Deshea Townsend Dan Hampton Jersey , hired Jan. 18, now will carry the title of secondary coach. Sean Desai and Bill Shuey earned promotions from defensive quality control coaches to safeties coach and defensive pass analyst/assistant linebackers coach, respectively.Townsend spent 2018 as an assistant defensive backs coach for the Giants. He previously coached with the Titans (secondary, 2016-17), Mississippi State (cornerbacks, 2013-15) and Cardinals (assistant defensive backs coach, 2011-12). Desai, who has more than a decade coaching, enters his seventh season with the Bears in 2019 after serving in a quality control role the past six years. As a quality control assistant, Desai worked with the Bears鈥?defensive backs and linebackers while also assisting the special teams coaches. Shuey enters his second season with the Bears. He spent six seasons at Widener (2014-17) and West Chester (2012-13) Universities and 10 seasons with the Eagles, including three as the team鈥檚 linebackers coach. It’s kind of absurd that Kenn hasn’t been welcomed into Canton with open arms."Mike Kenn is a Falcons legend. He was dominant on the field, and he worked tirelessly for the good of his fellow players off of it. But a spot in the Hall of Fame has eluded him despite the fact that he clearly deserves to be in. Kenn’s accomplishments on the field speak for themselves. He spent his entire career with the Falcons after being drafted by Atlanta with the No. 13 pick in the 1978 draft out of Michigan. He started every one of the 251 games he played in over his career. He was a five-time Pro Bowler, back when it was less of a name recognition thing and more of a true acknowledgment of a player’s impact. He was named a first-team All Pro three times http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-brian-urlacher-jersey , and landed on the second team twice. But the obstacles for offensive linemen when it comes to Hall consideration are myriad. The offensive line is not a sexy position group. They’re not making breathtaking plays like Julio Jones, who’s out there on a daily basis just crushing opponents’ spirit with circus catches no human should be able to make. We all know on an intellectual level that a team cannot have a successful offense unless the big uglies are effective at keeping the passer upright and moving some bodies for the run game. But that doesn’t translate into a nice and tidy stat sheet to compare against other linemen. Another factor is that offensive lines, more than any other position group, function as sums of their parts. Cohesion and chemistry between all five players is fundamental to success. These factors limit opportunities for one guy to stand out. Factor in recency bias and the fact that Kenn played so long ago that his impact will have faded from voters’ memories, and it’s a tall task to secure his legacy in the Hall. My very first real interview as a fledgling Falcons beat writer for The Falcoholic was with Kenn. We met at an Outback Steakhouse, and I do laugh thinking about it now, because I was nervous as hell. But his story is so fascinating, and the impact he had on the field for Atlanta so great, that I came away from it with even more respect for Kenn. I was also left even more confused that his legacy remains unrecognized by the Pro Football Hall of Fame. That’s in part because Kenn was much more than just a player. He served as an NFLPA rep — first as an alternate rep, then a player rep, and he weathered the player strikes as an executive committee member. He became the president at a time when the NFLPA decided — at Kenn’s suggestion — that they needed to decertify as a union to be able to sue the NFL in antitrust court. At the time, NFL players weren’t even allowed by the league to have access to their own medical records. Thanks in part to Kenn’s leadership, that changed. What mattered to him about his work with the NFLPA was standing up for other players. “Met a lot of great guys--a lot of very compassionate guys Womens Leonard Floyd Jersey , and passionate guys, because they cared. They not only wanted to protect themselves, but they wanted to protect their teammates,” Kenn said. “Basically our job was to represent players for wages, hours and working conditions. Simple union representation. Wages, hours and working conditions.”Kenn shared with me why the idea of being enshrined in Canton matters to him. “Well, it’s, for the individual, it’s the ultimate recognition of an effort well played,” Kenn said. “You can’t get a higher peer recognition than being one of the select few to get into the Hall of Fame. That’s what it would mean to me personally, but there are a lot of friends and relatives who have lived vicariously through my career. “I come from a middle-class, blue collar socioeconomic environment, and all my friends from grade school and high school grew up in a similar manner Eric Kush Jersey , and they were always very proud to say that, “That’s my buddy, Mike Kenn.” So I would get great satisfaction out of it. I know that my family would. But I also know a lot of my friends would, too, so it would be very gratifying to them. So that’s meaningful to me.”It would be meaningful to Falcons fans, too, to see a player who was such a steady force on the field and one who fought so hard for the best interests of players off of it be recognized by the Hall for his accomplishments. 2019 will be the last year of Kenn’s modern era Hall of Fame eligibility, and I hope the voters do the right thing. Mike Kenn deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, and it’s a travesty that he isn’t.

In the National Football League Shareef Miller Jersey , defensive coordinators spend countless hours each week trying to prepare their teams for their next opponent's offense. adjust personnel packages, and draw up their list of stunts, coverages, and blitzes that they hope will confuse opposing offenses and/or put the defense in a position to make the play. But if the defenders can't tackle the ball carrier, all of this preparation is for naught. That's why NFL players who are hard to tackle are so valuable to their teams. Because even when a defense does everything right Germaine Pratt Jersey , an offensive play can still succeed if a player can avoid or run over a tackler (or two or three). And this trait is one that is very difficult to teach. Given that contact practices are being limited throughout all levels of football, it becomes that much harder for a player to get the repetitions they need to develop a consistent ability to break tackles or juke defenders. Therefore, a running back, receiver, kick returner, or quarterback who does possess the ability to cause "unsuccessful" tackles is worth his weight in gold.Of course http://www.bengalsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-ryan-finley-jersey , NFL fans absolutely love to see players who are difficult to bring down. Watching a ball carrier dodge, duck under, or power through tackles is exciting and awe-inspiring. That's why some of the greats are so popular even today - whether it's tanks like Earl Campbell and Bronco Nagurski or magicians like Emmett Smith or Barry Sanders. With people who can shrug off tacklers, the play is never over until the referee's whistle sounds. So who are the players in the NFL today who cause dread in the hearts of defensive coaches? Here are 25 men who are the hardest to bring to the ground in today's NFL. MIAMI (AP) — Former Colts and Lions coach Jim Caldwell has been hired by new Dolphins coach Brian Flores as assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach.Caldwell was among 16 members of Flores’ staff announced Friday. The group includes new offensive coordinator Chad O’Shea and defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, both former Patriots assistants.Flores joined the Patriots in 2004 and was the defensive play-caller for this season’s Super Bowl championship team. He became the Dolphins’ coach on Monday. Also joining Flores’ staff are Danny Crossman as special teams coordinator, Josh Boyer as defensive pass game coordinator and cornerbacks coach Renell Wren Jersey , Karl Dorrell as receivers coach, Pat Flaherty as offensive line coach, George Godsey as tight ends coach, Marion Hobby as defensive line coach, Rob Leonard as linebackers coach, Tony Oden as safeties coach http://www.bengalsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-michael-jordan-jersey , Jerry Schuplinski as assistant quarterbacks coach and Eric Studesville as running backs coach.O’Shea, Boyer and Schuplinski worked for the Patriots this past season.Flores hired three quality control coaches — Josh Grizzard, Matt Lombardi and Tiquan Underwood. Oden, Studesville and Grizzard were retained from Adam Gase’s 2018 Miami staff.Caldwell has 17 years of NFL coaching experience. In his seven seasons as head coach of the Colts (2009-11) and Lions (2014-17), he led teams to four playoff berths.Caldwell also won two Super Bowls as an assistant coach with the Colts and Ravens.“Jim is an incredible human being, a man of faith and a great football coach Greedy Williams Jersey ,” Flores said in a statement. “His experience as a head coach will be invaluable for me. Jim is a great teacher, highly organized and somebody that I have a lot of respect for.”

