We didn’t see much from the Titans’ first team on Saturday against the Buccaneers Womens Brian Orakpo Jersey , but what little we did see was encouraging once again. The passing game never really got the chance to get into a rhythm, but we did see opportunities in space for Dion Lewis, Derrick Henry and Taywan Taylor. That alone is a nice development. On today’s episode of Locked on Titans, we’ll tell you why that excites us. Gone are the days of drawing up plays to Eric Weems and Harry Douglas. It was a simple, common sense approach on Saturday night and the screen game already looks potent. Additionally, the Titans finally have a check-down guy that can make something out of nothing in Dion Lewis. It’s something the team has been missing for some time and should really make Marcus Mariota’s life a lot easier. We’ll also discuss some good showings from Jayon Brown Womens Brett Kern Jersey , Harold Landry, Sharif Finch and Corey Levin. Make sure you’re subscribed to the podcast on iTunes for daily Titans content.Recap: Steelers 16, Titans 6 The Titans dropped to 0-3 in the preseason with a 16-6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday. While the record really doesn’t matter, there is no doubt this was a bad day for the Titans offense. After looking strong for the first two weeks, the first team offense really struggled in Pittsburgh. On the plus side, the defense held its own and kept this from turning in to a blow out.Jayon Brown got the start next to Wesley Woodyard at inside linebacker and the first team defense got a stop on Pittsburgh’s first series. The best play of the drive was Adoree’ Jackson driving on a shallow crossing route to stop his former college teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster for a short gain. Tajae Sharpe got the start across from Corey Davis for a second straight week and makes a couple nice early catches. Taywan Taylor was rotating in with the top group as well. Taylor had a bad drop on a wide receiver screen later in the first half as he failed to follow up his breakout game against the Bucs with another good game.We saw a miscommunication early between Josh Kline and Derrick Henry that resulted in a sack of Marcus Mariota during the first drive. That’s something Henry has struggled with the past couple years and it reared it’s head again here. The drive ended with what appeared to be a miscommunication — or a really bad throw — between Mariota and Corey Davis. Davis was wide open but the throw bounced at his feet. It looked like Mariota expected Davis to flatten his route while Davis continued up field. On the next drive another 3rd down saw Mariota miss Davis again http://www.titansfootballauthentics.com/malcolm-butler-jersey-authentic , this time high. It was a little disconcerting to see Mariota and Davis so clearly not on the same page during what is likely to be their last live reps before the regular season. Mariota finished his day with his first turnover of the preseason as he threw late over the middle — never a good idea — and had the crossing route undercut for an interception. He is unlikely to appear in the final preseason game so that’s probably the last snap we will see from him before Week 1 in Miami. During the second defensive drive, Harold Landry left with an ankle injury and would not return. There is no telling how serious the injury is, but with the Titans already missing starters Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan with injuries, the situation at outside linebacker is getting pretty bleak. They need people to start getting healthy here in a hurry. Kevin Pamphile got some work at right guard with the first team offense, though it didn’t go real well. Pamphile allowed a sack on Mariota while he was in on a play action pass.Kenneth Durden was the first corner in at the CB5 spot which hints that he might be the current favorite to win that spot over Rico Gafford. The first half was pretty much a disaster on offense. The defense was pretty good with the exception of one big play to Justin Hunter (of all people). Seeing the first team offense that out of sorts just two weeks away from the regular season opener was pretty concerning. In the second half Julius Warmsley continued his strong performance as he made plays and drew a big holding call on a nice pass rush. He combined with Matt Dickerson on a sack later on. The second half was largely uneventful besides Anthony Firkser making a bunch of plays late and Devin Ross and Deontay Burnett making a few catches. David Fluellen played well once again and likely solidified his spot on the roster with Akrum Wadley and Dalyn Dawkins out with injuries. Fluellen played well again and should make this team.Overall, this was not a great day for the Titans. They lost Harold Landry (ankle) and Nick Williams (hamstring) to injuries and the offense largely looked lost. The offensive line was a total disaster throughout the day Youth Dennis Kelly Jersey , allowing several sacks and more pressures on the Titans quarterbacks. Mariota and Davis’ inability to get on the same page was probably the most troubling part of the game. Tennessee will need those two to be clicking once the regular season starts in two short weeks.Defensively, there isn’t much to complain about. The Titans played well against the Steelers offense, particularly Adoree’ Jackson who made several nice plays on the day. However, the health of the outside linebackers is going to be a major story as we head towards Week 1 of the regular season.

