Minnesota did not release the specifics of the deal, but various reports peg the terms of the contract at three years and $84 million, fully guaranteed. It’s a game-changer for the Vikings, who haven’t had a 4,000-yard passer since Brett Favre in 2009. Cousins has thrown for more than 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns in each of the past three seasons.Case Keenum started for the Vikings last season after Sam Bradford aggravated a knee injury in Week 1, throwing for 3,547 yards and 22 touchdowns with seven interceptions while leading the Vikings to the NFC Championship game.Bradford became the Vikings’ starter after former first-round pick Teddy Bridgewater suffered a devastating knee injury prior to the 2016 season. All three quarterbacks now have new homes.Bradford will reportedly with the Arizona Cardinals, Bridgewater is headed to the New York Jets and Case Keenum has signed with the Denver Broncos.Originally drafted by the Washington Redskins in 2012 to back up Robert Griffin III, Cousins appeared to be Washington’s future after Griffin’s career went off the rails. He spent six seasons with Washington https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-terry-mclaurin-jersey , making 60 appearances and racking up 16,206 passing yards, 99 touchdowns while registering a 65.5 completion percentage and a 93.7 quarterback rating. and that meant the second round of games in its inaugural season could go on as planned. For the second straight week, Arizona wide receiver Rashad Ross was among the stars. He caught four passes for 67 yards and a touchdown a week after grabbing five passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns in the Hotshots’ season-opening win. He’s second in receiving yards to fellow former NFL receiver Charles Johnson and said this week that he hopes his success in the new league can get him back to the big one.“My ultimate goal is to get back in the NFL. … I want that chance again to show I still have the talent, still have the speed and still have the hands to be in the NFL,” Ross said, via NBC Sports Washington.Ross played 15 games with Chicago and Washington between 2014 and 2016 and caught nine passes for 192 yards and a touchdown. If he’s able to continue thriving in the AAF, he could get a chance to add to those totals.

While many pour over endless mock drafts looking at specific prospects with a fine toothed comb, others prefer to just look at positional needs. For the Pittsburgh Steelers and their fan base https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-terrell-edmunds-jersey , it has essentially been a question of which position is a top need for the black-and-gold. Inside linebacker?Cornerback?Wide Receiver?Recently SB Nation’s FanPulse asked Steelers fans what they thought, and the response was pretty obvious. 61% of voters saw the inside linebacker position as the biggest need for the Steelers moving forward, with cornerback coming behind in second. What might have been the most shocking when looking at the results of this survey were how few fans thought wide receiver was the team’s biggest need. I get how the thought of wide receiver trumping inside linebacker, a position of need since Ryan Shazier’s traumatic injury in 2017, might sound odd, but the team is now having to replace Antonio Brown’s 15 touchdown receptions he hauled in 2018.Everyone has their guess as to who, or what position Womens Terrell Edmunds Jersey , the Steelers will target in the first round of the draft, but their free agent acquisitions of Donte Moncrief, Mark Barron and Steven Nelson have given them a tremendous amount of flexibility on their roster. In other words, they aren’t pigeon-holed into staring at one position or prospect, but can see what their board looks like when it is their turn to pick 20th overall. That is, if they remain at 20th and don’t trade out of that spot, but that is another story altogether. What say you? What is the Steelers’ biggest need heading into the draft tonight? Let us know by voting in the poll below Womens James Conner Jersey , and letting us know why you voted which way in the comment section below! Ben Roethlisberger is sorry for publicly calling out teammates. Unless he isn’t.Roethlisberger’s recent to Michele Tafoya of NBC carried with it a caveat that makes it seem like Ben isn’t really sorry at all.“I wish I wouldn’t have done it,” Roethlisberger said regarding his decision to use his weekly radio show as a platform for criticizing a route that Antonio Brown ran late in a key loss to the Broncos. “Because obviously we saw what happened, and obviously it ruined a friendship and just got caught up in the emotion, the heat of the battle. But the other person I challenged that game was [receiver] James Washington. And I know people made a big deal about that. But James Washington texted, called me, and talked to me in person and thank[ed] me for that. And so the outside world was killing me for it, he thanked me and that’s all that really mattered.”So why didn’t Brown react the same way?“You’ll have to ask him T. J. Watt Jersey White ,” Roethlisberger told Tafoya. “I’m not sure.” Washington, a rookie, knows how his bread is buttered — and he’s willing to tolerate the knife, no matter how sharp and pointy it may be. Brown, an established veteran, felt no compulsion to go along to get along; indeed, it became his pretext for a power play aimed at getting out of Pittsburgh and Terrell Edmunds Jersey White , ultimately, getting more than $30 million in guaranteed money over the next two years. It’s also obvious that Roethlisberger’s reliance on Washington’s reaction to the same behavior has become a not-so-subtle tool for making Brown seem unreasonable for reacting the way he did. So it’s not that Roethlisberger crossed a line, even though he did. It’s about the guy on the receiving end of the criticism not being able to realize that he should be saying “thank you” not “f–k you” in response.