Every year Adrian Phillips Jerseys Stitched , as the clock ticks away and the NFL Draft gets closer and closer, fans and pundits alike try to find the themes, hints, and clues that could lead to predicting a team’s motives once..."Draft gets closer and closer, fans and pundits alike try to find the themes, hints, and clues that could lead to predicting a team’s motives once they’re on the clock in late April. Many look to athletic thresholds and measurments. This is one of the simpler ways to draw some conclusions.“Is this guy at least this tall?”“Does he weigh at least X pounds?”It’s sometimes fun and people like numbers. No surprise on the popularity of this one. Some look at the number of players drafted at certain positions and make statements like, “This general manager doesn’t value position X as much as position Y and that’s why they’re more likely to draft one over the other.”This idea makes some sense, as well. After all, heading into last year’s draft, it was well-known that Tom Telesco hasn’t valued the safety position all that much and, even though it was a significant team need Youth Denzel Perryman Jerseys , the plan wasn’t to draft one in the first....until Derwin James fell all the way to 17.In the last two years, I’ve been lucky enough to travel to Mobile, Alabama to take in the Reese’s Senior Bowl with the rest of the football world. Both trips have been enlightening while maintaining a level of top-tier talent that only the top all-star showcase could gather. After last year’s draft class, I noticed that four of the seven players drafted had participated in the Senior Bowl. Those players were LB Uchenna Nwosu (2nd), DT Justin Jones (3rd), LB Kyzir White (4th), and C Scott Quessenberry (5th).That made me check out the roster from the prior year and see if they had done something similar in Anthony Lynn’s first year as head coach. It was more of the same. The Chargers had drafted another four players who participated in that year’s showcase, including picking up another as an undrafted free agent. They were OG Dan Feeney (3rd), S Rayshawn Jenkins (4th), CB Desmond King (5th), DE Isaac Rochell (7th), and WR Artavis Scott (UDFA).It’s got to be more of a coincidence, right? Two years is a small sample size Denzel Perryman Jerseys Stitched , I know, but let’s take a look at the numbers in the previous four years of Telesco’s tenure prior to the hiring of Lynn in January of 2017.In 2013, Telesco’s first year at the helm, the Chargers drafted Alabama offensive tackle DJ Fluker in the first round of the draft. He was the only selection that played in that year’s Senior Bowl.In 2014 and ‘15, the team only selected one participant each year with those two being OLB Jeremiah Attaochu (2nd) and LB Denzel Perryman (2nd), respectively. Then, in 2016, they didn’t select anyone from the annual showcase. So taking a step back, we can see there was a potential shift in philosophy between 2016 and ‘17. One major change that obviously happened around the same time was the hire of Lynn.So yeah, there might be something to this crack-pot theory. It’s not a big surprise to see a team covet the players invited to such a prestigious event. After all, the selection committee for the event are good at their jobs and put in a ton of work to find the right players. Traits such as character, leadership, and experience are big when it comes to receiving an invitation. When it comes to Lynn Youth Hunter Henry Jerseys , you just know those types of players get his juices flowing. Now that we’ve gone over all of that, we can take this mindset and direct it towards the most recent group of prospects to have played in Mobile. With positions of need still being the offensive tackle, defensive tackle, linebacker and safety (maybe a WR3?), we can start to narrow in on some potential targets in this year’s draft class. Here are a handful of players at each position that I think should be on everyone’s radar come April:Offensive TackleAndre Dillard - Washington State (Might go before #28)Kaleb McGary - WashingtonTytus Howard - Alabama StateChuma Edoga - USCDalton Risner - Kansas State (Might go before #28)Defensive TackleKhalen Saunders - Western IllinoisDaylon Mack - Texas A&MRenell Wren - Arizona StateLinebackerTe’Von Coney - Notre DameGermaine Pratt - North Carolina StateBobby Okereke - StanfordTerrill Hanks - New Mexico StateSafetyNasir Adderley - DelawareJuan Thornhill - VirginiaMarvell Tell - USCMike Edwards - KentuckyDarnell Savage - MarylandMarquise Blair - Utah COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) — Anthony Lynn often said that the Los Angeles Chargers winning six of their final seven games in 2017 helped serve as a springboard to this season’s success, which resulted in the team’s first postseason berth in five years.Lynn is hoping Sunday’s 41-28 loss to New England in the AFC divisional round can serve the same purpose for next season’s group.“We had a good year … won our first playoff game in a long time but after that butt kicking yesterday no one will be complacent. That’s about the only positive I can take from it,” Lynn said.Los Angeles tied for the best regular-season record in the AFC at 12-4, but Kansas City won the AFC West by virtue of a better record in division play. While Kansas City got home field throughout the playoffs and a first-round bye, the Chargers had to head east for two straight weeks. They defeated Baltimore 23-17 in the wild-card round but found themselves down 35-3 at halftime to the Patriots. The Chargers have posted a winning record in Lynn’s first two seasons. They lost their first four games in 2017 but stormed back to finish 9-7. After starting 1-2 this season — which included losses to the Chiefs and Rams — Los Angeles won 10 of 11, which included second-half rallies on the road against Pittsburgh and Kansas City. The loss Sunday to the Patriots marked the first time all season the Chargers lost a road game outside of Los Angeles. Whether they can take another step next season will be one of many questions going into the offseason.“I don’t think we are that far off,” quarterback Philip Rivers said. “I think the biggest thing to acknowledge is how hard it is to get back to where we were yesterday. That was a heck of a task to get where we were. As long as we acknowledge that and don’t think it will just happen again will help us.”Here are some things to watch as the Chargers begin their offseason:ONE MORE GAME: Lynn and his staff still have one more game to coach this season. They were the highest-seeded AFC team knocked out of the divisional round, which means they will be the coaching staff for the Pro Bowl in Orlando on Jan. 27. Lynn said the coaches will take a couple days off before getting ready to head to Florida.“It’s pretty hard to be excited about anything right now. We’d rather be getting ready for next week’s opponent but I’m sure it will be fun Hunter Henry Jerseys Stitched ,” Lynn said. The Chargers had a league-high seven players elected to the Pro Bowl. Safety Adrian Phillips might not make the trip after suffering an arm injury against New England.RIVERS BEYOND 2019: Rivers has one more season remaining on his contract. There hasn’t been any discussion between the two sides, but with the Chargers moving into the new Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park in 2020, trying to get their franchise quarterback locked up with an extension could be easier to accomplish before training camp starts in late July.Rivers had one of the best seasons of his 15-year career. His 105.5 passer rating equaled his career best from 2008 and ’13 and his 8.5 yards per attempt average was his best since 2010. His 68.3 percent completion rate also was the second best of his career.RETAIN PHILLIPS: Phillips will be an unrestricted free agent and could be one of the top players to hit the market. He was an All-Pro selection after leading the league with 19 special teams tackles. He also started seven games as the third safety and posted 77 tackles, including five tackles for loss. In the playoff win against Baltimore, he became the first player in nearly two years to have an interception and fumble recovery in a postseason game.GATES FUTURE: Tight end Antonio Gates was re-signed in September following an offseason injury to Hunter Henry. With Henry recovered and Virgil Green serving as a blocking tight end, Gates might be saying goodbye for the second straight season.Gates, who caught a touchdown against the Patriots, told reporters after the game he would love to play for a 17th season. He had 28 receptions for 333 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season while splitting time with Green.POSITION OF NEED: Linebacker. Denzel Perryman and Kyle Emanuel, who were both drafted in 2015, will be free agents in a position group that is lacking in depth and experience.

It’s been a busy offseason for the Philadelphia Eagles but there’s still one major thing remaining on their checklist: signing Carson Wentz to a long-term contract extension. Jeffrey Lurie Womens Miles Sanders Jersey , Howie Roseman, and Doug Pederson have all publicly committed to Wentz as the team’s franchise quarterback. It really seems like only a matter of time until a deal is done. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, that deal could be coming before September arrives. Check out what he recently had to say on the 97.5 The Fanatic’s Morning Show with Marc Farzetta, Tra Thomas, and Bob Cooney:Some have said the Eagles should wait to sign Wentz because he needs to prove he can stay healthy. But it’s clear that the team is already committed to Wentz regardless of what happens in 2019. It’s not like they’re just going to move on from him if he gets hurt again. With that in mind, the Eagles should be motivated to get a Wentz extension done as soon as possible. The price is only going to rise the longer they wait. Just look at the way quarterback contracts have grown over time:Of course, Wentz isn’t dumb. He’s not going to be in a rush to sign a long-term deal right now when his value isn’t as high as it could be. Wentz could easily decide his best option is to bet on himself, have a killer 2019 season, and then collect major cash during the 2020 season. The Eagles shouldn’t let it get to that point, though. They need to find a way to give Wentz enough money that he’s convinced to accept instead of waiting. Wentz has some motivation to accept a contract offer now because it provides instant security to a player who’s had injury issues. According to Over The Cap, the Eagles currently have just under $22 million in cap space. They have plenty of funds to sign Wentz. It’s just a matter of getting it done. (I’m still guessing that the Wentz extension gets done at some point between June 16 and June 30 because I’ll be traveling during that span and it’ll be inconvenient for me. The Eagles signed Fletcher Cox to his big contract in a similar time period back in 2016 so there’s some precedent for this kind of post-minicamp activity.) It’s like a treasure hunt: there’s always a few valuable pieces to be found, and predicting just who sticks is a hopeful exercise Miles Sanders Philadelphia Eagles Jerseys , even if it’s just a step above a guessing game. The Eagles got some decent contributions out of their UDFA class last year, as Josh Adams, Chandon Sullivan, and Bruce Hector all saw playing time, while Joe Ostman and Asantay Brown proved practice squad heroes. Taking a gander at this year’s squad, we can circle more than a few names with a decent shot at an NFL role — no matter how small — in 2019.Potential 53-man roster guysRyan Bates, OL, Penn StateT.J. Edwards, the Wisconsin linebacker, was listed by many as the biggest name the Eagles signed in free agency — but for my money, Bates is the likeliest to stick. A great athlete and natural mover in space, Bates can do everything the Eagles ask from their guards and centers in the run game.Does he have enough of a pass-protection anchor to stick in the league? A year of NFL strength coaching may help in that regards.I don’t think Bates is a player you’ll be able to sneak onto your practice squad, given the thirst for offensive line talent in the league Philadelphia Eagles Jerseys Stitched , but he did go undrafted. Either way, expect the college tackle to train as a potential C backup with OG versatility as the Eagles prepare for life after Kelce.T.J. Edwards, LB, WisconsinEdwards is a between-the-tackles thumper, which is why he went undrafted — those players are a dime a dozen, especially in a changing NFL. Do the Eagles currently have that player on the roster? I’d argue Paul Worrilow is likely the player for that role on their roster, but if he hasn’t fully recovered from his injury last offseason, Edwards could beat him outright.Edwards is a smart player and steady tackler, and you appreciate that in your depth guys. I’m not sure his athleticism is enough that he can be anything more than a backup MIKE that necessitates a change in your LB deployment — think Dannell Ellerbe from a couple seasons ago. Special teams value would be huge here.Iosua Opeta, iOL, Weber StateA defensive line convert with the athleticism to match his role, Opeta first gained people’s attention when he threw up 39 reps on the bench at the Combine, to go with a 5.02s 40-yard dash Miles Sanders Jersey 2019 , 33” vertical, and 9’4 broad jump (all 90+ percentile scores). Opeta’s raw as sushi from a tape perspective, but what he brings in terms of ability in space is enough to get teams like Philadelphia excited.Opeta’s shot at the 53-man is super narrow, but look at it much like Jordan Mailata last season: if they think he’s too promising to expose to waivers, they’ll protect him by keeping him on the team. Practice Squad CandidatesJamalcolm Liggins, CB, Dickinson StateHaven’t seen any film on Liggins, but the NAIA product was the subject of this SI article because of the attention he was receiving for his unlikely rise to NFL interest. Coming from such a weak level of competition and behind a thick CB room, Liggins is likely a guy you sit and develop for his physical tools.Nate Herbig, iOL, StanfordSpeaking of physical tools, Nate “Big Island” Herbig is an absolute mammoth of a human being at 335 pounds, but his athletic testing disappointed and his tape tailed off after a promising freshman season for the Cardinal. Given his size Black Miles Sanders Jersey , he may be a tackle convert and developmental piece accordingly.Delvon Randall, S, TempleWeird career arc for Randall, who had a ton of hype coming into the season off of a 80 tackle, 4 INT season with the Owls — and he improved his numbers in 2018, yet his hype tailed off as his athletic limitations were tested in coverage. Randall’s production is tough to argue with, however, and he’s by all reports a hard worker and high-character leader, and that’s a great guy to have on the practice team.Likely Camp BodiesUAB DT Anthony RushPenn State WR DeAndre ThompkinsWyoming RB Nico Evans (I kinda rock with him)Rutgers DT Kevin WilkinsStanford LB Joey AlfieriUSC DB Ajene Harris (I kinda rock with him)UC Davis LB Mason MoeArkansas iOL Johnny GibsonIowa iOL Keegan Render