On Monday morning http://www.eaglescheapauthenticstore.com/stefen-wisniewski-jersey-cheap , Doug Pederson officially confirmed Darby suffered a torn ACL during Philadelphia’s Sunday night loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles will likely soon place Darby on injured reserve to free up a roster spot. When that happens, Darby will become the fifth starter to end up on IR this season. With Darby out, the Eagles’ thin secondary becomes even thinner. Starting nickel cornerback Sidney Jones has been out since getting hurt in Week 6. There’s optimism he can return in Week 11 but we’ll have to see how he does in practice this week. As for Jalen Mills, who sat out in Week 10, Pederson said he’s still “a little further away” from returning. The Eagles’ active corners for their Week 11 game against an explosive Saints offense could include: Jones, Rasul Douglas, Cre’Von LeBlanc, Chandon Sullivan, and De’Vante Bausby. Douglas struggled against Dallas while starting in place of Mills. LeBlanc only joined the team last week after getting claimed on waivers. Sullivan is an undrafted rookie free agent who was called up from the practice squad last month. Bausby was recently re-signed to the practice squad and I’m assuming he’ll get the call up to the main roster. It remains to be seen how Darby’s injury impacts his long-term standing with the Eagles. Darby is set to be a free agent this offseason. The Eagles might’ve been counting on him to get a big deal in free agency so that they could potentially get a nice compensatory pick for him in 2020. Or maybe the Eagles had plans on re-signing him to a long-term deal. Perhaps Darby’s injury will allow him to return on a short-term prove-it contract. We’ll see.In the meantime, it’s hard not to feel like this just isn’t the Eagles’ year. Injuries have hardly been the only reason for struggles but they certainly haven’t helped. From winning his first NFL game against the Bucs years ago, to almost signing with them during last year’s free agency, Foles and Tampa Bay go way back. The quarterback spoke to the media on Wednesday after practice about how he and the team are preparing for their Week 2 matchup. On getting back into a rhythmThe quarterback has never been shy to talk about how much getting into a rhythm is important to his overall production, and heading into Week 2, he’s starting to simmer down and get back into the swing of things.“I think the big thing was getting back into the season and playing a full game,” Foles noted. He said football isn’t an easy sport, and so he continues to grind and build a relationship with his receivers, but he feels good and feels good about practice so far this week.Foles wouldn’t talk about when he learned that he would be starting against Tampa Bay — or whether it’s a week-to-week decision — and the quarterback said that was information he was going to keep in house. He also said “we’re really close” about having that on-field chemistry with Mike Wallace. The QB lamented you can’t so much focus on him not having any catches in Week 1, because they know “he’s a dynamic player” and they just have to work harder to get the ball in his hands.Foles continued to talk about how successful offenses in the NFL spread the ball around, and to do that he just has to make the reads. On Buccaneers prepFoles talked about how good the Atlanta team was last week, and how well the two teams match up against each other — even pointing out that after the game he went up to the defensive players and coordinators to tell them how good of a fight they put up.He said Tampa Bay is obviously a different type of defense schematically Cheap Sidney Jones Jersey , but they are also fast and talented.Foles said you want to start making big gains and having some explosive plays, but you can’t force them, especially against a team that can make you pay for bad decisions. He said he gets to the read and makes plays based on the coverage he sees.He talked about how the Falcons showed a little more two-deep in Week 1, limiting his ability to connect with Zach Ertz, but the QB noted that’s kind of what you expect in the first week of the regular season. Foles pointed out that while they did some different looks, it is still up to the Eagles’ offense to find more opportunities for the tight end.On him not signing with the BucsFoles admitted, “it was close” about the decision to maybe sign with Tampa Bay during free agency last year. He talked about how his wife was pregnant at the time, so while he was trying to make a business decision, he was also making a decision for the future of his family. He said it was additionally difficult because of the long relationship he had with caoch Dirk Koetter, but ultimately they had called Philly home once before and they loved it, the people and the city Youth Ronald Darby Jersey , and thought what better place to bring their daughter into the world.A reporter then quipped about how it seemed to work out for the QB, who nodded as his grin grew wide, followed by a series of chuckles.Foles said he didn’t pay too much attention to Tampa Bay last year to see what could have been, and that once he decided to sign with the Eagles, he was focused on the team and being a new Dad.On his first career win against TampaThe quarterback’s first ever NFL win — and only win his rookie season — was against the Buccaneers back in 2012. Foles said he remembers going back and sitting in his locker after the game, thinking about how difficult it really is to play in the NFL.He noted that the whole season was difficult, being Andy Reid’s last year with the team and everything else that was happening around the organization, and that the win was much needed. Foles talked about watching the film from that game and seeing the team celebrated like they won the Super Bowl — it was an important win.On the ‘Philly Philly’ statueFoles admits he hasn’t seen the Bud Light statue in person, but has seen pictures. He said it’s a representation of the Eagles team and everything that went with it. That moment represents the team’s boldness throughout the course of the year — it was a bold play call and that’s how they played in 2017 and how they hope to play in 2018.

