Minnesota did not release the specifics of the deal, but various reports peg the terms of the contract at three years and $84 million, fully guaranteed. It’s a game-changer for the Vikings, who haven’t had a 4,000-yard passer since Brett Favre in 2009. Cousins has thrown for more than 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns in each of the past three seasons.Case Keenum started for the Vikings last season after Sam Bradford aggravated a knee injury in Week 1, throwing for 3,547 yards and 22 touchdowns with seven interceptions while leading the Vikings to the NFC Championship game.Bradford became the Vikings’ starter after former first-round pick Teddy Bridgewater suffered a devastating knee injury prior to the 2016 season. All three quarterbacks now have new homes.Bradford will reportedly with the Arizona Cardinals, Bridgewater is headed to the New York Jets and Case Keenum has signed with the Denver Broncos.Originally drafted by the Washington Redskins in 2012 to back up Robert Griffin III, Cousins appeared to be Washington’s future after Griffin’s career went off the rails. He spent six seasons with Washington https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-terry-mclaurin-jersey , making 60 appearances and racking up 16,206 passing yards, 99 touchdowns while registering a 65.5 completion percentage and a 93.7 quarterback rating. and that meant the second round of games in its inaugural season could go on as planned. For the second straight week, Arizona wide receiver Rashad Ross was among the stars. He caught four passes for 67 yards and a touchdown a week after grabbing five passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns in the Hotshots’ season-opening win. He’s second in receiving yards to fellow former NFL receiver Charles Johnson and said this week that he hopes his success in the new league can get him back to the big one.“My ultimate goal is to get back in the NFL. … I want that chance again to show I still have the talent, still have the speed and still have the hands to be in the NFL,” Ross said, via NBC Sports Washington.Ross played 15 games with Chicago and Washington between 2014 and 2016 and caught nine passes for 192 yards and a touchdown. If he’s able to continue thriving in the AAF, he could get a chance to add to those totals.

While many pour over endless mock drafts looking at specific prospects with a fine toothed comb, others prefer to just look at positional needs. For the Pittsburgh Steelers and their fan base https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-terrell-edmunds-jersey , it has essentially been a question of which position is a top need for the black-and-gold. Inside linebacker?Cornerback?Wide Receiver?Recently SB Nation’s FanPulse asked Steelers fans what they thought, and the response was pretty obvious. 61% of voters saw the inside linebacker position as the biggest need for the Steelers moving forward, with cornerback coming behind in second. What might have been the most shocking when looking at the results of this survey were how few fans thought wide receiver was the team’s biggest need. I get how the thought of wide receiver trumping inside linebacker, a position of need since Ryan Shazier’s traumatic injury in 2017, might sound odd, but the team is now having to replace Antonio Brown’s 15 touchdown receptions he hauled in 2018.Everyone has their guess as to who, or what position Womens Terrell Edmunds Jersey , the Steelers will target in the first round of the draft, but their free agent acquisitions of Donte Moncrief, Mark Barron and Steven Nelson have given them a tremendous amount of flexibility on their roster. In other words, they aren’t pigeon-holed into staring at one position or prospect, but can see what their board looks like when it is their turn to pick 20th overall. That is, if they remain at 20th and don’t trade out of that spot, but that is another story altogether. What say you? What is the Steelers’ biggest need heading into the draft tonight? Let us know by voting in the poll below Womens James Conner Jersey , and letting us know why you voted which way in the comment section below! Ben Roethlisberger is sorry for publicly calling out teammates. Unless he isn’t.Roethlisberger’s recent to Michele Tafoya of NBC carried with it a caveat that makes it seem like Ben isn’t really sorry at all.“I wish I wouldn’t have done it,” Roethlisberger said regarding his decision to use his weekly radio show as a platform for criticizing a route that Antonio Brown ran late in a key loss to the Broncos. “Because obviously we saw what happened, and obviously it ruined a friendship and just got caught up in the emotion, the heat of the battle. But the other person I challenged that game was [receiver] James Washington. And I know people made a big deal about that. But James Washington texted, called me, and talked to me in person and thank[ed] me for that. And so the outside world was killing me for it, he thanked me and that’s all that really mattered.”So why didn’t Brown react the same way?“You’ll have to ask him T. J. Watt Jersey White ,” Roethlisberger told Tafoya. “I’m not sure.” Washington, a rookie, knows how his bread is buttered — and he’s willing to tolerate the knife, no matter how sharp and pointy it may be. Brown, an established veteran, felt no compulsion to go along to get along; indeed, it became his pretext for a power play aimed at getting out of Pittsburgh and Terrell Edmunds Jersey White , ultimately, getting more than $30 million in guaranteed money over the next two years. It’s also obvious that Roethlisberger’s reliance on Washington’s reaction to the same behavior has become a not-so-subtle tool for making Brown seem unreasonable for reacting the way he did. So it’s not that Roethlisberger crossed a line, even though he did. It’s about the guy on the receiving end of the criticism not being able to realize that he should be saying “thank you” not “f–k you” in response.