EDTShareTweetShareShare5 Jacksonville Jaguars Draft questions with analyst Brett Kollmann Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY SportsNow that the major wave of free agency has passed, we can get a better idea of where the Jacksonville Jaguars may want to go in the NFL Draft. To help us better understand certain prospects who may be good fits for the Jags Corey Grant Jerseys 2019 , I reached out to Brett Kollmann — NFL Draft and film analyst for SB Nation’s Battle Red Blog and trusted YouTube personality. Check out our conversation below: 1. Who are some offensive prospects you think are good fits for the Jaguars? Brett: I feel like Jawaan Taylor is one of the best case scenarios for the Jags in the first round. He fits a clear need on the roster at right tackle, and I think there’s a relatively low chance of him outright busting (which obviously Jacksonville can ill-afford right now as they reload once again). (Wide receiver) DK Metcalf would be another guy that I think the Jags will take a hard look at, if Taylor happens to fly off the board earlier than I expect. I know he carries a little risk because of the perception that he’s a workout warrior, but I really do believe that his skillset is very comparable to Calvin Johnson and Josh Gordon in their primes. If he is used correctly, he could be a monster on those trademark play-action bombs from (Nick) Foles.Editor’s note: Check out Brett’s just-released in-depth film breakdown of Metcalf. This is fantastic. 2. Who are some defensive prospects you think are good fits for the Jaguars? Brett: It sure would be nice if (defensive tackle) Quinnen Williams fell to seventh overall, but that’s most likely not going to happen. I wouldn’t hate it if the Jags traded up a few spots to secure him if the opportunity presented itself because he’s the kind of special talent that is worth picking, regardless of team needs or current personnel on the roster...well actually, I WOULD hate it because I’m a Texans fan...but you get the idea. If Williams is unattainable, I think trading down a few spots and nabbing (cornerback) Byron Murphy is the way to go. That would give the team some cap flexibility with A.J. Bouye’s deal next year if they need it since he’s got no guaranteed money left Black Lerentee McCray Jerseys , while also giving them a really great trio of corners in the short term to try to make another run at the division (I would be kicking Bouye into the slot against 11 personnel in this scenario). 3. The Jaguars pick at No. 7 overall. Which players do you think will be in play for the Jaguars to pull the trigger on, and who is a “must-draft” if still on the board? Brett: Assuming the pipe dreams like Quinnen and (Nick) Bosa are no longer there, Taylor is probably the only “must-draft” guy for the Jags in my opinion. Foles isn’t a very mobile quarterback and he has been straight up bad under pressure at times in his career, but he was much, much better in Philly than with the Rams because the Eagles actually committed to giving him protection. They knew that he wasn’t the kind of QB that could survive and thrive while under constant duress, so they did whatever they could to avoid him being in that situation. Jacksonville needs to take a cue from them and do the same.Protection first. Weapons second. That’s how I would build the team.4. Tight end is a huge position of need for the Jaguars, but many people believe No. 7 overall is way too early to take a tight end, and see this as a deep draft class at the position. Do you think players such as Iowa’s T.J. Hockenson and Noah Fant are worth taking so early, or do you think the Jags should look at another position in the first round and can land a solid tight end in later rounds?Brett: While getting a freakishly athletic and/or versatile tight end in the first round would be nice Chris Conley Jersey , it really wouldn’t do anything to address any of the Jags’ actual problems right now. Tight end is the kind of position you take really early in the draft if you are putting icing on the cake, but Jacksonville hasn’t even baked the damn thing yet. (General manager) Dave Caldwell needs to take care of his trenches on both sides and then go from there. There will still be some great tight ends waiting for him in the middle rounds (cough cough, Irv Smith, cough cough).5. Who are some mid or late round gems you think we should be keeping an eye on? Players you expect to be drafted later who can go on to have successful NFL careers. Brett: The tight end I just mentioned, Irv Smith, has a lot of Delanie Walker to him...and I love me some Delanie Walker. I also think Sheldrick Redwine (out of Miami, FL.) would be a really great mid-round pick to slot in at free safety and replace (Tashaun) Gipson from day one (or probably even exceed him, considering how damn athletic Redwine is). Georgia’s Lamont Gaillard could probably be a really nice swing guard or backup center for (Brandon) Linder as well in this system. Considering how much the Jags’ OL depth was tested last year, investing in improving that would probably be a wise move. Bonus: The Jaguars are giving Nick Foles a huge contract Lerentee McCray Jerseys 2019 , which almost certainly means Jacksonville won’t be drafting a quarterback at No. 7 overall. But just out of curiosity, which quarterback do you think should be drafted first and why?Brett: (Kyler) Murray will likely be the first quarterback taken because I believe the Cardinals happen to like him more, but if it were up to ME as a GM I think I would take (Dwayne) Haskins. He reminds me a lot of Jared Goff, and I mean that in a very positive way. Goff ain’t perfect (obviously), but there’s a lot of other teams out there that would kill to have him throwing pinpoint accurate shots down the sideline to their receivers. Within a few years, I think we will all see Haskins in the same light. The kid can sling it. Thank you to Brett for providing his insights into potential draft fits for the Jaguars. We decided a vote would be good, but I had to turn to Jeff, our analytics man, to concoct a weighted system that would fairly balance out our personal bias and allow for a more complete list.Creating a list of the Top 100 players in Chicago Bears history is at best an imperfect science. The top of any list will feature the game’s best, players that transformed the game or defined their position, playing at peak levels for long periods of time. After that wave of transcendence, voters may go in different directions Marcus Cooper Jersey , balancing shorter careers with high peaks against long and solid careers with no discernible peaks. Post season honors, team success or lack thereof, games and years played, championships won, and statistical accumulation are just some of the factors that can weigh into an evaluation. Only one grading principle was agreed upon at the start – players should be compared to how they performed in their era against other players from their era. In other words, a more modern player may be athletically superior to a historic player but he should only be judged at his level of competition.Development of the list was an iterative process involving ten rounds of voting. A list of eligible players was collected and added to a player pool from a variety of sources. In the first round, the WCG contributors ranked the top 15 players in the history of the Chicago Bears using their own individual evaluation metrics. The votes were scored (1st place vote = 15 points, 15th place vote = 1 point) and added together to create a raw score. A weighted average was calculated by taking the total score multiplied by the number of ballots the player appeared on, divided by the number of possible ballots. This weighted score was used in situations to help “break ties” where scores were approximately equal. The top ten vote-getters from the first round were recorded in their respective ranks and cleared from the player pool. The voters repeated this process for a total of 10 rounds until a top 100 list was created. After allowing the dust to settle on the list, the group deliberated on any glaring issues including whether a player was ranked too high or too low or whether or not a snubbed player deserved inclusion. After reaching consensus, mostly minor alterations were made and the list was finalized. An important note - while it was not a written rule, there were enough contributors that considered the impact of players with fewer than 3 years of service to not be eligible for this list. That means current players like Eddie Jackson and Khalil Mack will not be on the list despite the likelihood of their inclusion in a list like this down the road.We also agreed that a players’ contributions mattered to their Bears playing career only. That means that there could be no inserting of “what ifs” for players such as Greg Olsen, Thomas Jones and Orlando Pace. Each a great player http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-kyle-fuller-jersey , but their contributions in Chicago were short and in the case the former two, great, while the latter was great elsewhere first but disappointing here. That also means that the coaching career of Mike Ditka was not to be weighed and George Halas’ importance as owner, coach and founder were also set aside in favor of only his playing days. This means that ours differs from the Bears’ own list, which includes both Mack and Jackson and could very well have Ditka and Halas higher than we do (that’s a teaser, not a spoiler). Other than that, there will be some similarities and differences. It’s not meant to be gospel. This is meant to be, as all lists are, the writers’ rankings, but we’re damn proud of this list, a LOT of emails, a lot of good debate, a lot of consensus Womens Bryce Callahan Jersey , a lot of dissent and plenty of stats and more went into this.We wanted this list to not just represent the six of us, but the site, the fans and most importantly, the deep and rich history of the greatest and oldest professional football franchise in the National Football League. Stay tuned for tomorrow and each week after, as we reveal the list 10 at a time. There will also be more articles surrounding the list, regarding snubs, honorable mentions, players that an individual writer thought should have been ranked higher or lower, etc. It’s going to be a fun thing to fill the gap until training camp. You can check out our countdown to number one by clicking right here. The former Colts head coach and Ravens defensive assistant was at Halas Hall Friday. He could be just what the doctor ordered for the Bears."Almost a week out from their elimination from the 2019 NFL postseason, the Bears have been on the prowl for a new defensive coordinator. With respected mentor Vic Fangio now the new Broncos head coach after helping Chicago become pro football’s best defense, head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace have the challenge of maintaining that stellar play. The next man on their to-do list is former Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, who officially interviewed for the Bears’ open defensive coordinator position on Friday, according to the Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs. Pagano was last seen in the NFL as a head coach in 2017 as the Colts stumbled to a 4-12 record. Viewing Pagano as a poor hire due to the end Josh Bellamy Jersey , or even for much of the duration of his tenure with the Colts, would be disingenuous as to describing the defensive mind he is. After recovering from cancer treatments in 2012, when Pagano took back over full-time in 2013 the Colts defense improved from 25th to 15th in defensive DVOA. The following year, Indianapolis improved to 12th overall: the peak of Pagano’s coaching stint with the Colts. When considering the fact that former general manager Ryan Grigson was less than generous in stacking the Colts’ cupboard with defensive talent, that’s something to be commended on the part of Pagano. Pagano’s best year when leading a defense came as the Ravens’ defensive coordinator in 2011, where Baltimore had the NFL’s best defense in DVOA. A season that acted as a resume springboard for Pagano to eventually become the Colts’ head coach. Terrell Suggs, in a similar role that Khalil Mack plays, ended up winning Defensive Player of the Year. The Ravens themselves went 12-4, won the AFC North, and managed to find their way to the 2012 AFC Championship Game: their season ironically ending on a missed field goal. Where Suggs, Ray Lewis, and Ed Reed were players that responded well to Pagano’s coaching, Mack http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-anthony-miller-jersey , Roquan Smith, and Eddie Jackson in similar roles can do just the same. If the Bears were to hire Pagano as their new defensive coordinator, the former head coach would assuredly allow Matt Nagy to focus on game-planning for the offense: a crucial aspect of this hiring process. Pagano’s aggressive 3-4 scheme would also be a relatively seamless translation for the NFL’s best defense, talent still trumping all. For the best defensive coordinator opening in football, it’s Pagano’s presence that could help keep the Bears’ premier dominance going. Life does, and must, go on without Fangio. With Pagano, it can. He and his burgeoning family continue to live in northern San Diego and he commutes up and down the 5 and 405 freeways to practices in Orange County and home games at a soccer stadium in Carson. Thus, the sports association named Rivers one of its professional stars of the year for 2018, along with snowboarding superstar and Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, Boston Marathon women’s winner Desiree Linden and Washington Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg.“I certainly understand the mixed feelings and emotions many in San Diego have about our move,” Rivers told the crowd in a hotel ballroom. “It’s more than understandable. Those that still cheer and pull for us each week, we certainly appreciate it. I again, personally, want to express my gratitude for all the love and support that I’ve always felt in and around town, whenever I’m out and about.”On the verge of tears White Travis Benjamin Jerseys , Rivers paused to compose himself while the audience clapped. He continued to struggle as he finished.“As I try out there every Sunday, with that bolt on my helmet and 17 on my back, play like crazy with that passion and fight that that’s the only way I know how, I hope that there are some of you still here in San Diego that can still say, ‘That’s our quarterback.'”Rivers received a standing ovation as he walked away from the podium.Rivers understands the emotional upheaval caused when Chargers owner Dean Spanos, unable to get a stadium deal to his liking, moved the team from its home of 56 seasons. Many once-loyal fans say they’ll never cheer for the Chargers, no matter how beloved Rivers might have been. Many say that as much as they loathe Spanos for ripping away their favorite team, they support Rivers and want to see him finally win a Super Bowl ring. Others become angry when pondering that if the team ever does win a Lombardi Trophy, it would be as the Los Angeles, not San Diego, Chargers. Many San Diegans even swallowed hard and cheered for once-hated Tom Brady and the New England Patriots when they routed the Chargers in the divisional round three weeks ago, once again leaving Rivers short of even playing for a championship.Rivers’ attachment to San Diego has as much to do with his family as football.“This town was so welcoming to me and my family when we arrived in 2004 Travis Benjamin Jerseys 2019 , my wife and I and one daughter,” he said as the crowd began to laugh, “and in a couple of weeks our ninth child will be here. We truly have enjoyed being a part of this community.”Rivers said afterward that it was important to accept the award in person.“You don’t know how many more times you’re going to get, publicly, to get to say thanks, really,” he said. “You know, small-town boy from Alabama ends up in California, in San Diego, playing 13 years and still living here now 15. You never know what it’s going to be like. I can be nothing but thankful for how it was for our family and how much I loved playing down here. All those things. I just thought it was important not to just go, ‘Yeah, OK, I don’t think I can get over there White Derek Watt Jerseys ,’ and just to be able to express that at least one more time.”Rivers, 37, continues to play at a high level and said he has a handful of seasons left. He helped lead the Chargers to a 12-4 record this season and back into the playoffs for the first time since 2013. He threw for 4,308 yards and 32 touchdowns, with 12 interceptions. He’s still never reached the Super Bowl.“Well, shoot, I thought this was the year, I really did,” he said. “We were in a groove and playing really well and we know what happened. It’s as good as a team as we’ve had in some time. This rivals that ’06 to ’09 group we had, when we really probably should have won two. We’re definitely going to be able to give ourselves a chance.”And he’ll still be a San Diegan.