If you didn’t Womens Julién Davenport Jersey , SB Nation created some sort of podcast conglomerate. Most expect this to be a bottom five OL, but is it possible that they can shock the world and at least be average? Most analysts and fans expect more of the same from the Texans’ offensive line this season (and rightfully so), but is it possible that Deshaun Watson’s inevitable improvement can also lead to improvement along the offensive line? After all, zero Texans quarterbacks have been sacked so far this preseason http://www.thetexansfootballauthentic.com/deshaun-watson-jersey-authentic , which perhaps speaks more to the stability and improvement in the QB room than added stability in the offensive line group through the draft or free agency. What say you, BRB? Do you agree with Gower that Houston will likely still have a high sack rate? Or do you think it will improve just by virtue of not having Tom Savage taking ten sacks in a single game like a blind statue stuck in quick sand?

The Pittsburgh Steelers may not be having their greatest start to the year in terms of wins and losses Terrell Edmunds Jersey , but they led the AFC in individual player honors through the first five weeks of the season after T.J. Watt picked up his second AFC Defensive Player of the Week award of 2018 on Wednesday.Watt recorded 3 sacks, a forced fumble and 8 tackles against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5, with his strip sack of Matt Ryan resulting in a touchdown when L.J. Fort fell on the ball in the endzone. Even when he wasn't sacking the quarterback, he was continually harassing him, registering an additional 3 hits and 3 hurries on Ryan in the contest. After a few quiet weeks following an impressive season opener, Watt silenced his critics on Sunday with another dominating performance and remains very much on pace to break LaMarr Woodley’s record for sacks in the first two years of his career.Currently tied for the league lead in sacks with his brother J.J. and Geno Atkins of the Cincinnati Bengals, the young outside linebacker continues to improve almost week-by-week having still only played 20 regular season games in his short career so far.As good as he has been at times rushing the passer, Watt is increasingly looking more comfortable in coverage and his value as a run stopper continues to grow. While J.J. might be the more famous brother in the NFL for now, his youngest brother is nipping at his heels this season, with both players putting up strangely similar numbers so far in 2018. The Pittsburgh Steelers aren't surprised by the success of second-year running back James Conner.Conner continues to shine in the spotlight while two-time All-Pro running back Le'Veon Bell remains away from the team. Conner enjoyed a history-making day, accounting for more than 200 all-purpose yards during the Steelers' 33-18 home win against Cleveland on Sunday."He's doing what he's been doing the whole time," Steelers right guard David DeCastro said. "He's keeping his head down and running really hard. He's a fun guy to block for."Bell, who finished as the NFL's third-leading rusher last season, still has not reported nor signed his one-year, $14.5 million franchise tender.Conner has taken full advantage while Bell has been away.He finished Sunday's game with 212 all-purpose yards, just 25 fewer than the Browns totaled as a team. Conner Authentic James Conner Jersey , a 2017 third-round pick, rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught five passes for 66 yards."I'm just doing what I love to do," Conner said. "Just trying to be in the right spots for (quarterback) Ben (Roethlisberger) with the check-downs in the passing game, and just trying to put the ball in the right spots in the right game."He also made history while he was at it.Conner is the first Steeler to rush for at least 100 yards and two touchdowns in three straight games. He eclipsed 100 yards rushing for the third straight game and fifth time this season."He did a lot of good things (against Cleveland), running the ball and catching the ball for us," Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey said. "He just looks good all the way around and runs the ball hard. He takes it very seriously and his preparation is very good. I can't say enough about him."Now, the rest of the league is taking notice.Conner's nine touchdowns rank second in the NFL and his 599 rushing yards are third. Conner, a former University of Pittsburgh standout, is also tied for the most touchdown runs, and has the second-most yards from scrimmage — 922 — through the first seven games of a season in team history."I had a front-row seat for his college exploits, so we are not surprised by his talents, play, demeanor, or his displays of will," said Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, whose team shares a practice facility with Pitt.Conner rushed for 135 yards Youth JuJu Smith-Schuster Jersey , gained 192 all-purpose yards and finished with two scores during the season opener at Cleveland. He has 281 yards rushing, 404 all-purpose and four touchdowns in two games against the Browns. It wasn't easy for Conner on Sunday: Conner had 36 yards rushing on his first 12 carries. But on his next 12, Conner added 110 yards rushing. By the third quarter, the fans at Heinz Field were chanting his name — "CON-NER," ''CON-NER," — when he finished the period with 114 all-purpose yards."I'm proud of him," Roethlisberger said. "It was so much fun to watch him go and work and be successful and hear the crowd love on him."Conner didn't allow the slow start to affect his play."Things aren't going to go our way the whole game," Conner said. "You just have to have patience. We just wanted to stay focused and locked in."Conner enjoyed a strong finish with 60 of 75 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown, during a third-quarter scoring drive that gave the Steelers an 11-point lead. He added a 22-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter."It's just a moment that we have to take advantage of late in the game," Conner said. "We have the ball, trying to run the clock out and we need first downs. We're just trying to move those chains and stay on the field."Conner seeks a strong finish to the season, of course."I'm just trying to be a better back every week," Conner said. "I'm just running hard."