The ground game disappeared, and the defense wearied on a 90-degree afternoon as the Oakland Raiders hogged the ball. But Miami coach Adam Gase took advantage of speedy receivers Albert Wilson and Jakeem Grant with creative play-calling, and the Dolphins overcame a 10-point deficit in the final 16 minutes Sunday to beat winless Oakland 28-20 ."Sometimes it's not going to be pretty," quarterback Ryan Tannehill said. "You have to have the grit and togetherness to stick it through and find a way to win."The surprising Dolphins (3-0) have done that every week so far, setting up an early-season AFC East showdown Sunday at New England. Here are things to know about Miami's latest win:EXOTICS: Wilson and Grant scored on jet sweeps, with each taking a short toss from Tannehill in the backfield and turning the corner into the clear. But the best bit of trickery was Wilson's pass — the first of his NFL career — to Grant for a 52-yard score that put Miami ahead to stay. The source of the play? Gase's mentor, former St. Louis Rams coach Mike Martz."Just straight thievery," Gase said. "I mean we stole it. It's an old Martz play. Nobody watches his old stuff. Running back Marshawn Lynch, who rarely comments publicly, offered words of encouragement for Oakland fans."Most of our players are playmakers," Lynch said. Akeem Spence was ejected, and William Hayes and Andre Branch suffered knee injuries. That left Miami with only six defensive linemen on a sweltering afternoon."They were gassed," Gase said. "They were fighting, though. Jamal Carter has work to do to make the Denver Broncos roster in 2019. Can he do it?" He was seen as a bit of an athletic freak who could get play both safety and nickle LB, but would need to refine his game to be more than a special teams player at the NFL level. He finished his college career with 165 total tackles (96 solo), 10 PBU, 1.5 TFL and 1 INT, but was only a starter in his final two seasons for the Hurricanes. Jamal Carter ProfileHeight: 6-1| Weight: 215 pounds | Experience: 3 yearsArm length: 31” | Hands: 9 3/8” | 40 yard dash: 4.64Bench press: 23 reps | Vertical jump: 35” | Broad jump: 122 inches20 Yard shuttle: 4.35 seconds (pro-day) | 3-Cone drill: 7.17 seconds (pro-day)The goodJamal Carter was quickly making a name for himself in 2017 as a special teams gunner and and as a backup safety. His main role in 2017 was on special teams where he played 340 total snaps. He only had four games that season where he took more than 10 defensive snaps (games 1, 15, 16 and 17). 2018 looked to be the year when Jamal could cement his status as the #3 safety https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-von-miller-jersey , but then two things happened. The Broncos traded for Su’a Cravens, who essentially fills that same role (#3 Safety/Nickle LB) and Jamal Carter was injured and missed the entire season. Jamal lost a season of development. The badCarter is slow even for a strong safety. He has to rely on play recognition and instinct. If he is in the wrong place on a play, he does not have the speed or the quickness to adjust in time. Jamal is currently battling six other players for safety spots on the 53-man roster: Justin Simmons, Will Parks, Su’a Cravens, Trey Marshall, Dymonte Thomas and Shamarko Thomas. Only Marshall has less NFL experience than Carter. Jamal Carter highlightsJamal Carter’s roster status with the BroncosIt really depends on if the new coaching staff is viewing him as a safety or a LB.If he can play at 220 lbs https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-phillip-lindsay-jersey , he might have the combination of speed (for a LB) and toughness that lands him a spot as a backup ILB. That would essentially make him a LB/S instead of a S/LB. He has the strength and the toughness to be an ILB (or an OLB). The listed roster weights for all of our ILB’s is between 230 and 240 lbs. From the perspective of our ILB group he would have third most defensive snaps in the group behind only Todd Davis and Josey Jewell. Making the 53-man roster as a safety would be a much more difficult task particularly with Cravens penciled in as the S/LB and S. Thomas (who was signed when Carter went to the IR last season) as the special teams ace. The Broncos aren’t going anywhere this season, but they have to feel encouraged about where rookie quarterback Drew Lock can take them in the future.Lock showed some promise today in Denver, largely avoiding mistakes and playing within himself in a 27-17 win over the Lions.Granted, the Lions’ pass defense is bad, and Lock was able to beat them mostly by playing it safe and finding receivers open for short gains. But he threw 33 passes and never threw an interception, was never sacked and never fumbled. That’s encouraging. which is certainly not good enough Phillip Lindsay Jersey White , but they’re 3-1 since Lock took over as the starting quarterback. As for the Lions, the loss dropped them to 3-11-1 on the season. They’re definitely going nowhere this year, but the franchise has already confirmed that General Manager Bob Quinn and coach Matt Patricia will be back next year. The Lions did get another good game from receiver Kenny Golladay, who’s one of the few building blocks for Detroit going forward. In a game between two disappointing teams, the Broncos showed more reasons for optimism.