Having taken care of one of their pass-rushers with a long-term deal Haloti Ngata Jerseys Stitched , the Eagles may be trying to set another one free. The Eagles picked the 33-year-old Bennett up in a trade with the Seahawks last year, and he had 9.0 sacks in his first season there. He was versatile enough to play inside and outside, and was a steady contributor throughout the year. The Eagles just signed Brandon Graham to a three-year, $40 million extension, and may have just been gauging the market or looking for cap room to make other moves..There are many pass-rushers in free agency, but as franchise tags get doled out Youth Nigel Bradham Jerseys , it’s reasonable to think other teams would be interested in Bennett, who is signed at reasonable rates the next two years (cap numbers of $7.2 million and $8 million). They also have Chris Long and Derek Barnett, so they’re well-stocked at the position in case they were able to move Bennett. PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Carson Wentz has a back injury. The severity is still not known. Two people familiar with the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback's injury confirmed reports that Wentz has a fractured vertebra, but no definitive determination has been made regarding his status, pending further evaluation. Both people spoke to The Associated Press on Thursday on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to discuss Wentz's injury. Wentz sat out practice for the second straight day, increasing the possibility Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles will play at the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night. Wentz wore a red jersey and watched the open portion of practice. He's seeking more medical opinions before deciding a course of action.Dr. Andrew Sama, a spine surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York Nigel Bradham Jerseys Stitched , said breaks in the spine can be considered stable or unstable."If considered unstable, these breaks usually require surgery to stabilize the spine to allow healing. Stable breaks are usually treated with rest and sometimes bracing," Sama told The AP in an email.Sama isn't treating Wentz so he doesn't know if he could continue to play through the injury."It's hard to say without knowing which vertebra is involved and what kind of break it is," Sama said.Sama said stable fractures are treated through rest, physical therapy, and sometimes bracing."Breaks can sometimes take 6-12 weeks to heal," he added.Foles hasn't taken a snap in a game since Week 2. He took over in Week 14 last season after Wentz tore two ligaments in his left knee. Foles led Philadelphia to its first NFL title since 1960 and started the first two games this season Tommy McDonald Jerseys Stitched , going 1-1.Wentz has 3,074 yards passing, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 11 games this season after finishing third in the NFL MVP voting last year. He has career highs in passer rating (102.2) and completion rate (69.6 percent).Foles is 21-12 as a starter, including playoffs, in two stints with Philadelphia.