The ground game disappeared, and the defense wearied on a 90-degree afternoon as the Oakland Raiders hogged the ball. But Miami coach Adam Gase took advantage of speedy receivers Albert Wilson and Jakeem Grant with creative play-calling, and the Dolphins overcame a 10-point deficit in the final 16 minutes Sunday to beat winless Oakland 28-20 ."Sometimes it's not going to be pretty," quarterback Ryan Tannehill said. "You have to have the grit and togetherness to stick it through and find a way to win."The surprising Dolphins (3-0) have done that every week so far, setting up an early-season AFC East showdown Sunday at New England. Here are things to know about Miami's latest win:EXOTICS: Wilson and Grant scored on jet sweeps, with each taking a short toss from Tannehill in the backfield and turning the corner into the clear. But the best bit of trickery was Wilson's pass — the first of his NFL career — to Grant for a 52-yard score that put Miami ahead to stay. The source of the play? Gase's mentor, former St. Louis Rams coach Mike Martz."Just straight thievery," Gase said. "I mean we stole it. It's an old Martz play. Nobody watches his old stuff. Running back Marshawn Lynch, who rarely comments publicly, offered words of encouragement for Oakland fans."Most of our players are playmakers," Lynch said. Akeem Spence was ejected, and William Hayes and Andre Branch suffered knee injuries. That left Miami with only six defensive linemen on a sweltering afternoon."They were gassed," Gase said. "They were fighting, though. Jamal Carter has work to do to make the Denver Broncos roster in 2019. Can he do it?" He was seen as a bit of an athletic freak who could get play both safety and nickle LB, but would need to refine his game to be more than a special teams player at the NFL level. He finished his college career with 165 total tackles (96 solo), 10 PBU, 1.5 TFL and 1 INT, but was only a starter in his final two seasons for the Hurricanes. Jamal Carter ProfileHeight: 6-1| Weight: 215 pounds | Experience: 3 yearsArm length: 31” | Hands: 9 3/8” | 40 yard dash: 4.64Bench press: 23 reps | Vertical jump: 35” | Broad jump: 122 inches20 Yard shuttle: 4.35 seconds (pro-day) | 3-Cone drill: 7.17 seconds (pro-day)The goodJamal Carter was quickly making a name for himself in 2017 as a special teams gunner and and as a backup safety. His main role in 2017 was on special teams where he played 340 total snaps. He only had four games that season where he took more than 10 defensive snaps (games 1, 15, 16 and 17). 2018 looked to be the year when Jamal could cement his status as the #3 safety https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-von-miller-jersey , but then two things happened. The Broncos traded for Su’a Cravens, who essentially fills that same role (#3 Safety/Nickle LB) and Jamal Carter was injured and missed the entire season. Jamal lost a season of development. The badCarter is slow even for a strong safety. He has to rely on play recognition and instinct. If he is in the wrong place on a play, he does not have the speed or the quickness to adjust in time. Jamal is currently battling six other players for safety spots on the 53-man roster: Justin Simmons, Will Parks, Su’a Cravens, Trey Marshall, Dymonte Thomas and Shamarko Thomas. Only Marshall has less NFL experience than Carter. Jamal Carter highlightsJamal Carter’s roster status with the BroncosIt really depends on if the new coaching staff is viewing him as a safety or a LB.If he can play at 220 lbs https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-phillip-lindsay-jersey , he might have the combination of speed (for a LB) and toughness that lands him a spot as a backup ILB. That would essentially make him a LB/S instead of a S/LB. He has the strength and the toughness to be an ILB (or an OLB). The listed roster weights for all of our ILB’s is between 230 and 240 lbs. From the perspective of our ILB group he would have third most defensive snaps in the group behind only Todd Davis and Josey Jewell. Making the 53-man roster as a safety would be a much more difficult task particularly with Cravens penciled in as the S/LB and S. Thomas (who was signed when Carter went to the IR last season) as the special teams ace. The Broncos aren’t going anywhere this season, but they have to feel encouraged about where rookie quarterback Drew Lock can take them in the future.Lock showed some promise today in Denver, largely avoiding mistakes and playing within himself in a 27-17 win over the Lions.Granted, the Lions’ pass defense is bad, and Lock was able to beat them mostly by playing it safe and finding receivers open for short gains. But he threw 33 passes and never threw an interception, was never sacked and never fumbled. That’s encouraging. which is certainly not good enough Phillip Lindsay Jersey White , but they’re 3-1 since Lock took over as the starting quarterback. As for the Lions, the loss dropped them to 3-11-1 on the season. They’re definitely going nowhere this year, but the franchise has already confirmed that General Manager Bob Quinn and coach Matt Patricia will be back next year. The Lions did get another good game from receiver Kenny Golladay, who’s one of the few building blocks for Detroit going forward. In a game between two disappointing teams, the Broncos showed more reasons for optimism.