If Wentz is cleared to return nine months after surgery to repair torn ligaments in his left knee, he’ll present another big challenge for Indy’s young group.“Just being technique and fundamentally sound,” safety Malik Hooker said. “He’s a great quarterback, obviously. Everybody knows that. But at the end of the day, football’s an 11-player game and not one, so we can’t just let one person beat us. We’re going to get out there and do the same thing and improve on the mistakes that we had this week.”There weren’t many mistakes. After the Redskins led the NFL in rushing yards in Week 1, the Colts held them to 65 and made them one-dimensional.Led by rookie linebacker Darius Leonard, who had a game-high 18 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble, the Indy defense also limited Washington (1-1) to six points off quarterback Andrew Luck‘s two interceptions and were at their best when the offense sputtered.“They’re only going to get better Womens Bryce Love Jersey ,” Luck said. “They’re young, they’re fast, they’re athletic, they’re tough. If the Pittsburgh Steelers are serious about moving Antonio Brown via a trade this offseason Womens T. J. Watt Jersey , it would appear he already has his destination picked out if Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice is to be believed. Speaking on 95.7 The Game, the San Francisco equivalent of 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh, Rice confirmed he had spoken to the Steelers star receiver over the weekend and was more then willing to share the details of their private conversation.Asked if Brown had expressed a desire to play in San Francisco, Rice left no doubt about where AB really wanted to play. That being said, Rice acknowledged he has no influence on the 49ers personnel decisions, even if he wishes he did.For those who might question the logic of trading for a player who could be politely described as ‘challenging to manage’, Rice holds no such concerns. While there was a time when Steeler fans considered Brown a great asset to their team, there will be plenty who question how much he can be trusted to contribute in light of the way his season ended this year. I don't know if you have heard, but this off season for the Pittsburgh Steelers has gotten off to a rather tumultuous start. No need to revisit all the hoopla of the last few weeks as it has no bearing on this article. I will say that there has been alot of speculation concerning what the Steelers roster will look like going into next season, especially at the wide receiver positions. That got me reminiscing about all the great receivers who have donned a Steelers uniform. This years tandem of Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith Schuster was the best in the league, but not the best tandem in team history. That distinction still belongs to Hall of Famers Lynn Swann and John Stallworth. When I started to identify the most underrated receivers in team history my mind immediately recalled the 1995 Super Bowl team and their impressive receiver group. They were a diverse collection of talent and they went five deep. That is what made them so special, their depth. There hasn't been a team since that could match it.The group was lead by Pro Bowl stud Yancey Thigpen. Thigpen was the complete package, everything you could want in a receiver. He possessed size JuJu Smith-Schuster Jersey White , speed, strength, and a excellent set of hands. He could over power a defender who attempted to jam him on his release, and he had enough speed to make them pay on the deep ball. Thigpen had a lot in common with Louis Lipps, another talented Steelers receiver who played about a decade earlier. The only thing that hindered them from ranking even higher on the list of Steelers greats was the shoddy play of their quarterbacks. I would have loved to have seen them play with a QB the caliber of Bradshaw or Ben. The other starting receiver was a more fluid situation. It could change from week to week, often based on the opponent and the corresponding game plan. If the team was going to utilize a run heavy scheme, per usual, they would start youngster Charles Johnson due to his superior blocking skills. If the game plan called for a more aerial attack, they would start KR specialist Ernie Mills for his ability to stretch the field.Charles Johnson was the Steelers first round pick in 1994 from Colorado and obviously was expected to be the next Steelers great. While that plan never came to fruition, he was a solid professional who developed into a well rounded receiver. He was the poster child for a player who could do a lot of things well, but no one thing great. Although he was never quite able to justify that first round selection, he was a tough and durable competitor. High character teammate as well. Made more than his share of clutch catches during his Steelers career.Ernie Mills was a former third round selection in 1991 out of Florida who had been a classic underachiever up till the 1995 season. He had always flashed more potential than production, but that season he found his groove. He displayed a nose for the football https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-juju-smith-schuster-jersey , a knack for getting over the top of the defense, and a tendency to find himself open in the endzone. Ernie caught 8 touchdowns on only 39 receptions. That was by far the best season of his career and it couldn't have come at a better time for the Steelers. He never approached those numbers again in his career, but he was a difference maker that season. The fourth receiver on the Steelers depth chart was a third round selection in 1993 out of Georgia named Andre Hastings. He was a possession receiver who did his best work out of the slot. He was an accomplished route runner who excelled on third downs. Not blessed with great speed, he was a shifty runner who racked up yards after the catch. This ability also allowed him to be a effective punt returner. He could have been a WR2 on alot of teams at that time, especially those who relied on a more aerial attack, and he would go on to prove just that later in his career. That season he was the consummate professional and always produced when called upon. His contributions that season should not be overlooked. That is an impressive group of receivers right there, but what makes this group really stand out as the greatest group in Steelers history, maybe league history, is the player who didn't even want to be a receiver. A player so physically talented he could excel at multiple positions on the football field, even if he had never played the positions before in his collegiate career. His name was Kordell Stewart, but everybody called him Slash. He had been drafted in the second round of the 1995 draft out of Colorado as a QB. He had made it known he only wanted to play QB, but consented to being utilized as a multi purpose weapon to attack opposing defense due to his intense desire to see the field. Slash took the NFL by storm. Slash wasn't just a great athlete playing QB. He had a great throwing arm, the size and running ability of a RB Womens James Conner Jersey , and the speed and agility of a WR. The threat of his mere presence on the field scared defensive coordinators to death and opened up the complete playbook for the Steelers. Slash would eventually give way to Kordell as the Steelers honored their promise to play him at QB, but I have often wondered what would have happened if he would have stayed at WR, or as the one and only Slash. n utter disappointment for our beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and all of Steelers Nation. I will forever hold a certain level of disdain for one Mr. Neil O'Donnell and picture him in my mind sitting in a secluded cabin somewhere deep in the woods, laughing fiendishly, all the while tossing obscene amounts of money into the air he received from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. I apologize for getting off point, forgive me. The pain is real, brothers and sisters.I believe the 1995 Pittsburgh Steelers assembly of wide receivers is the best in team history and is underrated and underappreciated. They may just be the best group ever. What do you think? If not, who do you think was better?