There is no objective worth of a player — a guy is worth what a team is willing to give up for him.But CBS Sports opined some possible trade scenarios this morning involving the Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles and they are wild Black Leonard Fournette Jerseys , folks. In short, the Eagles have two good quarterbacks and the Jaguars have none. How can we bring a balance to that? Will Brinson of CBS Sports has a few options.Draft picks for FolesBrinson’s first option is one where the Jaguars aren’t even (technically) giving up a first round pick for the journeyman turned Super Bowl winner.So... trade down in the first round and give up your earlier third round pick for a late second round pick and Foles. While I’m not opposed, this seems wildly unrealistic. Why would the Eagles take so little for a guy they could conceivably get a first rounder for straight up?Fournette for FolesThis is the wildest one from Brinson and another severe undervalue of Foles’ ability, in my opinion.Where do I sign?Fournette has not been worth his fourth overall draft slot so far — much less a first round talent. He has a career 3.7 yards per carry average and has missed 11 games in his first two seasons due to injury or suspension. What do you think?Let us know in the comments about how you’d think of either of these scenarios! JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars cleared $30 million in salary cap space by cutting five veterans Friday, including former Pro Bowl defenders Malik Jackson and Tashaun Gipson. The team also released offensive lineman Jermey Parnell Leonard Fournette Jerseys 2019 , running back Carlos Hyde and long-snapper Carson Tinker. The Jaguars are expected to use the much-needed cap room — they now have about $32 million to spend in 2019 — to sign a quarterback in free agency next week, possibly Nick Foles.Philadelphia opted not to use the franchise tag on Foles, allowing him to hit the open market. He could get a deal worth more than $20 million annually.Foles led the Eagles to four playoff victories over the last two seasons, including the franchise’s first NFL title since 1960. He earned 2018 Super Bowl MVP honors and emerged as the league’s top quarterback commodity.Jacksonville did not part ways with quarterback Blake Bortles, but might do so next week. Cutting Bortles would create another $4.5 million in salary cap space. The Jags saved $11 million by releasing Jackson, a defensive tackle who was due to count $15 million against the cap. They saved $7.45 million by cutting Gipson Black Logan Cooke Jerseys , a safety who was due to count $9.05 million against the cap. They saved $6 million on Parnell, $4.7 million on Hyde and $860,000 on Tinker.Jacksonville, however, will have $5.6 million counted against the salary cap from the Jackson and Gipson deals.Jackson and Gipson were productive in Jacksonville, playing in all 48 games during their three seasons.Jackson won a Super Bowl with Denver in 2016 and then signed a six-year Logan Cooke Jerseys 2019 , $85.5 million contract with the Jags. The deal included $42 million guaranteed, the richest in franchise history. He notched 105 tackles, 18 sacks, eight pass breakups and four forced fumbles. He came off the bench late last season, a clear indication his future with the franchise was in jeopardy.Gipson signed a five-year, $36 million deal that included $12 million guaranteed. He had 159 tackles Black Ronnie Harrison Jerseys , 16 pass breakups and six interceptions in three seasons in Jacksonville. Both players should draw plenty of interest in free agency. Jackson is 29 years old and hasn’t missed a game since his rookie year in 2012. Gipson is 28 and hasn’t missed a game since October 2015.The 32-year-old Parnell was entering the final year of his contract and was due a $1 million roster bonus on March 17.Parnell missed three games because of injuries in each of the last two seasons, and the Jaguars believe they can get equal or better production for less money. And that’s necessary for a team with little cap space and plenty of holes to fill.Parnell started 57 games over four seasons after signing a five-year, $32 million contract in 2015. The deal included $15.5 million guaranteed.Tinker missed 27 of 32 games the last two years because of knee injuries, prompting the team to re-sign veteran snapper Matt Overton.Hyde was a disappointment in Jacksonville, which acquired him from Cleveland last October in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick. The Jaguars had hoped he would fill in for injured starter Leonard Fournette, but Hyde managed just 189 yards in eight games.Fournette Ronnie Harrison Jerseys 2019 , Thomas Rawls and second-year pro David Williams are the only running backs remaining on Jacksonville’s roster. The Jags likely will address the position in free agency or the draft, or maybe both. The 28-year-old Hyde should not have a problem finding a home elsewhere. He has 3,300 yards rushing and 26 touchdowns. He signed a three-year, $15.25 million contract with the Browns last March. He became expendable in Cleveland when rookie Nick Chubb started looking like a second-round steal.Hyde was due a $1 million roster bonus on March 15, the same day that $2 million of his base salary would have become guaranteed.

The NFL had plenty of issues internationally this season, but they’re still committed to the project. The league announced it would play five games in international markets this year, one in Mexico City and four more in London. While the schedule hasn’t been set yet Black Jalen Ramsey Jerseys , the league announced the home teams for those five games would be the Rams, Chargers, Raiders, Jaguars, and Buccaneers. This year’s Mexico City game was one of the league’s biggest flops, as the top-shelf matchup between the Chiefs and Rams had to be moved back to Los Angeles at the last minute because of shabby field conditions. But that wasn’t the only issue. The league planned for the Raiders and Seahawks to play in the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium this year, but that game had to be moved to Wembley because of construction delays at the new site. And with Tottenham playing home games at Wembley this year, the turf there has been less-than-ideal for both soccer and football purposes.

ALAMEDA Will Harris Jersey , Calif. (AP) — Coach Jon Gruden said he remained cautiously hopeful that left guard Kelechi Osemele can return from a toe injury and right guard Gabe Jackson can get back from an elbow injury in time for Monday night’s home finale against Denver.“You have to be realistic, not just hopeful,” Gruden said Monday. “This is a serious toe injury that is hard for him to maneuver on. Gabe Jackson is suffering from a very legitimate elbow injury and it’s hard to block people when you can’t extend your arm. We’re concerned, obviously. But, I will say this. Chaz Green and Denzelle Good — on a short notice — they did do some good things yesterday.”With a pair of backup guards who joined the team during the year, the Raiders struggled offensively against a Bengals team that came into the game as the lowest-ranked defense in the NFL.Oakland allowed five sacks in a 30-16 loss as the offense generated just one touchdown behind the banged-up line. While much attention was placed on the fill-in guards, it was the rookie tackles who struggled more http://www.detroitlionsteamonline.com/austin-bryant-jersey , particularly left tackle Kolton Miller, who allowed two sacks and eight of the 16 pressures against Derek Carr, according to Pro Football Focus.“He had a couple pass sets that were uncommon for him and we have to fix that fast,” Gruden said. “He was isolated in some tough one-on-one situations like he always is. There were a couple pass sets that I’m sure he wants back and we have to continue to work with him on the practice field and become a lot more consistent in that aspect.”It’s been a tough rookie season for Miller, who was selected 15th overall by the Raiders. Miller was hampered by a knee injury he played through earlier in the season and has appeared to lack the strength to deal with NFL pass rushers at times.According to Pro Football Focus, Miller has allowed more sacks (14) and total pressures (59) than any other player in the league. But Gruden remains confident in Miller.“For a rookie, he’s been able to handle the peaks and valleys of his rookie season very well Max Scharping Jersey ,” Gruden said. “He’s had some really good games. He’s had some games where he’s had his eyes opened. He’s not the first rookie left tackle that has gone through this. We’d like to see him finish with some authority and we have to help him do that with a much better protection plan than I called yesterday.”The poor protection has taken a toll on Carr, who has been sacked 47 times this season after having just 36 the previous two seasons combined. The only Raiders to be sacked more in a season since the merger are Rich Gannon with 49 in 1999 and Jeff George with 58 in 1997.Carr has also been sacked at least three times in seven straight games, the longest single-season streak since Blake Bortles did it in the final seven games of 2014.“I think Derek has played great,” Gruden said. “Somebody told me he had 3,700 yards and 68 percent completions in 13 games. That’s astonishing. With three new guards, losing a right tackle, a feature back Brian Burns Jersey , three top receivers. The guy is a hell of a player. The guy is a great quarterback. We are very pleased and proud of what he has done. We know we got to get better around him, and that we will.”NOTES: Gruden said there’s a chance T Donald Penn could be activated from IR from a groin injury that sidelined him in Week 4. … CB Gareon Conley is in concussion protocol after leaving Sunday’s game with the injury. ATLANTA (AP) — Ndamukong Suh says he has not gone about trying to remake his reputation in his first and perhaps only season with the Los Angeles Rams. The mammoth defensive tackle and three-time All-Pro was notorious for racking up fines and suspensions that cost him over $400,000 in his first five seasons, all with the Detroit Lions.“I’m not sure if anything’s changed,” the ninth-year veteran said. “I’m still aggressive. I still like to get after the quarterback. I don’t know. You’d have to ask the refs.”The second overall draft choice in 2010, Suh was fined more than $20,054 for a horse-collar tackle early last month in his return to Detroit. But says he’s been mostly satisfied with laying low after signing a one-year http://www.pantherscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-greg-little-jersey , $14 million deal with the Rams last April. He went so far as to say he doesn’t “mind being in the shadows” — he plays next to Aaron Donald, the only unanimous choice for the 2018 All-Pro squad — and called himself an introvert. That’s quite a transformation for a player with so much negative attention early in his career.“I think everybody’s got to have their own opinion and look at it for what it actually is,” Suh said. “I mean obviously there’s mishaps that have taken place early in my career, but some people choose to run with it for years. Some people choose to run with it for days. End of story. It’s up to them.”

Every off-season we see teams surprisingly release star players in an effort to save money or to begin rebuilding for the future http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/kahale-warring-jersey , and then it becomes a race to see which Super Bowl hungry team is able to acquire the available star players. There are also major trades that go down in the off-season that not even NFL experts and insiders can predict or see coming. Lastly, the draft and free agency also shake up rosters to the point that it's impossible to predict what each team will look like next season. But the 2019 NFL offseason could be an especially intriguing one as there will be many teams entering a rebuilding mode, while there will also be a handful of teams ready to risk it all in order to obtain that last piece for their championship hopes. In all, this should be an explosive and exciting offseason to say the least. Given the drama that will unfold in a few short months, this article takes a look at some of the biggest names that could be on the move and projects where they might land. These are very bold predictions to be making at this point of the year, but for many of them they seem like they could be spot on. So sit back, take a deep breath http://www.indianapoliscoltsteamonline.com/bobby-okereke-jersey , and get excited as you read about which star player will be joining your team in 2019. Blake Snell and the surging Tampa Bay Rays are having success against some of the major’s best teams.

Snell struck out 10, reliever Diego Castillo fanned Jose Altuve in a key spot and the Rays wrapped up an impressive homestand by beating the Houston Astros 3-2 Sunday.

The Rays went 8-1 at Tropicana Field, taking three of four from the World Series champion Astros, sweeping three from the New York Yankees and winning both games against Washington. Tampa Bay set a team record by allowing no more than two runs in its sixth straight game.

”Everybody’s doing their part,” Snell said.

Snell tied Hall of Famer Walter Johnson (1914) with his 11th consecutive home start allowing one or fewer earned runs for the longest stretch in the AL since 1913, according to Elias Sports Bureau.

”He’s pitched like an All-Star,” Rays manager Kevin Cash said. ”We knew we had a chance to have a special series and really special homestand http://www.jacksonvillejaguarsteamonline.com/jawaan-taylor-jersey , and I think he capped it off.”

Matt Duffy hit a two-out, two-run single in the seventh inning that put the Rays ahead 2-1 and Mallex Smith homered in the eighth.

Evan Gattis homered twice for Houston. The Astros went 0 for 14 during the series with runners in scoring position.

”We didn’t do enough to win the game or win the series.” Astros manager A.J. Hinch said.

Snell (11-4) allowed one run and four hits in 7 1/3 innings. The lefty has given up five earned runs over 51 2/3 innings (0.87 ERA) at home this season.