If Wentz is cleared to return nine months after surgery to repair torn ligaments in his left knee, he’ll present another big challenge for Indy’s young group.“Just being technique and fundamentally sound,” safety Malik Hooker said. “He’s a great quarterback, obviously. Everybody knows that. But at the end of the day, football’s an 11-player game and not one, so we can’t just let one person beat us. We’re going to get out there and do the same thing and improve on the mistakes that we had this week.”There weren’t many mistakes. After the Redskins led the NFL in rushing yards in Week 1, the Colts held them to 65 and made them one-dimensional.Led by rookie linebacker Darius Leonard, who had a game-high 18 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble, the Indy defense also limited Washington (1-1) to six points off quarterback Andrew Luck‘s two interceptions and were at their best when the offense sputtered.“They’re only going to get better Womens Bryce Love Jersey ,” Luck said. “They’re young, they’re fast, they’re athletic, they’re tough. If the Pittsburgh Steelers are serious about moving Antonio Brown via a trade this offseason Womens T. J. Watt Jersey , it would appear he already has his destination picked out if Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice is to be believed. Speaking on 95.7 The Game, the San Francisco equivalent of 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh, Rice confirmed he had spoken to the Steelers star receiver over the weekend and was more then willing to share the details of their private conversation.Asked if Brown had expressed a desire to play in San Francisco, Rice left no doubt about where AB really wanted to play. That being said, Rice acknowledged he has no influence on the 49ers personnel decisions, even if he wishes he did.For those who might question the logic of trading for a player who could be politely described as ‘challenging to manage’, Rice holds no such concerns. While there was a time when Steeler fans considered Brown a great asset to their team, there will be plenty who question how much he can be trusted to contribute in light of the way his season ended this year. I don't know if you have heard, but this off season for the Pittsburgh Steelers has gotten off to a rather tumultuous start. No need to revisit all the hoopla of the last few weeks as it has no bearing on this article. I will say that there has been alot of speculation concerning what the Steelers roster will look like going into next season, especially at the wide receiver positions. That got me reminiscing about all the great receivers who have donned a Steelers uniform. This years tandem of Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith Schuster was the best in the league, but not the best tandem in team history. That distinction still belongs to Hall of Famers Lynn Swann and John Stallworth. When I started to identify the most underrated receivers in team history my mind immediately recalled the 1995 Super Bowl team and their impressive receiver group. They were a diverse collection of talent and they went five deep. That is what made them so special, their depth. There hasn't been a team since that could match it.The group was lead by Pro Bowl stud Yancey Thigpen. Thigpen was the complete package, everything you could want in a receiver. He possessed size JuJu Smith-Schuster Jersey White , speed, strength, and a excellent set of hands. He could over power a defender who attempted to jam him on his release, and he had enough speed to make them pay on the deep ball. Thigpen had a lot in common with Louis Lipps, another talented Steelers receiver who played about a decade earlier. The only thing that hindered them from ranking even higher on the list of Steelers greats was the shoddy play of their quarterbacks. I would have loved to have seen them play with a QB the caliber of Bradshaw or Ben. The other starting receiver was a more fluid situation. It could change from week to week, often based on the opponent and the corresponding game plan. If the team was going to utilize a run heavy scheme, per usual, they would start youngster Charles Johnson due to his superior blocking skills. If the game plan called for a more aerial attack, they would start KR specialist Ernie Mills for his ability to stretch the field.Charles Johnson was the Steelers first round pick in 1994 from Colorado and obviously was expected to be the next Steelers great. While that plan never came to fruition, he was a solid professional who developed into a well rounded receiver. He was the poster child for a player who could do a lot of things well, but no one thing great. Although he was never quite able to justify that first round selection, he was a tough and durable competitor. High character teammate as well. Made more than his share of clutch catches during his Steelers career.Ernie Mills was a former third round selection in 1991 out of Florida who had been a classic underachiever