Well, for the Broncos, it was another rough showing for their offense. It was a choppy practice by the Broncos offense which included interceptions, drops, and just overall bad play from them. This has been something that has happened off and on throughout camp and it reared its ugly head again during today’s practice.Offensive Coordinator Rich Scangarello said after practice that he thought it was a “very choppy practice” and that they were beat upfront a bit by the niners defensive front. Scangarello told reporters after practice that the offense must meet the 49ers defense intensity and adapt and adjust. Quarterback Joe Flacco told reporters after practice that he and the offense allowed the 49ers defense to set the tone and that they could never get it back. The Broncos will have one more joint practice against the 49ers later today before their Monday night game. Hopefully for the Broncos and their offense, it goes much better than it did during today’s practice. RICHMOND https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-dwayne-haskins-jersey , Va. (AP)Jonathan Allen knows Daron Payne can play through pain, but is glad his former Alabama teammate doesn’t have to with the Washington Redskins.Payne injured his left ankle when he was stepped on in practice, and coach Jay Gruden said the first-round pick is expected to miss two to three weeks. This is the second consecutive year the Redskins have had a defensive lineman they drafted in the first round from Alabama go down with a foot injury after Allen had his rookie season cut short five games in because of a Lisfranc sprain.”I feel like it’s going to be tough for him mentally just because he’s still `Bama-nized’ and he still thinks he has to push through everything,” Allen said Saturday. ”But at the same time I’m like, `Payne, we’ve got to get you ready for the opening game, so just take it day-by-day, work your butt off and do what you’ve got to do to get back.”’Payne shrugged off questions after practice Friday when he got rolled up on but wasn’t on the field 24 hours later and wearing a walking boot. Gruden said Payne would be in the boot for about a week and downplayed the injury’s effect on the 13th overall pick ‘s acclimation process to the NFL.”He’s in great shape,” Gruden said. ”He’s big, strong, physical. He’ll probably get stronger in his two weeks working out. He’s in great shape, so it’s not a big deal. He’s already very smart, knows the defense, so he’s in great shape.”It’s still not a great development for the Redskins, who easily could plug in Payne as their starting nose tackle when the season begins. But because he and Payne no longer play at Alabama where players are counted on to gut out injuries, Allen isn’t worried about the missed time stunting Payne’s development.”He’s definitely going to try to rush it back, try to get out there as quickly as possible, but he’s going to be fine,” Allen said. ”Trust me. I have no doubt in my mind.”The two-to-three-week timeframe means Payne will likely miss the preseason opener Aug. 9 at the New England Patriots and possibly the second exhibition game Aug. 16 against the New York Jets. Washington still has good depth on the defensive line with Allen, Ziggy Hood, Anthony Lanier Womens Dwayne Haskins Jersey , Matt Ioannidis and Phil Taylor, and the injuries to Payne and Stacy McGee (core muscle surgery) open the door for fifth-round pick Tim Settle to show what he can do and earn a spot in the rotation.”That means there’s more reps,” Settle said. ”I just want to show them that I can ball and I can hang in there with everybody else.”NOTES: CB Orlando Scandrick was held out of practice because of back spasms. … WR Josh Doctson said there was nothing to an Achilles tendon MRI he had before camp, calling it a ”tuneup.” The 2016 first-round pick has been bothered by Achilles tendon soreness off and on through his first two seasons.— ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — The Washington Redskins‘ constantly changing personnel reminded cornerback Josh Norman of a game show."It's like watching ‘Jeopardy,'" Norman said as players cleaned out their lockers on Monday. "You watch ‘Jeopardy?' When you watch it, do you see the same people?"There were plenty of new and unfamiliar faces for Washington this season. Despite racing out to a 6-3 start behind a strong defense and the steady play of quarterback Alex Smith, the Redskins eventually placed a league-high 24 players on injured reserve — including Smith and his backup, Colt McCoy, both of whom suffered broken legs — while losing six of their final seven games to finish 7-9 for the second straight season. Coach Jay Gruden said as of Monday afternoon, he had not yet talked to owner Dan Snyder or anyone else in the organization about his future or the jobs of his coaching staff."When you're 7-9, whether you have injuries or not, it's not good enough for this franchise," Gruden said. "Mr. Snyder demands greatness from his staff and his players and we didn't deliver."Gruden said he didn't want to use injuries as an excuse, but added that it was "impossible" to fully evaluate his players, particularly at quarterback, where the Redskins had four different starters. They finished the season with Josh Johnson, who had last started an NFL game in 2011.Washington has missed the playoffs in three consecutive seasons and in four of Gruden's five years in charge. Gruden is the longest-tenured coach since Snyder bought the team in 1997, compiling a 35-44-1 record.Uncertainty surrounds veterans Norman, Jamison Crowder, Jordan Reed Dwayne Haskins Jersey White , Mason Foster, Zach Brown and Adrian Peterson, among others.Peterson, the 33-year-old running back picked up on Aug. 20 to help ease the loss of second-round draft pick Derrius Guice to injury, was one of the bright spots for the Redskins. He led the team with 1,042 yards rushing and seven touchdowns."I only can control the things I can control and I felt like I've done that somewhat, so I'll sit back and let the chips fall where they may," Peterson said about his future. As for Smith, there's no guarantee the 34-year-old quarterback will ever play again after he suffered a compound fracture that required multiple surgeries and a long hospital stay to fight off an infection. The Redskins acquired Smith in a trade with Kansas City after allowing Kirk Cousins to leave in free agency."We're obviously hopeful he can turn a corner and start the rehab process and possibly get back on the field," Gruden said. "That's all we can hope for right now."Team president Bruce Allen infamously said after the 2014 season the Redskins were "winning off the field." They had their fair share of problems once again in that department. The Redskins, who are 59-84-1 in Allen's nine years on the job, finally acknowledged the end of their decades-long sellout streak as crowds continued to dwindle at FedEx Field.  singing free agent Reuben Foster following his arrest for domestic violence, placed second year safety Montae Nicholson on the non-football injury reserve list following a late-season arrest, released Pro Bowl alternate D.J. Swearinger on Christmas Eve after Swearinger repeatedly complained about defensive coordinator Greg Manusky, and fired several business executives on Dec. 26 after less than a year on the job.Somehow, Washington was still in playoff contention until a Week 16 loss at Tennessee. The Redskins concluded the season with a 24-0 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles that felt like a road game as traveling Philly fans nearly filled up the lower bowl at FedEx Field. As to Norman's future with the team as a player — or contestant, as he put it — the once-coveted cornerback felt that he was better than his three interceptions showed."Whenever they decide to have a meeting, we'll see," Norman said. "I think it's one of my best seasons yet, and we don't grow on trees. So we'll see what happens."