Castillo replaced Snell with the bases loaded in the eighth with the Rays leading by a run. Castillo struck out Altuve in a 10-pitch at-bat and got a grounder from Yuli Gurriel to protect the lead.

Sergio Romo got his eighth save despite allowing Gattis’ homer in the ninth.

Charlie Morton (10-2) struck out 11 in 6 2/3 innings. The Astros led 1-0 when he left with runners at first and second, and Duffy greeted Chris Devenski with a bloop single down the right-field line. Joey Wendle scored from first base when right fielder Josh Reddick hesitated before throwing the ball back to the infield.

”I just kind of froze,” Reddick said. ”There’s no excuse for screwing that up. I’ve got to get the ball in, and even if I throw it home early, we’re still playing the ball game right now.”

Gattis, who had eight homers and 30 RBIs in June http://www.jacksonvillejaguarsteamonline.com/gardner-minshew-ii-jersey , put the Astros up 1-0 on his seventh-inning drive.

Jake Marisnick had a potential run-scoring extra-base hit tracked down in deep center by Smith with two outs in the fifth.

Smith’s homer was his first since last July 21, ending a 356 at-bat drought.

”I’m not worried about hitting home runs,” the speedy Smith said with a smile. ”I like to steal bases. Can’t steal bases when you hit homers.”

Astros: Gurriel returned after three days on the paternity list. . Reliever Joe Smith (right elbow soreness) could be back Tuesday.

Rays: CF Kevin Kiermaier was rested after making two diving catches Saturday. He dropped to 0 for 9, including eight strikeouts, against Morton by going down swinging as a pinch-hitter in the seventh.

Astros RF George Springer was out of the lineup for the second time in three days after tumbling into the stands chasing a foul ball Saturday. Hinch said Springer is ”beat up a little bit.” Springer, mired in a 3-for-44 slide, was a pinch-runner in the ninth.

The Rays could move veteran players like RHPs Nathan Eovaldi and Chris Archer http://www.losangelesramsteamonline.com/darrell-henderson-jersey , and C Wilson Ramos before the non-waiver trade deadline. Also attracting interest is Tampa Bay’s bullpen. ”I imagine our front office will do what they always do, and that’s look to do what’s best for the organization going forward,” Cash said.

The Chicago Cubs and Washington Nationals are among the teams with scouts in attendance recently.

Astros: LHP Dallas Keuchel (4-8) will go against Texas RHP Austin Bibens-Dirx (1-1) Tuesday night.

Rays: Eovaldi (2-3) faces Miami LHP Wei-Yin Chen (2-5) Monday night.

ENGLEWOOD Foster Moreau Jersey , Colo. (AP) —  their contract stalemate with the team bumping the cornerback’s pay in 2019 from about $8 million to $12 million, which is $1 million more than the team’s new cornerback, free agent Kareem Jackson is making.“Done deal!” the team tweeted late Tuesday afternoon.Harris skipped the first two months of the team’s offseason workouts while angling for a pay raise and working out with his personal trainer in Dallas. In a statement, general manager John Elway said, “We have a lot of respect for Chris as a player and for everything he’s meant to our organization. This contract adjustment recognizes his value to our team and the high expectations we have for Chris as a Bronco this season and hopefully for years to come.”However, Harris is set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season.Harris and his agent met with Elway at the NFL scouting combine and came away feeling good about getting a new deal. Those feelings soured when Elway signed two cornerbacks in free agency, Bryce Callahan (three years, $21 million) and Jackson (three years, $33 million).Harris then accused Elway of making it personal by taking a dig at him during his pre-draft news conference when he went out of his way to say that while he would look at Harris’ contract after the draft, he wouldn’t necessarily adjust his deal.Harris, who turns 30 in June Joey Bosa Jersey , is entering the final season of the five-year, $42.5 million contract he signed in 2015 just before the market for elite cornerbacks took off.The last remaining member of the “No Fly Zone” secondary that was the backbone of Denver’s Super Bowl 50 triumph, Harris is the only defensive back in the NFL with multiple interceptions in each of the past seven seasons. The Broncos were 6-6 last season and in the playoff race when Harris sustained a hairline fracture in his right leg and missed the final four games, all losses. He returned to play in the Pro Bowl, where he recorded an interception.Harris told The Associated Press recently that he only needs a day to learn new coach Vic Fangio’s defense and that he’s been training tirelessly with his personal trainer in Dallas in preparation for the upcoming season.“I’m ready to roll. I feel great,” Harris said. “I got my body people with me. I stretch every day. My hips are fluid. I’m making sure I’m ready. I’m not going to stop until I get that gold jacket. I’ve got a lot of years left in me. I’m a DB. I play everywhere. I’m getting ready to face Antonio Brown Week 1.”The Broncos open against the Oakland Raiders on Sept. 9.Even with the Broncos changing quarterbacks and coaches again this offseason, the dominant story line in Denver has been Harris’ holding out for a contract adjustment.Von Miller chimed in recently, saying, “When you first get here they tell you … if you do all of the right things in the community and you do all of the right things on the football field, they’ll take care of you. Chris has definitely done everything and then some.”Champ Bailey, who will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August Tony Pollard Jersey , told The AP that while he saw both sides, he felt Harris deserved a hefty pay raise.“I think he’s been in his prime for a few years now. But you have to be realistic. I always try to be objective. I know this guy should get paid. But then I think about Elway’s stance. He’s a businessman. He’s going to do what is best for the Broncos,” Bailey said.“And the way I see it is you’d better get him signed but you’d also better protect yourself for the long run. He is on the wrong side of 30, let’s be real. But, does he deserve to be the highest-paid corner at least on that team? Hell, yeah!” Whenever the Cubs come to town, their fans fill the stands at Great American Ball Park and their offense usually carries the day. Not so for the last two.

Eugenio Suarez hit a go-ahead homer off Jose Quintana in the fifth inning, and the Cincinnati Reds held on for their fifth straight victory Friday night, 6-3 over the Cubs .

The Reds have won the first two games in the four-game set, a recent rarity in the rivalry. It’s only the second time in the last two years that they’ve won back-to-back games in a series against Chicago. The Cubs are 43-21 against the Reds over the last four seasons.

Cincinnati’s winning streak is one shy of its season high. The Reds are last in the NL Central at 30-45.

”We’re playing really good baseball right now,” Suarez said . ”When you play like that Noah Fant Jersey , good things can happen.”

Suarez’s two-run shot in the fifth inning off Quintana (6-6) gave him a team-high 16 homers and put the Reds ahead 4-3. Billy Hamilton and Joey Votto also singled home runs off Quintana, who had allowed only six earned runs in his last four starts combined.

Quintana hung a changeup on his second pitch to Suarez, who has four homers in his last six games.

”I just missed my spot – a bad pitch,” Quintana said through a translator. ”A bad time to have that happen.”

Suarez also singled twice and extended his hitting streak to a career-high 12 games, the longest by a Reds third baseman since Todd Frazier hit in 14 straight in 2014.

Javier Baez drove in a run with a bunt single off Luis Castillo (5-8), and Kyle Schwarber followed with a two-run homer, his third in four games. Castillo went 5 2/3 innings for his first victory since May 24, ending a streak of four straight losses.

Raisel Iglesias retired the side in the ninth for his 12th save in 14 chances.

”That was one of our cleaner ballgames of the season,” interim manager Jim Riggleman said. ”We played a good ballgame – offensively, defensively, ran the bases well Dalton Risner Jersey , timely hitting.”

Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo went a combined 0 for 8 with three strikeouts as Chicago’s offense struggled again, managing only four hits.

”We’ve played maybe two of our least-impressive games in a month,” manager Joe Maddon said. ”It’s just not been us playing our typical game.”

Left-handed reliever Brian Duensing was activated off the bereavement list before the game. He had been gone for four days to attend his grandfather’s funeral. The Cubs optioned right-hander Justin Hancock to Triple-A Iowa.

Cubs reliever Justin Wilson made a diving grab of Jesse Winker’s bunt in the seventh, landing on his chest while stretching for the ball. He was shaken up for a moment but stayed in the game.

Each of Schwarber’s last three hits has been a home run. Schwarber grew up in nearby Middletown and attended Reds games at Great American. He’s batted .318 in 30 career games against the Reds with nine homers and 25 RBIs.

Bengals center Billy Price threw a ceremonial pitch pregame, bouncing it to the plate. Price was the Bengals’ top pick in the draft.

Cubs: Yu Darvish could begin a rehab assignment next week. He threw 50 pitches in a simulated game without problem on Wednesday. Darvish has been sidelined since May 23 because of tendinitis in his right triceps.

Reds: Homer Bailey will make a rehab start for Triple-A Louisville on Saturday, throwing between 75 and 90 pitches. Bailey has been sidelined since June 2 with a sore right knee. He’s 1-7 with a 6.68 ERA.

Cubs: Luke Farrell (2-2) will make his first start of the season after a dozen relief appearances.

Reds: Anthony DeSclafani makes his fourth start. He was sidelined for the first two months with a strained oblique suffered during spring training. DeSclafani is 2-1 with a 4.60 ERA.

