the backyard.“Obviously we have a little work to do,” dad says on the video.“It was actually a good throw,” he confessed with a laugh Wednesday. “Lauren is like, ‘He actually made a good throw. Why did you have to trash him like that?’ I’m like, ‘I guess for the price of comedy http://www.eaglesfootballauthentics.com/zach-brown-jersey-authentic , right?'”Tannehill laughed again. When it comes to grading the throwing arms in his family, things don’t get serious until Sunday. Wide receiver Joe Horn Jr. got a chance to make an impression on the Ravens at their rookie minicamp and he apparently made a positive one.The Ravens announced that they have signed Horn on Tuesday. They waived linebacker Ejuan Price in a corresponding move.Horn is the son of former Chiefs and Saints wideout Joe Horn and played at Northeast Mississippi Community College — where his father was and still is coaching — before moving on to Division II Missouri Western. He had modest stats at the school last season — 15 catches for 246 yards — but the Ravens saw enough to keep him around a little longer. The elder Horn had his own unlikely path to the NFL. After playing at Itawamba Community College, Horn spent two years out of football before sending tapes of workouts to teams in the U.S. and Canada. He landed in the CFL and then was drafted by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 1996 draft.

Laquon Treadwell anymore. He may have supplanted him.Robinson Chris Lindstrom Jersey , who signed with the Vikings on Sept. 17, has seen his snap totals rise in recent weeks, and was on the field for a season-high 70 percent of Minnesota’s offensive plays Sunday. That’s nearly double the workload of Laquon Treadwell, who was on the field for just 22 plays, a season low.The Vikings signed Robinson, a six-year veteran and former teammate of quarterback Kirk Cousins, after Treadwell struggled in a Week 2 tie with the Green Bay Packers.Treadwell was targeted just twice against the Patriots, finishing with two catches for 13 yards. Robinson was targeted nine times, but did little with his increased workload, finishing with five catches for 37 yards.Treadwell, currently in his third season, has just 31 catches for 279 yards through 12 games.Robinson has 26 catches for 187 yards through 10 games.Other notes from Sunday’s snap counts:— The Vikings played just five offensive linemen in their 24-10 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, the first time they’ve made it through a game using just five linemen since a loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 8.— Cornerback Xavier Rhodes, who was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury before Sunday’s game, played just 61 percent of the defensive snaps.— Cornerback Trae Waynes played just 26 percent of the defensive snaps before exiting with a concussion.— Those injuries led to an increased workload for rookie cornerback and former undrafted free agent Holton Hill, who played a season-high 76 percent of the defensive snaps.— Marcus Sherels also saw action at cornerback http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jahlani-tavai-jersey , playing 27 percent of the defensive snaps, his first appearance on defense since Week 5.OFFENSEPLAYERPlays (61)%O’Neill61100%Elflein61100%Reiff61100%Compton61100%Cousins61100%Thielen61100%Remmers61100%Rudolph6098%Cook4777%Diggs4777%A. (AP) — Hold the AARP jokes.Running back Frank Gore sees nothing funny about teaming up with LeSean McCoy in Buffalo to form the NFL’s oldest backfield. Instead, Gore sees no reason why the pair of 30-somethings can’t continue their lengthy run of dominance.“It doesn’t matter what age you are,” the 35-year-old Gore said Thursday after arriving at the Bills’ facility to sign a one-year, $2 million contract . “As long as you train and believe in your skill, anything can happen. You can get the job done. And that’s what me and ‘Shady’ are going to try to do this year.”The 30-year-old McCoy, who goes by the nickname Shady, referred to Gore’s addition as motivating. Not only are the two close friends and offseason workout partners, McCoy called Gore a role model.