The Steelers have traded a first-round pick and second round picks in 2019 and a third round pick in 2020 to the Broncos to move up 10 spots in round one this year."The Pittsburgh Steelers have not made 10 selections in a draft since 2010 and despite holding that same number of picks for the 2019 NFL Draft when it began on Thursday night https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-juju-smith-schuster-jersey , they will not match that feat again this year after agreeing to a trade with the Denver Broncos. The Steelers sent their first-round pick (No.20), second-round pick (No.52) and a third-round pick in 2020 to the Broncos in return for their first-round pick (No.10), a selection they used on Michigan linebacker Devin Bush. For those playing close attention, Kevin Colbert alluded to the team’s interest in trading up when talking to Missi Mathews of Steelers.com earlier in the week. Noting that having 10 picks was something of a luxury and that a move up would still leave Pittsburgh with eight selections, it was a clear sign that the Steelers would seriously consider trading up this year. And while Colbert revealed during his annual pre-draft press conference on Monday that Pittsburgh does not use a chart to assess the value of a trade like many teams do, based on the current popular version of the chart created by the Dallas Cowboys in the 90’s, the Steelers appear to have made a fairly equitable deal based on the numbers. The last time Pittsburgh moved up in the first-round of the draft was back in 2006 when they traded their first, third and fourth round picks to move up from No.32 to No.25 to select wide receiver Santonio Holmes. The only other first-round trade in the Colbert era came in 2003 when the Steelers traded their first, third and sixth round picks to move up from No.27 to No.16 to select Troy Polamalu. The Steelers still have nine picks remaining in the 2019 NFL Draft:2019 NFL Mock Draft: Steelers finally find their Ryan Shazier replacement Yes, it's time for the first mock draft of the season. Is it early? Absolutely it is Womens James Conner Jersey , but that doesn't mean we can't start mocking a bit as we get a definition of how college players are playing and what the Steelers need in general. Thus, it is time to delve into one of my top-10 prospects of the early season. For the one- round mock I have here, we will assume the Steelers have the 13th pick, as per the rankings currently. It's unlikely this will be the same after the season ends, but regardless it's the best we can do currently. Now, as we've seen during the first four weeks of the season, this pick has to be on defense. Yes, I know, another first-rounder spent on a defender. Unless Ben Roethlisberger retires, there's no chance I'm spending a first-round pick on an offensive player T. J. Watt Jersey , especially not a running back. I would rather address RB through free agency with a guy like Tevin Colemen or, since it's now reported the Transition Tag is going on Le’Veon Bell, he might just be back with the team on a long-term deal. This leaves me with three options: Cornerback, Inside Linebacker, or EDGE. I can make a good argument for any of these three, but I have a certain sense the team really wants to shore-up the middle of the defense. I have the young, promising Matthew Thomas, and the overachieving Jon Bostic, but I'd like one of them to be a backup along with Vince Williams. Creating a four-headed attack at ILB in which I can rotate the guys I want on the field at will is something I'm all for. Thus, I'm going for that key game-changer at ILB. Steelers fans Jerome Bettis Jersey White , meet Mack Wilson.Round 1: Mack Wilson. ILB, AlabamaJust to let you guys know, at the beginning of last year. WIlson ran a 4.59 40 and he looks even faster than that on tape. The 6’0’, 230lb (there is no way he is 230 lbs) linebacker is an absolute unit on the field. I introduce you to one of those rare athletic ILB types that can change a defense. If you want an introduction to him, watch him fly off the edge and absolutely blow up this running play. He's an absolute freight train off the edge when he's unblocked like this. If you thought Bud Dupree could fly off the edge when he was unblocked, Mack Wilson puts that to shame. His athleticism isn't just limited to speed, but acceleration and agility too. He's elite in both areas, and you can see that all over his tape. Just take a look at this interception, great acceleration forward and then one of the most athletic interceptions you'll see as he lays out for the catch. You have to give props to Quinnen Williams with a great chop and then the strong rip through right after. Williams himself is a great defensive lineman, and is a strict product of now-Steelers DL coach Karl Dunbar. However James Conner Jersey White , you can see Wilson has extra tight coverage here and he's actually further behind the receiver to the ball, so Wilson has to come forward with burst and make this play. That's just an incredible athletic play. However, my favorite thing about Mack Wilson on that play might be the mental aspect. To make that play requires two key things. One, you have to be able to read the QB and react quickly. Two, it takes top awareness of coverage on your man to make this play. Wilson makes that play possible through mental awareness chiefly. If you want to see the range and reaction this guy has in coverage, look no further than this play. Every time I watch this play I get more and more Ryan Shazier vibes. He's increasingly aggressive with his athleticism and is shot out of a cannon on plays like this. His mental processing needs work on things like play-action but it has improved. Wilson has plays like this all over his film. Once he sees a play, he goes and attacks it and he attacks it aggressively. The hit and reaction once it's released are imperative to making this play. His athleticism helps a ton too, but the mental awareness in coverage is a huge reason why this works. That's something the Steelers seemingly lack at ILB too. The mental aspect in coverage seems to escape them, so this would be a huge add. The way Mack Wilson plays reminds me a little too much of Ryan Shazier. His awareness in coverage, the way he aggressively comes off of the edge Womens Jerome Bettis Jersey , and his run-defense too. Wilson is a great run-defender, and is especially good in fighting off blockers at the second level due to active hands. He just tackled Sony Michel and Nick Chubb with ease too, so that should let you know how sure of a tackler this guy is. But notice how aware he is of the ball carrier and then how he fights straight off of these blocks to make the tackles. This is how you beat a stack block and fill in the line when your DL doesn't get the penetration you want them to get.  but it never hurts to have two of them. When you have two of those ILBs, your run-defense improves exponentially. Even Wilson’s cons mirror Shazier’s when he was coming out. He takes bad angles but they are made up for by his athleticism, and he overpursues into the backfield at times too. Yes, it would be a retread of a young Ryan Shazier, but Mack Wilson is just what this defense needs. You wanna improve this defense? Mack Wilson is the ticket to doing it.