Pro Bowl tight end Jared Cook has agreed to the terms of a free-agent contract with New Orleans. The 6-foot-5 http://www.seahawkscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-cody-barton-jersey , 254-pound Cook is a 10-year veteran coming off his best season yet. He caught 68 passes for 896 yards and six touchdowns with Oakland last season and was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time.Tight ends accounted for relatively modest production in the Saints’ eighth-ranked offense last season. Three tight ends — Ben Watson, Josh Hill and Dan Arnold — combined for 63 catches for 735 yards and four touchdowns. And Watson, who led the position group with 35 catches for 400 yards and two TDs Gary Jennings Jr. Jersey , has retired.Cook, who turns 32 next month, was a third-round draft choice out of South Carolina in 2009 and was acquired by Tennessee on a draft-day trade with New England. He spent his first four seasons in Tennessee http://www.seahawkscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-phil-haynes-jersey , where in 2011 he had 49 catches for 759 yards and three touchdowns.Cook later spent three seasons with the St. Louis Rams and one season with Green Bay before joining Oakland two seasons ago. For his career, Cook has 425 catches for 5,464 yards and 25 touchdowns. Other than the painfully awkward driver’s license photo Ugo Amadi Jersey , where they make you stand on the white line and pose for what looks like some sort of repurposed Polaroid camera that adds an extra chin to every single person without discrimination, a mug shot is just about the most humiliating photo you'll ever take. It's that vulnerable, post-arrest snapshot documenting your recent criminal misdeeds after you’ve just broken the law and been tossed into the slammer. They’re unbecoming http://www.bengalsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-drew-sample-jersey , to say the least, especially if the person getting arrested is a past or present pro football star who went from the highest of celebrity highs to the lowest of felonious lows with an embarrassing photo he knows is going to spread on the internet like wildfire about six seconds after he’s been booked and fingerprinted into the system. And it’s an all-too-common occurrence. NFL players have a bad habit of getting themselves into trouble with a long rap sheet of arrests for everything from theft and drug abuse to drunk driving and even murder. It’s not a good look on the players, and it’s not a good look on the league.Since 2010 http://www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com/trayvon-mullen-jersey , there have been no fewer than 340 arrests of NFL players – and those are just the active ones. That’s a whole lot of opportunity for some pretty crazy mugshots – and trust me, there are more than handful that are crazier than your average village drunk’s.So here are 15 NFL mug shots that you’ve just GOT to see to believe.

ASHBURN http://www.coltscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-bobby-okereke-jersey Jersey , Va. (AP) — Foster appeared to injure his left knee during his first snap at an offseason practice Monday and was taken off the field on a cart.Foster stepped on one of offensive lineman Tyler Catalina’s feet, his left leg landed wrong and he went down in obvious pain. His left leg was stabilized before he was carted off, and while the team awaits an MRI and other tests, it didn’t look good.“We’ll hope for the best right now until we get the results, but very concerning, for sure,” coach Jay Gruden said after the first day of organized team activities. “I’ll just have to wait and see before I get too emotional about it.”Washington claimed Foster off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers after a domestic violence arrest in Tampa, Florida, in November. Prosecutors there decided in January not to pursue a case against the 25-year-old, dismissing the first-degree misdemeanor battery charge. The NFL fined Foster two game checks for the upcoming season but did not suspend him.All eyes were supposed to be on first-round pick Dwayne Haskins and trade acquisition Case Keenum opening up their quarterback competition that will continue into training camp. Haskins impressed Noah Fant Jersey , but Foster going down was another blow to the Redskins, who put an NFL-high 27 players on season-ending injured reserve in 2018 and have invested heavily in trying to limit preventable injuries. This one on the third play of a practice in May at three-quarters jogging speed was another unpredictable accident.“We’ve had some bad luck over here for the last couple years, but this one here takes the cake because this was a noncontact drill and there was really no contact involved in it,” Gruden said. “Sometimes I wish we’d do just all walkthroughs and then go play on Sundays, but we’ve got to practice.”Foster, a 2017 first-round pick of the 49ers, is one of eight former Alabama players on the roster. Those former college teammates had to watch Foster writhing in pain on the practice field more than three months before the season starts.“It’s tough, man,” ex-Alabama linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton said. “All of us are going to be behind him no matter what the circumstances are.”Foster was expected to compete for a starting inside linebacker job this season. That could be in jeopardy if this injury is as severe as it looked and could mean Hamilton and Mason Foster opening as the starters.“It’s part of football, so you’ve just got to keep dealing with it and keep moving forward http://www.denverbroncosteamonline.com/dalton-risner-jersey ,” Mason Foster said. “Guys are ready. Guys have been working hard and just going to continue to work. It’s tough, but just got to play through it and keep working.”NOTES: Gruden said the team is waiting to see if the league hands down any discipline to safety Montae Nicholson, who was arrested for his role in an altercation in December and had the charges dismissed last week. Status as a professional athlete brings one access to a whole new set of women. Specifically, the celebrity kind of women. It basically goes without saying that athletes have a far better shot at famous women than the average dude. Athletes are fitter than average (at least) and have piles of money figuratively lying around, as even backups in the NFL are making a minimum of $450,000 per year in 2016. So the equation basically goes something like physical fitness plus a massive paycheck plus the confidence required to play professional sports equals a vastly improved chance at having a hot girlfriend or wife. This shouldn't be news to anyone. Most of these women are great overall. Looking around the NFL there are some great WAGs on every team and at every position. Actresses Olivia Munn and Kerry Washington are dating Aaron Rodgers and married to retired cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha respectively, and models Gisele Bundchen and Adriana Lima are married to and (possibly) dating New England Patriots Tom Brady and Julian Edelman. These are just four examples of women without catastrophic public personas who are dating football players. On the other hand, there are plenty of celebrities who are complete headaches. Nightmares, train wrecks, dumpster fires Drew Lock Jersey , whatever you want to call them. They may be hot and rich, but the trashy label is not exclusive to the broke and the ugly. Whether they are just awful people, dreadful reality television stars or just drugged out party girls, here are the fifteen NFL players, both past and present, who have dated the trashiest celebrities.

CDTShareTweetShareShare2019 NFL Draft: Bears draft Duke Shelley at No. 205 overallScott Sewell-USA TODAY SportsThere was a clear offensive emphasis by the Bears with each of their first two draft picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. After some necessary patience, Chicago finally went with defense when they selected former Kansas State cornerback Duke Shelley at No. 205 overall in the sixth round. Contrary to popular belief, it did not have to be a pick from Alaska Wesleyan. It was a selection people were actually aware of!Let’s grade the Bears’ addition of Shelley in the sixth round. Grade: BShelley is the first glimpse we have of a cornerback that new defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano prefers at Halas Hall. As someone who would be rightfully described as a defensive back guru with his extensive background from Cleveland to Baltimore White Sherrick McManis Jerseys , Pagano assuredly had a lot of input into Shelley’s selection. The veteran coach has oft-discussed how much pride he takes in individually mentoring and coaching players, especially cornerbacks. Shelley should expect to hear a lot of both Pagano and new secondary coach Deshea Townsend in his ear. You can do much worse than these two as your mentors. A smaller player at a generous 5-foot-9, 181 pounds, Shelley theoretically could be in the mix at nickel cornerback for the Bears. In a very ideal world, he’s eventually pushing veteran Buster Skrine for playing time and becoming Chicago’s slot defensive back of the future. However Sherrick McManis Jerseys 2019 , during Shelley’s last collegiate season he only played 10 snaps in the slot while mostly featuring on the left boundary. The ledger shows he actually has minimal experience playing inside, even if his athletic profile and fit with the Bears maintains he could shine there. If Chicago brass plans to have Shelley make a transition toward nickel cornerback, they have to understand there’s going to be a bit of an adjustment period before he has his sea legs under him. To their credit, the Bears wouldn’t use a pre-draft top-30 visit on Shelley if they didn’t have confidence and patience in what he can become. Shelley is someone who would’ve reportedly had a fourth-round grade at Halas Hall but fell due to a toe injury in his last year with the Wildcats. The Bears may believe they have the makings of a draft “steal” on their hands.Overall, Shelley is a savvy and instinctive player who needs polish at a new granted position before he can take on some of the league’s best offensive slot weapons. Regardless of how the Bears feel at this present moment White Kyle Fuller Jerseys , Shelley more realistically carves out a career as a special teams contributor and depth player than anyone making an impact as a regular starter. Keep in mind that crazier things have happened in an individual prospect’s development on the fringes. Fortunately for Shelley’s sake, he seems adept to making a transition to the inside if you’re optimistic in his outlook. The polished and experienced player with 31 pass deflections and eight interceptions in four seasons changes direction seamlessly in coverage. He’s a physical grinder and tough competitor. There are no easy yards or plays in direct opposition to Shelley. If that description sounds familiar to any recent Bears’ nickel cornerbacks like Bryce Callahan or Cre’Von LeBlanc, it’s because the comparisons are more than apt. The Bears’ secondary depth is thin and unproven until further notice. With any luck, Shelley might soon become someone Pagano and company can rely on. Running back Kerryon Johnson has put up some of the biggest rushing numbers the team has seen in a long time and it looks like he’ll get a chance to continue adding to that record on Sunday.Johnson was listed as questionable on Friday after three days of limited practice. Johnson is dealing with an ankle injury, but Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that he’s expected to play against the Bears on Sunday afternoon.Johsnon became the first Lions player to run for 100 yards in a game since 2013 when he got 101 yards against the Patriots in Week Three. He then became the first Lion with more than 150 rushing yards in a game since 2011 when he went for 158 yards against the Dolphins in Week Seven.Guard T.J. Lang and cornerback Darius Slay will miss the game for the Lions. Defensive end Ziggy Ansah joins Johnson in the questionable category after playing last week for the first time since the season opener.