“There’s not a lot of guys in the league right now that can motivate me, especially at running back. But he’s the type of guy that can,” McCoy told The Associated Press in his first comments since Buffalo signed Gore.Though it was the Bills’ decision to make an offer to Gore to play for a 15th season, McCoy played a recruiting role.Once Gore was informed of the Bills’ interest, he contacted McCoy to make sure he was fine with sharing the load.“Shady’s a competitive guy. He didn’t really care,” Gore said. “He knows what type of mindset I’ve got, how much I love the game of football. And he said he would love to play with me Kyler Murray Jersey , and that I can help him out a whole lot.”McCoy laughed in saying Gore was actually talking about retiring when the two were together last weekend.“I said, ‘Frank, if you retire, I won’t have nobody in the NFL to chase or motivate me,'” he said. “So I said, ‘Why don’t you come play with us.’ “Gore is one of nine free agents the Bills added this past week, including return specialist Andre Roberts, who signed a two-year contract on Thursday. A majority of Buffalo’s attention was placed on upgrading a patchwork offense that finished 30th in the NFL in yards gained last season.Gore might not fill the biggest need on a team that invested heavily in signing receivers John Brown and Cole Beasley, and center Mitch Morse. For general manager Brandon Beane, what stands out about Gore is how he’s maintained his level of production and competitiveness.“You saw it today,” Beane said.“He walked down the hall with a Buffalo Bills helmet on his head. I mean, the guy’s serious,” he added. “When he talks to you, he sits on the edge of his chair. He starts dropping a few words that you might hear on the field. His intensity started ratcheting quick.”Since breaking into the NFL with San Francisco in 2005, Gore has topped 1,000 yards rushing nine times http://www.arizonacardinalsteamonline.com/byron-murphy-jersey , most recently with Indianapolis in 2016. And he’s coming off a season in which he had 722 yards rushing and 124 yards receiving and a touchdown in 14 games with Miami.Gore said he still has plenty to prove.“People feel that when you get to a certain age that you can’t. And I want to show them that it doesn’t matter,” he said.Aside from age, Gore and McCoy form what stands as the NFL’s most productive running back tandem.Gore is the NFL’s active leader with 14,748 yards rushing and fourth on the career list. McCoy, entering his 11th season, ranks third among active players with 10,606 yards rushing and ranks 25th overall.Often times, McCoy has praised Gore for his workout regimen and also as someone he aspires to one day catch on the career list.“Every time I tell myself I’ll play three more years and I’ll be done, I look at a guy like Frank, who keeps trucking along,” McCoy said. “So for myself, he’s great for me so I can monitor his game and try to get to where he’s at — the Hall of Fame.”It’s not lost on both players that McCoy is coming off the worst season of his career. He finished with a career-low 514 yards rushing with three touchdowns, and topped 100 yards rushing just once.Gore said the two will have the potential to push each other.“I know he’s very competitive. And I know he’s going to get back to where he’s been before because I’ve seen him train,” Gore said. “I know if I see him going hard, I’m going to have to try to come back and go hard as well. It’ll be a good thing.”Gore was impressed in meeting Buffalo’s new trio of hulking offensive linemen, including the 6-foot-6 Andy Isabella Jersey , 305-pound Morse, and 6-foot-8, 330-pound tackle Ty Nsekhe.Gore immediately got on the phone to McCoy to rave about the free-agent additions.McCoy’s mood brightened when he heard from Gore.“I’m being honest, talking to him, and him coming up and telling me the guys we got there, the linemen, I’m excited,” McCoy said. “I’m excited again, man. Ready to play some ball.”NOTES: The free-agent additions has the fan base excited. One Bills fan posted pictures of going to the airport to greet several players, including Morse, Beasley and Brown with an order of chicken wings. … Beane said free agent defensive end Ezekiel ‘Ziggy’ Ansah visited the Bills facility before leaving to meet with another team.