Aaron Rodgers practiced on Monday after sitting out the Packers' second preseason game in Baltimore and being sidelined during practice Sunday with back tightness. But the verdict is still out on whether the two-time MVP will make his preseason debut Thursday night against the Raiders in Canada.Green Bay general manager Brian Gutekunst said the plan is for Rodgers to play. Coach Matt LaFleur said he's still undecided Womens Derek Carr Jersey , and Rodgers said after practice that nothing he'll see against Oakland in Winnipeg will be better or more valuable than what he sees every day against his teammates on the defensive side."The practices are so much more important than the preseason," he said. "The looks that we see on a day like today are invaluable reps. It's an attacking defense, it's different fronts, it's different pressures. Oakland does some different things over the last couple preseasons that stress you at times protection-wise, so it's not as vanilla as you might see in the preseason."But the best reps I'm going to see all summer are in practice. If (coach) Matt (LaFleur) wants us to play, we'll play and go out and compete. If not, I feel pretty good about where we're at."LaFleur, despite having yet to see Rodgers against live competition, said he has all the confidence in the world that the 15-year veteran will be ready when Green Bay opens the season Sept. 5 at Chicago."I don't think it's going to make or break us one way or the other," he said. "... I'm not overly concerned either way whether he plays or not."Gutekunst said Monday before Rodgers took the field that he would like to see the seven-time Pro Bowler "get some of that rust off" before the Packers go into Soldier Field."We'd love to have him out there (on Thursday)," Gutekunst said. "But again, I think he got a lot of practice reps against Houston. I know he wasn't a fan of them, but those two days versus Houston I think were important, to get out there in that environment. So, like I said, I think the plan is to get him out there Thursday night."LaFleur said he and his staff are still deciding how much the first team will play, but he said he has a pretty good idea of what he's going to do.Rodgers was outspoken about his displeasure with the two joint practices with Texans before the teams faced off in their preseason opener. Rodgers, who watched the game from sideline while listening to the offensive communications on a headset, voiced similar displeasure with preseason games on Monday."This is not going to be a growing process from a play-caller-to-quarterback standpoint," he said. "It is what it is. The preseason, you don't carry those wins over to the regular season."I do find it interesting that some teams get a pass this time of year. The Rams don't play anybody and not many people talk about that fact. Now, the counter would be, 'Well, this is a new system.' I get it, but we've spent a number of practices from May and June and training camp in July and now in August running this stuff, running unscripted periods Antonio Brown Raiders Jersey , where he has to call the play in."I feel very comfortable in the offense conceptually, philosophically, enunciating the plays, getting us in the right formation, getting the checks within the play easily figured out. I feel very comfortable with it."Thursday will be the third time the Packers have played a preseason game outside the United States. Green Bay defeated the Bills 35-3 in Toronto on Aug. 16, 1997 and beat Kansas City 27-24 in overtime in Tokyo on Aug. 2, 1998.Notes: LaFleur said TE Jimmy Graham will not require surgery on his injured (unspecified) finger and will be "all right." Graham, who did not practice Monday, left practice early Sunday after suffering the injury during a live team drill. Graham dealt with a broken thumb for much of the last two months of last season. ... WR Trevor Davis and QB Tim Boyle connected on a 40-yard gain against double coverage on Monday. Davis, who is also a kick return specialist, returned to practice Sunday after dealing with a neck stinger he suffered during joint practice with the Texans. "I'm just excited to get him back and to see what he can do on Thursday," LaFleur said of Davis.Keith Jenkins can be reached at https://twitter.com/MrKeithJenkins Tuesday the Raiders begin their mandatory three-day minicamp. Unlike OTA’s where only three out of ten practices are open to the media, all three days of minicamp will be open. It will be nearly identical to how training camp takes place which means several 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 team sessions. I’ll be on hand to bring you all the play-by-play on twitter (@LeviDamien) and the recaps right here. There are three things I will be looking for above all others.Injury returnsThere were six players who weren’t at practice for the final OTA open to the media. They were LB Brandon Marshall, G Denzelle Good, OT Trent Brown, DT P.J. Hall, ED Arden Key, and rookie CB Isaiah Johnson. Their issues could be minor. We don’t really know yet. We will be looking to see who returns to the field for minicamp. In part because you don’t want any serious injuries this time of year — the Raiders already had one, losing running back Isaiah Crowell for the year — and in part because you just want to see the whole team able to prepare as if it were training camp. That is, after all, the whole point of minicamp.Safety dancePaul Guenther is liking the options he has at the safety position these days. Mostly because he has several interchangeable parts he can move around. OTA’s began with Karl Joseph and Erik Harris running with the first team at the safety spots and Lamarcus Joyner manning the nickel corner spot. Second team safeties were rookie first round pick Johnathan Abram and free agent addition Curtis Riley. Guenther’s defense doesn’t have strictly a free/strong safety situation. He could have Abram earmarked for the starting safety spot. If so, it’s a matter of when and who drops to second team. It would appear the first team safeties figure to be Abram at strong safety and Karl Joseph at free safety. We should soon see how that all shakes out.Slot Carr racesAntonio Brown and Tyrell Williams are set as the starters on the outside. The top two options for the slot receiver job are free agent addition Ryan Grant and 5th round draft pick Hunter Renfrow. Who gets the job could depend on how quickly they can develop chemistry with Derek Carr. They’ve had a month and 10 OTA practices to develop that chemistry and get down the playbook. That learning curve will be on display in minicamp and could go a long way to predict how the battle will play out in training camp as well.Follow @LeviDamien