Guys like running back Justin Jackson and defensive end Isaac Rochell were both selected in the seventh round over the last two seasons. Each has a start under their belt and were key contributors in 2018. After watching Coach Lynn talk the talk when it comes to “playing the best guy”, it’s not out of the blue to think the team’s day 3 picks could be contributors sooner rather than later. With this mind, I’m starting off this short series leading up to the draft with four selections in the seventh round that the Chargers should consider drafting. By April 25th, I will go round by round and throw out four names that I believe should be the team’s biggest priorities on each day of the draft, all the way up through the first. That being said, here are the first four guys that I believe will not only be available in the seventh, but also fit what the Chargers want to do on either side of the ball.DT Cortez Broughton - CincinnatiAfter three underwhelming years for the Bearcats where Broughton only accounted for 3.5 sacks, he broke out in a big during his senior season to the tune of 7.5 sacks and 18.5 tackles-for-loss. He was rightfully named a First Team All-AAC selection alongside DT Ed Oliver, a potential top-5 pick in the draft.Broughton shows a first-step quickness that can be so eye-popping at times that it makes you wonder how you haven’t been hearing more about this guy until now. He is only listed at 6-foot-2 and 290-ish pounds but he can certainly play larger than those numbers. In the video above where Broughton bull-rushes the UCLA guard into the QB’s lap, you can see how overwhelming he can be when he gets the jump on an unsuspecting linemen. In contrast to his peaks as a pass-rusher Los Angeles Chargers Jerseys Stitched , there are times where Broughton struggles to finish sacks that are so bad it makes you think he;s undraftable, like this example from The Draft Network’s Ben Solak:Day 3 guys are going to come with some major bumps and bruises in their game, but it’s all about balancing the potential upside with fit and Broughton fits into the Bolts’ mold of a pentrating 3-technique that only needs to worry about winning his gap and getting into the quarterback’s face.CB Derrek Thomas - BaylorIf there is one thing that we can agree on when it comes to Gus Bradley when it comes to his cornerbacks, it’s that he likes them long and tall.If you look at the original members of Seattle’s vaunted Legion of Boom, cornerbacks Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner were 6’3 and 6’4, respectively while safety Kam Chancellor was also 6’3. The shortest member was safety Earl Thomas at 5’11 but he’s Earl flippin’ Thomas so of course he’s in it.Ever since Bradley got hired as the team’s defensive coordinator, he has yet to draft an outside cornerback, but the undrafted free agents they’ve brought in definitely fit that mold. Michael Davis, Brandon Facyson, and Jeff Richards are all listed at 6’2. How tall do you guys think Thomas? He’s 6’3, according to his draft profile, and showed off some awesome explosiveness at the NFL combine when he jumped 39.5 in the vertical and 10’11 in the broad.Thomas has only been a cornerback for three seasons, having switched from wide receiver before the 2016 season while he was still at Temple. He didn’t rack up a ton of picks but it’s hard to pass-up his physical traits at such a low price. The Chargers seem to always bring in a cornerback or two when they collect their UDFAs and Thomas may just be in that group if he isn’t taken on day 3.LB Ty Summers - TCUA guy I hadn’t heard of much until recently, Summers is one of the twitchiest linebackers in the class who tested extremely well across his pro day and the NFL combine. At 240 pounds, his 4.51 forty is extremely impressive when paired with his excellent explosion and agility numbers listed in the graphic below. His play strength is a common “plus” among his traits so the 27 reps on bench press Cortez Broughton Jersey 2019 , ranking 3rd among the position in Indy, is also no surprise. There aren’t really any thresholds to look at when it comes to predicting who the Chargers may draft when it comes to linebackers, but we know they like them xcrazy-athletic and versatile.Jatavis Brown and Kyzir White both fit this mold and I believe Summers numbers speak for themselves. The speed of Summers shows up in coverage and when he is tasked with blitzing but it’s his instincts that are getting dinged the most in the pre-draft process. Here’s what NFL analyst Lance Zierlein has to say about Summers:But again, it’s the seventh round, and I’ll take Summers’ physical traits every day with the 244th pick.QB Jordan Ta’amu - Ole MissI mentioned Ta’amu before in one of my previous mock drafts and I’m sticking by him in this piece, as well.Ta’amu was the luckiest quarterback in college football this past season. He not only threw to one, but two receivers that will likely go in the first round this year and a third that should get heavy consideration early on day 3.Ta’amu played in a shotgun-heavy vertical passing scheme that bodes well for a smoother transition were he to get drafted by the Chargers. The Bolts were one of the best teams when it came to explosive passing plays (25+ yards) in the NFL last season and that shouldn’t change, even with speedster Tyrell Williams now with the Raiders. The former Rebel quarterback wasn’t terribly prolific in school, throwing for just under 4,000 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2018. His mobility is a plus for me as he also ran for 342 yards and another six touchdowns on the ground. The most scathing marks on Ta’amu’s resume are going to be the fact that his offense ran maybe two dozens plays all year and his lack of productivity with such an explosive offense around him. His peaks throughout the season were admirable but his low-points against Alabama and LSU were really quite awful.Alas, I cannot help but imagine what Ta’amu could do in the Chargers offense, given his propensity for the long-ball and Lynn’s undying preference for a quarterback with some wiggle. Start your Friday with a sweet treat"Here it is, guys. Peak offseason writing. In the wake of the recent holiday, I decided to have a little fun and try my hand at comparing current Chargers players to the popular Valentine’s Day candy that the masses will purchase in bulk to take advantage of the day after-discount. Whether to fill a nagging sweet-tooth or to fill the void left by a recent love lost, chocolate is always the answer.Philip Rivers: Hershey’s Chocolate BarA true classic. As timeless as anything in the candy and sweets world. Like Rivers Cheap Cortez Broughton Jersey , the original Hershey bar will never get old. Just when you think you’re over the traditional candy wrapped in that shimmering silver casing, you take one out of the bowl at your grandparent’s house and take a bite, just be to reminded of how it stills stands with the best of them all these years later.Antonio Gates: Hershey’s KissThe Hersey’s Kiss is almost as timeless as its’ chocolate bar counterpart. Over the years, the delicate morsel has changed in several ways from it’s original form. It’s definitely not the same candy as it was back in the day when it garnered all of its’ respect and loyalty, however. Within the last few years, we have seen the chocolate and vanilla swirl version, the caramel swirl version, and the recent Pumpkin Spice abomination, among others.Like Gates, we’ve gotten a few different versions of the future hall-of-fame tight end over the last couple seasons. It’s obvious that he isn’t the same old Gates from ten years ago, but he can still get the job done. And if you’re anything like me, you can eat a good amount of these bad boys and still find yourself reaching for another, and another. Similar to the team, just when they think they’ve had enough of #85, they just keep going back into the bowl for more.Melvin Ingram: Heart Shaped Box of ChocolatesIn the same way that a box full of chocolate is full of potential and various flavors White Cortez Broughton Jersey , so is Ingram but substitute “flavors” for natural athletic abilities. You can open up one of these boxes and see a plethora of treats before you. You can also grab the very first piece and bite into it, only to retreat in distaste as the morsel in your mouth wound up being a maple syrup chunk instead of the velvety raspberry truffle you had your heart set out on from the very beginning. This past season, Ingram was a tad more inconsistent than the fans would have liked. There were several games where Ingram didn’t have the impact the team needed, especially through the first half of the season when Joey Bosa was sidelined. He had six total games where he only had a single tackle, four of those came during the eight-game stretch without the Big Bear.Just like Forrest Gump used to say, “(Melvin Ingram) is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.”Or something like that.Keenan Allen: Bag of Valentine’s M&MsAllen is one of the best receivers in the NFL. It’s only right that his candy pairing is also one of the best treats in the entire candy world. People eat them by the bag-full, big or small. One could say that, in the same way that people gobble up dozens and dozens of M&Ms in a single sitting, Allen gobbles up targets and catches like a depressed single on the night of February 13th. Over 199 catches over the last two seasons isn’t too shabby, huh?And for what it’s worth, Peanut M&Ms are the best kind of M&Ms and I will hear nothing else about the matter.Derwin James: A hilarious and cheesy Valentine’s Day MemeYeah, yeah, it’s not a candy but it’s a Valentine’s Day tradition that every single person can enjoy and, quite frankly Youth Justin Jones Jerseys , they can’t get enough of. I mean, come on, look at this:It was more than evident this past season that the fans and the entire nation couldn’t get enough of the versatile rookie safety out of Florida State.Oh yeah, that word “versatile” should be emphasized quite a bit. James played all but the interior defensive line during his rookie season, making him one of the most dangerous Swiss Army knife-type players in the league. When it comes to the hilarious meme, there is no end in sight with what you can do. You can relate it to anybody, anything, and any situation. Sounds awfully familiar to James’ usage in 2018...Jahleel Addae: The Disgusting Chalky Valentine’s Day HeartsI don’t think there is a match more made in heaven than this one right here.I’m not going to delve into Addae’s 2018 season because that would just ruin everyone’s Friday and I don’t want to be that guy. This one is self-explanatory. No one likes it. No one knows why they keep them around. However, I just recently learned that this year was supposedly the first year in almost a century that they decided to NOT make these little conversation hearts. Well, if that’s any sort of sign, maybe the Chargers will take a hint and dispose of a presence that only makes the team worse, in the same vein that the hearts add nothing to the holiday and only bum out the people unfortunate enough to receive this treat on February 14th.

If all goes expected for this young man, he could be the Eagles’ blindside protector for the next decade after Jason Peters retires. It’s kind of crazy to think about how the Eagles will be going from an All-Pro talent like Tra Thomas ... to a future Hall of Famer in Peters ... to a very talented prospect in Dillard. That kind of stability at the left tackle position shouldn’t be taken for granted. In order to further celebrate the Dillard pick, you can place an order for his jersey. It’s unclear exactly what number he’ll be wearing in Philly. It obviously won’t be his college number (No. 60) since that’s retired in honor of Chuck Bednarik. Current available offensive line numbers include: 61, 64 Wilbert Montgomery Jersey , 67, 76, and 77. You might scoff at the idea of getting an offensive tackle jersey but, hey, the trenches are where the games are won and lost. And if Dillard has the (admittedly atypical) longevity of Peters http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-wes-hopkins-jersey , he could still be around in 2033!