FOXBOROUGH http://www.packerscheapshoponline.com/cheap-authentic-jace-sternberger-jersey , Mass. (AP) — successor to Tom Brady in quarterback Jarrett Stidham of Auburn.Stidham, a two-year starter at Auburn after starting his collegiate career at Baylor, was selected Saturday in the fourth round with the 133rd overall pick. The pick was obtained in one of three trades the Patriots made over three days with the Los Angeles Rams, whom they defeated 13-3 in the Super Bowl.Brady will be 42 in August. The Patriots also selected Arkansas offensive guard Hjalte Froholdt, a native of Denmark, in the fourth round (118th overall). In the fifth round they took defensive tackle Byron Cowart of Maryland at the 159th pick and traded up with Philadelphia to take punter Jake Bailey of Stanford at No. 163. They recently signed incumbent punter Ryan Allen to a one-year contract. The Patriots, who made seven trades over the course of the draft Dexter Williams Jersey , finished it with the 252nd overall pick by taking cornerback Ken Webster of Mississippi. COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP)Melvin Ingram expects greatness from the Los Angeles Chargers defense.Ingram is so confident of it, he wants a chance to moonlight on offense. The Pro Bowl defensive end lobbied for a look at tight end after the team’s three-day mandatory minicamp concluded Thursday, offering another signal of how productive the Chargers expect to be in their second season under coordinator Gus Bradley.”It’s just getting in where I fit in,” said Ingram, who matched his career high with 10sacks last season. ”Fitting in and making some plays. The more you can do.”The Chargers’ defense expects to be able to do plenty. They have more familiarity with Bradley’s 4-3 defense, a potential star in rookie safety Derwin James Nick Bosa Jersey , and another option to rush the passer in emerging talent Isaac Rochell.Joey Bosa is not as boisterous as his counterpart at defensive end, but shares Ingram’s outlook the Chargers will be formidable after allowing 17 points per game last season, which ranked third in the NFL.”Hopefully a similar defense to what we had last year, with some of those sloppy mistakes and some of the run game stuff patched up and fixed,” Bosa said.”We were moving in the last direction last year. Obviously, here and there we let up some tough games in the run game. But I think with the addition of the rookies we have and after years of playing together, can’t tell the future but it’s looking like we are going to have a great defense.”James L.J. Collier Jersey , who was selected by the Chargers at No. 17 overall in the first round, was the standout among the newcomers this week. He intercepted Phillip Rivers on Wednesday and looked solid in his most extensive work so far, aside from a mixup on an assignment when the offense put a receiver in motion on the final day.Asked about where James looks best after playing both strong and free safety, coach Anthony Lynn joked, ”In a Charger uniform.”Said Ingram: ”That’s why we went and got him in the first round. He’s been everything as expected.”There were no such presumptions for Rochell, a seventh-round draft pick in 2017 coming out of Notre Dame. After losing weight and becoming more proficient in pass rush techniques, however http://www.seahawkscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-marquise-blair-jersey , he could give the Chargers another threat coming off the edge to complement the standout duo of Bosa and Ingram.”I’ve always liked Isaac,” Bosa said. ”I think he’s a great guy and I think he has the potential to be a great rush end, but the jump he made was kind of unexpected. Seeing him out here with his hands and just the way he is moving is pretty unbelievable.””He’s definitely going to be another piece to our rotation,” Ingram said. ”It’s not `if he can become,’ he’s definitely going to be a piece.”Rochell’s development might allow Ingram a chance to catch passes instead of getting sacks.Ingram, who memorably scored on a 68-yard touchdown run off a fake punt in college at South Carolina, spent time after practice working against cornerback Tony Brown.Ingram even told Rivers that a connection between the quarterback and converted defender could be more productive than the record-setting rapport he shared with tight end Antonio Gates. When it comes to evaluating the Chargers’ defense or his own skills D.K. Metcalf Jersey , Ingram is not lacking for swagger.”I’m always confident,” Ingram said. ”Ain’t nothing changed.”NOTES: Rivers and defensive tackle Brandon Mebane did not practice Thursday, as Lynn gave any player with at least 10 years experience the day off. Lynn extended the policy to excuse offensive tackle Russell Okung, who will be entering his ninth season this fall.—

With him Kyler Murray Jersey , they failed to make it to the playoffs. But the organization still believes in its franchise quarterback, who is under contract to the franchise for two more years.“I’ve never seen a guy work at it as hard as he does,” G.M. Rick Spielman said at his pre-draft press conference on Tuesday, via Chris Tomasson of the . “He was the first one in the building [for offseason workouts]. “He is nonstop all afternoon into that film room. . . . There is no one as professional as Kirk Cousins is in the way he approaches this job.”That’s great, but in a results-driven business, the results simply weren’t there. And while the inability of the offensive line to give him time to throw and the failure of former offensive coordinator John DeFillippo to complement Cousins’ passing skills with a running game can be blamed for the team’s struggles when it comes to scoring points, Cousins and his $84 million contract make him the obvious and easy target for criticism. This year http://www.cardinalsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-byron-murphy-jersey , the Vikings believe that their offense will perform more efficiently. Regardless, the challenge will fall to Cousins to make big plays in key moments, especially when performing under bright lights. The Vikings will appear in prime time on five occasions in 2019 (unless they’re flexed out of a Week 16 Sunday night game at the Chargers), and if the Vikings will have a chance to appear in significant games come January, they’ll need to win more of their significant games from September through December. If they don’t, 2020 could end up being a lame-duck season for a quarterback who supersized contract comes with outsized expectations. So while it’s good that he’s working hard now, that hard work needs to translate to enough victories to deliver a postseason berth Andy Isabella Jersey , or the verdict will be that he’s guilty of not living up to the high bar that comes with a $28 million per year deal.