Derek Carr completed 22 of 26 passes for 259 yards and a touchdown https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-phillip-lindsay-jersey , and Josh Jacobs added 113 yards of total offense and two touchdowns to carry the Oakland Raiders to a 24-16 victory over the Denver Broncos on Monday night. The Raiders scored on their opening drive of the game and never looked back. Carr connected with Tyrell Williams for an 8-yard touchdown to cap a 10-play, 72-yard drive to give the Raiders a 7-0 lead. Josh Jacobs would make it a two-score game on a 2-yard touchdown late in the first half as Oakland took a 14-0 lead into halftime.Denver got on the board on their first drive of the second half with a 26-yard Brandon McManus field goal. However, DaeSean Hamilton dropped a touchdown catch that would have cut the lead to 14-10 late in the third quarter. Instead, the Broncos settled for another 26-yard McManus field goal to make it a 14-6 game.Oakland would immediately respond with a 60-yard drive capped by Jacobs’ second touchdown run, a 4-yard carry, to extend the lead to 21-6.Denver saw another drive inside the Raiders’ red zone come up short as Joe Flacco was sacked on a third-and-2 from the 14-yard line before electing to take a 39-yard McManus field goal with 8:39 remaining to make it 21-9.Daniel Carlson would add a 29-yard field goal with 4:38 remaining to give Oakland a 24-9 advantage before the Broncos finally reached the end zone. Emmanuel Sanders caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Flacco to conclude an eight-play, 75-yard drive. The score trimmed the lead to 24-16 with 2:15 left to play.Flacco completed 21 of 31 passes for 269 yards and a touchdown but was sacked three times. Carr was not sacked once.Courtland Sutton caught seven passes for 120 yards with Sanders adding 86 yards on five catches for Denver. However, the Broncos would keep deep to Oakland and never get the ball back after a wide receiver screen to Williams and a 13-yard carry from Jacobs picked up the first downs the Raiders needed to run out the clock.Williams finished with 105 yards on six catches in his Raiders’ debut. John Ralston Phillip Lindsay Jersey White , a former Broncos head coach whose positive demeanor made him an odd fit in pro football but also landed him in the College Football Hall of Fame, has died at the age of 92.After graduating from high school in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Ralston joined the Marines and served in the South Pacific in World War II. Following the war, he enrolled at Cal and was on a team that played in three consecutive Rose Bowls.Football was his passion, and he went from playing to coaching, first at a high school in the Bay Area and then as an assistant at his alma mater. He got his big break when Utah State hired him as head coach, and he made the most of it: Before he arrived Utah State had never been ranked in the AP poll, and by the end of his third year Utah State was the No. 10 team in the country. He then moved on to Stanford Womens Phillip Lindsay Jersey , and he again made a major impact, building a team that won back-to-back Rose Bowls after the 1970 and 1971 seasons. After that second Rose Bowl, he was hired by the Broncos, leading them, in his second season, to their first winning record in the 14-year-old franchise’s history. Despite some success, he resigned under pressure after a 9-5 season in 1976 when a group of players complained to ownership that his laid-back coaching style wasn’t getting enough out of the team. The next year, the team Ralston helped build went to the Super Bowl.Ralston would later coach the Oakland Invaders of the USFL in the 1980s and San Jose State in the 1990s.As a coach John Elway Jersey White , Ralston took an unconventional approach, delegating most decision making to his assistants and attempting to lead his team through self-help philosophies like the power of positive thinking. So serious was Ralston about self-help that when he left the Broncos, his next job was not in coaching but in teaching a Dale Carnegie course.tactic, but simply John Ralston being his genuine self.“You don’t fake this sort of thing,” he said. “If you put up a false facade of positive thinking, people will see through it. I’m just this way all the time. . . . I’m the team’s No. 1 cheerleader. I make sure I talk to anybody who’s just made a key mistake and tell him not to worry about it.”That kind-hearted approach may explain why Ralston found more success coaching young men in college than grizzled veterans in the NFL, but it’s an approach that made Ralston an admirable coach who won’t be forgotten by his players.

Washington got one of the free-agent steals of the year in 2018 Dwayne Haskins Jersey White , signing running back Adrian Peterson in late August and watching him become the team’s offensive MVP for the season. This time around, they clearly have buyer’s remorse, after giving Peterson a $1.5 million signing bonus and another $1 million in salary to stay with the team and, for now, not using him at all. They may have a bigger issue than wasted money, however, now that news has trickled out that Peterson will be inactive on Sunday against the Eagles. Teammates, per a league source, are even more upset with the decision to not dress Peterson than Peterson is. Regarded by some as the best back in training camp Wes Martin Jersey , the question was supposed to be how many touches Peterson would lose to second-year second rounder Derrius Guice, not whether one of them would be standing on the sidelines in street clothes on game day.And Guice, who tore an ACL in the 2018 preseason, will get his official NFL baptism without the safety net of a top-five left tackle in Trent Williams, who continues to hold out.But as the dysfunctional team continues to do dysfunctional things, they got one thing right: Washington has yet to name team captains for 2019. Last year, the team captains were announced before the season-opening game. This year, if a vote were held before the news that Peterson won’t be dressing on Sunday, he quite possibly would have secured a “C”.He still might do so anyway — if the votes are counted in the same numbers as they are cast. Washington left tackle Trent Williams had a growth removed from his head earlier this offseason and posted video from another medical procedure on Thursday. The video Womens Bryce Love Jersey , which was noted by J.P. Finlay of NBCSportsWashington.com, shows Williams in bed wearing the socks given to patients in medical facilities while two people, one of whom is in scrubs, stand by a table at the foot of the bed.what’s going on, but Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the procedure was scheduled to clean up the area around the scar from his previous surgery. It is not considered a major issue, but it’s unclear what it means for Williams’ return to the field.Williams was not at Washington’s minicamp amid dueling reports that he is unhappy about his contract and that he is unhappy about how the team handled his medical situation. Team president Bruce Allen said he spoke to Williams and knows the truth, but did not share it.