The path for Stefon Diggs to last-play touchdown fame and sudden Minnesota savior didn’t start with such brilliance.

Diggs has only arrived at this stage of his life and his career Adam Larsson Jersey , a Vikings standout on the verge of a Super Bowl, with an unrelenting diligence and a dose of humility.

For all the natural talent of a consensus five-star recruit coming out of high school, he’s sure had to work hard to get here.

”He’s my guy. I love him to death. I appreciate all he does for this team, and I appreciate all he’s done for me,” fellow wide receiver Adam Thielen said. ”He’s pushed me harder than anybody has pushed me in my life.”

Remember those first three regular-season games in the NFL? Not really. He was a healthy scratch on the sideline.

That’s a long way from the 61-yard catch-turn-run sequence that Diggs produced as time expired on Sunday that sent the Vikings to the NFC championship game with a 29-24 victory over New Orleans .

”He continually has gotten better over the past three years,” tight end Kyle Rudolph said.

”It’s awesome to see guys like that who work so hard have an opportunity in such a big moment and for them to make the most of it.”

Treating each practice as if it’s a game is a common response from teammates asked about Diggs and his work ethic. Thielen and Diggs are widely considered to be two of the sharpest and savviest route runners in the league.

”He wants to win. Whether he’s getting the ball or he’s not getting ball, blocking or not, whatever he’s doing, he wants to win,” Vikings cornerback Mackensie Alexander said, adding: ”The thing I love about Diggs is he doesn’t let the game be bigger than him. He just kind of goes in the game, and it’s just another game. That allows you to play well.”

Setbacks became a recurring theme for Diggs, who chose to stay in his home state and play for Maryland so his family could watch him more often despite offers from powerhouse programs such as Auburn, Florida and USC.

With the Terrapins, though, he caught passes from four different quarterbacks over three seasons, with more than one starter used each year.

Injuries each season kept him from playing a full schedule, including a broken leg as a sophomore and a lacerated kidney as a junior.

When he declared for the draft a year early, there were also questions from NFL teams about his attitude and compliance.

After high stepping and somersaulting into the end zone in one game in 2013, coach Randy Edsall pulled him aside for a mild admonishment to remind him about the importance of reputation.

With substandard 6-foot height also a factor, Diggs fell to the fifth round for the Vikings to find one of the true steals of that 2015 draft. He made an immediate impact in his debut at Denver, with six receptions for 87 yards. Four games in Cam Talbot Jersey , he had 419 yards and two touchdowns.

”When I was going into the combine and stuff like that, I had 100 percent confidence in myself,” Diggs said on Wednesday, as the Vikings reconvened for practice in preparation for their game Sunday at Philadelphia.

”I had a lot of support along the way. I had some great coaches and some great teammates that pushed me in the right direction. I’ll never take all the credit.”

His production waned down the stretch of his rookie season, with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater still developing on the job.

In Sam Bradford’s first game for Minnesota in 2016, the lid-lifter at U.S. Bank Stadium against rival Green Bay, Diggs hauled in 13 catches for 182 yards and a score in front of a prime time Sunday night audience.

But a groin injury cost him one game and some momentum. Then he hurt his knee and missed another game.