CHICAGO — The Cincinnati Reds have given the Chicago Cubs fits all season. But just when Reds appeared on the verge of winning their sixth straight game against the reigning National League Central champions, the Cubs turned to a familiar ally.

The comeback.

The Cubs twice rallied from five runs down on Saturday to pull out an 8-7 victory. They will head into Sunday’s matinee at Wrigley Field with a chance to capture the series. Having staff ace Jon Lester on the mound certainly won’t hurt.

Lester will take his 11-2 record and 2.25 ERA into the start a day after the Cubs produced four eighth-inning runs for their dramatic win.The Cubs’ last eight wins all have come after they fell behind early.

“I love the fight,” Cubs manager Joe Maddon told reporters after the team’s 50th win of the season. “Both sides wanted to win (and) we got it in the end.

“We’ve been in this situation all week.”

Added Cubs second baseman Javier Baez, who homered in the seventh inning before the Cubs mounted their latest comeback: “We never quit.”

The rally stunned the Reds, who appeared in line for their sixth win in their last seven games and their 15th in the past 19. Instead, Lester will take the mound in search of his eighth straight victory.

Lester was named NL Pitcher of the Month in June and is tied for the league lead in victories. Lester, who has won seven straight starts dating to May 23 Brian Burns Jersey , will look to keep rolling against the Reds, against whom he is 6-1 in 14 starts.

In Lester’s last start — an 11-10 victory over the Minnesota Twins — he added an extra bonus — a solo home run. But Lester, who has struggled traditionally from the plate, won’t get too wrapped up in the excitement.

“If I get hits, I get hits,” Lester told reporters after his last outing on July 1. “The home run is awesome, it’s cool http://www.panthersfootballauthentic.com/greg-little-jersey-authentic , especially at home. But at the end of the day, I know I’m a pitcher and I’m not a hitter.”

The Cubs, who are playing without third baseman Kris Bryant — whom Maddon said will begin a minor league assignment soon — may be without right fielder Jason Heyward. He left Saturday’s loss in the third inning after fouling a ball off his groin.

The Reds enter Sunday’s series finale looking for their sixth straight series. But after Cincinnati touched up Cubs starter Tyler Chatwood for seven runs only to see Jared Hughes surrender a three-run lead, the Reds will attempt to regain their winning ways after Saturday’s shocker.

Cincinnati’s bullpen had, until Saturday, been able to protect late leads, which made Saturday’s loss so unfathomable. It marked only the third time this season the Reds lost after leading heading into the eighth inning.

“We’ve come back on a few clubs like that Will Grier Jersey ,” Reds interim manager Jim Riggleman told reporters, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. “Today, (the Cubs) did it to us.”

Luis Castillo (5-8, 5.53) will start Sunday for the Reds and will attempt to bounce back from a disappointing June. He finished the month 1-3 and allowed at least three earned runs in each of his five outings. Castillo is 1-0 with a 2.16 ERA in three career starts against the Cubs.

Vance Joseph's decision to tuck his red challenge flag back into his pants pocket loomed large until the Denver Broncos pulled off a last-second win over the Los Angeles Chargers.Still http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-hunter-henry-jersey , the failed 2-point conversion early in the fourth quarter of Denver's 23-22 last-second win highlighted a loophole in the NFL rule book that Denver's coach said Monday he'd like to see closed.Line judge Jeff Seeman ruled Case Keenum came up short on a 2-point draw following Phillip Lindsay's touchdown run that put Denver ahead 20-19 with 12 minutes left, and Joseph said one of the officials told the quarterback his team should challenge the call because it was so close.Replays appeared to show the nose of the football crossing the goal line just before any part of Keenum's perpendicular body hit the ground. While CBS rules analyst Gene Steratore, a former NFL referee, said during the broadcast that he expected the league would have reversed the on-field ruling if the Broncos had challenged, Joseph said his staff upstairs in the press box wasn't so sure."So, in my opinion it was more important for me to keep that timeout there without having clear evidence Womens Joe Barksdale Jersey ," Joseph said.