up till the 1995 season. He had always flashed more potential than production, but that season he found his groove. He displayed a nose for the football https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-juju-smith-schuster-jersey , a knack for getting over the top of the defense, and a tendency to find himself open in the endzone. Ernie caught 8 touchdowns on only 39 receptions. That was by far the best season of his career and it couldn't have come at a better time for the Steelers. He never approached those numbers again in his career, but he was a difference maker that season. The fourth receiver on the Steelers depth chart was a third round selection in 1993 out of Georgia named Andre Hastings. He was a possession receiver who did his best work out of the slot. He was an accomplished route runner who excelled on third downs. Not blessed with great speed, he was a shifty runner who racked up yards after the catch. This ability also allowed him to be a effective punt returner. He could have been a WR2 on alot of teams at that time, especially those who relied on a more aerial attack, and he would go on to prove just that later in his career. That season he was the consummate professional and always produced when called upon. His contributions that season should not be overlooked. That is an impressive group of receivers right there, but what makes this group really stand out as the greatest group in Steelers history, maybe league history, is the player who didn't even want to be a receiver. A player so physically talented he could excel at multiple positions on the football field, even if he had never played the positions before in his collegiate career. His name was Kordell Stewart, but everybody called him Slash. He had been drafted in the second round of the 1995 draft out of Colorado as a QB. He had made it known he only wanted to play QB, but consented to being utilized as a multi purpose weapon to attack opposing defense due to his intense desire to see the field. Slash took the NFL by storm. Slash wasn't just a great athlete playing QB. He had a great throwing arm, the size and running ability of a RB Womens James Conner Jersey , and the speed and agility of a WR. The threat of his mere presence on the field scared defensive coordinators to death and opened up the complete playbook for the Steelers. Slash would eventually give way to Kordell as the Steelers honored their promise to play him at QB, but I have often wondered what would have happened if he would have stayed at WR, or as the one and only Slash. n utter disappointment for our beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and all of Steelers Nation. I will forever hold a certain level of disdain for one Mr. Neil O'Donnell and picture him in my mind sitting in a secluded cabin somewhere deep in the woods, laughing fiendishly, all the while tossing obscene amounts of money into the air he received from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. I apologize for getting off point, forgive me. The pain is real, brothers and sisters.I believe the 1995 Pittsburgh Steelers assembly of wide receivers is the best in team history and is underrated and underappreciated. They may just be the best group ever. What do you think? If not, who do you think was better?

Overall, the class could help the franchise turn the corner in the post-Peyton Manning era.The class included starters in Bradley Chubb and Courtland Sutton, along with major rookie role players in Royce Freeman, Josey Jewell, and DaeSean Hamilton. Both Sam Jones and Isaac Yiadom could have potential as well. That’s a pretty damn good draft.2018 Denver Broncos Draft ClassRoundPickPlayerPositionSchoolInfoHighlightsRoundPickPlayerPositionSchoolInfoHighlightsMel Kiper of ESPN had initially graded the class fairly well, but even that deserved an upgraded in his eyes. He moved his grade to an A- after reviewing the entire class and noting the impact undrafted rookie Phillip Lindsay had. I’ll take an A. Well, for the Broncos, it was another rough showing for their offense. It was a choppy practice by the Broncos offense which included interceptions, drops, and just overall bad play from them. This has been something that has happened off and on throughout camp and it reared its ugly head again during today’s practice.Offensive Coordinator Rich Scangarello said after practice that he thought it was a “very choppy practice” and that they were beat upfront a bit by the niners defensive front. Scangarello told reporters after practice that the offense must meet the 49ers defense intensity and adapt and adjust. Quarterback Joe Flacco told reporters after practice that he and the offense allowed the 49ers defense to set the tone and that they could never get it back. The Broncos will have one more joint practice against the 49ers later today before their Monday night game. Hopefully for the Broncos and their offense, it goes much better than it did during today’s practice.