His first two games at home in 2017 were showstoppers, with two touchdowns apiece, but that groin injury popped up again at Chicago and kept him out for the next two weeks. Thielen, meanwhile, surpassed him as Case Keenum’s favorite target.

There was Diggs in the huddle on Sunday, though, with 10 seconds left listening to Keenum tell the receivers he was going to give somebody a shot.

”It meant so much to me to see my quarterback believe in me the last play of the game,” said Diggs, who began crying hard enough to cut short and turn away from one of his on-field TV interviews after the winning touchdown.

His younger brother, Trevon Diggs, happened to be in the stadium that evening for his first live NFL game. He’s a cornerback and punt returner for Alabama who just won a national championship. Their father, Aron Diggs, died 10 years ago of heart failure .

”He started me in football. He played a huge part in what’s going on now. That’s the biggest thing. Kind of try and thank him prior to the game, him and God,” Diggs said, ”and try and keep that thing going.”

St. Louis pitcher Carlos Martinez found his rhythm early Youth Darnell Nurse Jersey , both on the mound and at the plate.

It was another encouraging sign for the right-hander, who struggled through a rough May and wound up on the disabled list for the first time in his career.

Martinez pitched seven effective innings for his third consecutive win and doubled in the Cardinals‘ first run in a 3-2 win over the San Francisco Giants 3-2 on Saturday.

”You could tell he found something in the `pen that he carried right onto the mound in the first inning,” St. Louis manager Mike Matheny said. ”That’s a great place for him to be and he just kept building on it. Now it looks just like he was before he got hurt.”

Martinez missed 23 games while sidelined with a right lat strain and was only marginally effective upon his return. In his last three starts, however, Martinez has a 2.36 ERA while allowing five runs in 19 innings.

”Right now my arm is great so I don’t have any pain in there,” Martinez said. ”I have focus always and I believe in myself.”

Martinez allowed one run on six hits with three strikeouts and did not walk a batter for the third time this season.

Kolton Wong had two hits and scored a run, disgruntled outfielder Dexter Fowler added a sacrifice fly and Francisco Pena singled in a run.

Martinez (6-4) was steady most of the afternoon and only allowed one runner past first base until the sixth inning. He got Brandon Belt to pop out with a runner on third in the first, stranded runners on base in the second and fourth and then got Brandon Crawford to ground out after Belt’s RBI double in the sixth.

Jordan Hicks allowed a run in the eighth and Bud Norris retired three batters for his 17th save.

”The last outings I’ve had really good focus and I’m comfortable with myself,” Martinez said. ”All my pitches are moving, and today I was trying to throw right in the middle because I’ve got a lot of movement on my two-seamer and my cutter.”

Belt had three hits and drove in both runs for the Giants. San Francisco has been held to two runs or fewer in five of its last six games.

Jeff Samardzija had an uneven outing in his first start since May 29. Activated off the disabled list before the game, Samardzija (1-5) gave up three runs in five innings and repeatedly pitched with runners on base.

”The mistakes aren’t because of the arm,” Samardzija said. ”They’re just because of the execution of the pitch, and that’s always a good thing.”

FOWLER’S FUNK

Fowler went 0-for-3 to drop his batting average to .168. Earlier this week, Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak appeared to question Fowler’s effort but later backed off those comments.

”That’s a big run right there,” Matheny said, adding that Fowler has been taking better at-bats. ”I know he’s looking for results right now and the fact that we can get a run in, that’s a result. But I know he’s looking for some hits to fall in, just like everybody else.”

TRAINER’S ROOM

Cardinals: Yadier Molina was given the day off after experiencing soreness in his right shoulder. LHP Tyler Lyons (elbow strain) began his rehab assignment and threw 13 pitches in one scoreless inning for Triple-A Memphis. Lyons has been out since June 6. RHP Luke Gregerson (shoulder impingement) threw nine pitches in a rehab appearance with Double-A Springfield.

Giants: 2B Joe Panik was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left groin strain he injured while running from first to third during Friday’s game. Closer Hunter Strickland (broken hand) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list. INF Chase d’Arnaud was called up from Triple-A Sacramento and RHP Chris Stratton was optioned down.

UP NEXT

Giants LHP Madison Bumgarner (1-3, 2.58 ERA) pitches the series finale Sunday against Cardinals RHP Jack Flaherty (3-4, 3.19). Bumgarner has lost five of his last six starts against St. Louis. Flaherty allowed five runs in four innings during his only career appearance against San Francisco in 2017.