I like the NFL’s decision to allow coaches to challenge plays involving pass interference. What I don’t like is the automatic reviews of such plays inside of two minutes."Rejoice! For the second year in a row James Conner Jersey , a Steelers season that was totally compromised thanks to an official’s blunder was retroactively corrected by a rule change. Actually, they don’t do that in the NFL—in any sports league, really. But one year after making a reception more about common sense and less about “surviving the ground,” the NFL announced last week that pass interference penalties, along with the ones that perhaps should have been called but weren’t, will be subject to replay review. This change, one that is on a one-year probationary period for the 2019 season, was made official at the annual owner’s meeting where the league’s competition committee also gathers each and every spring to bring us new rules that always seem to come a few months too late. In case you haven’t studied the new rule, it will allow coaches to challenge plays where pass interference may or may not have been called. The good part of this rule—in my humble opinion, at least—is there won’t be an extra “Pass Interference Flag” provided for coaches to use in such situations. No. Instead, Mike Tomlin and his colleagues will be forced to burn one of the two challenge flags they get each game for things like catches. Say, it’s early in the first quarter, and the Saints just had an initial drive kept alive by an egregious pass interference call on Joe Haden. Would Tomlin want to use one of his challenge flags right then and there, or would he want to save his challenges for a more critical time later on? It adds an additional element to an already intriguing part of game-day strategy—to challenge, or not to challenge: that is the question.I like it. Hey https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-terrell-edmunds-jersey , you want to challenge pass interference—a rule that is a total judgement call? Fine. To be clear, I think it should be subject to review. Too many games have been altered one way or another because of these total judgement calls. However, the last thing the NFL needs is for EVERY questionable pass interference call—or non-call—to be subject to review. It’s one thing for every defensive back to have to hold his breath after each and every incomplete pass. It’s quite another for the officials to have to do the same...not to mention the fans. And this is where I have a problem with part of the new replay rule for pass interference. Picture this: New Orleans is facing a fourth and two. There are less than two minutes to go in the fourth quarter. If the Steelers hold here, it’s game over. Drew Brees drops back, but his quick pass over the middle is broken up by Joe Haden. You hold your breath. I hold my breath. Is there any yellow coming into view? No. Whew! Sean Payton is out of challenges. Unfortunately, since it’s inside of two minutes, the quick pass over the middle that admitedly was close, is now subject to automatic review by the officials. If the no call is turned into pass interference, well, Pittsburgh’s season is essentially screwed. I know what you’re going to say. Yes, the Steelers may have actually benefited from this exact scenario last December, when Haden was called for pass interference (his second very questionable flag of the day) with precious little time left in the fourth quarter and the Steelers clinging to a four-point lead. Had the automatic booth review already been in place, Pittsburgh may have won this critical Week 16 contest and, ultimately, the AFC North. You may be right Womens Terrell Edmunds Jersey , and I get that. Heck, the entire reason this new rule was put into place has very little to do with the Steelers, and everything to do with the Saints who were royally screwed out of an almost certain Super Bowl berth when the officials kept their flags in their pockets during an egregious pass interference play against the Rams in the waning seconds of the NFL title game. Don’t I want those kinds of calls reversed? Sure I do. However, I don’t want every single incomplete pass subject to review inside of two minutes. Unless I’m missing something here, that is exactly what you could have with this new rule. Again, pass interference is a judgement call. And while some calls—or non-calls—may be egregious, do we really want to sit around and wait for officials to use their best judgement after every pass that may or may not have drawn a flag inside of two minutes? I don’t.NFL, save your automatic reviews for things like catches. As for those pass interference flags that should or shouldn’t have been called, force those coaches to challenge them—even inside of two minutes. PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is modifying his jersey, using a marker to add an “s” to the end of his last name.Safety Sean Davis is mulling a present or two to Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield, promising to send the rookie “a little something something” if the Browns can beat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and open the door for the Steelers to win a third straight AFC North title.“Pray for Cleveland,” Davis said with a smile. “Pray for the Browns.”Article continues below ...First things first, however. The only way the outcome in Baltimore matters to the Steelers is if Pittsburgh (8-6-1) manages to get by reeling Cincinnati (6-9).The two games between the four division rivals will unfold simultaneously, but the veteran Steelers are cautioning it’s unwise to get caught watching the scoreboard and ignoring the play right in front of you.“It’s out of our control,” Pittsburgh guard David DeCastro. “You’re going to feel a lot worse than you do now if you were to go out there and see Baltimore lose and us lose too. It’s definitely deflating (to be in this position). It’s been a long season. We’ve put forth a lot of effort.”Just not enough to stem a late swoon that’s left the Steelers’ postseason chances precarious at best. Pittsburgh has dropped four of five since its 7-2-1 start T. J. Watt Jersey White , all four losses coming during games the Steelers led in the second half, the latest a 31-28 defeat on the road in New Orleans last Sunday that dropped Pittsburgh to second place behind the Ravens. The game followed a troubling pattern for the Steelers. Pittsburgh moved the ball only to make critical mistakes at critical times. The Steelers’ final three possessions against the Saints ended with two fumbles and a fake punt that ended up a half-yard short of a first down.Throw in a pair of questionable pass interference calls against cornerback Joe Haden — both of which set up New Orleans touchdowns — and the Steelers find themselves in danger of missing the postseason for the first time since 2013.“We’re all aware of the situation,” center Maurkice Pouncey said. “We know what we’ve got to do and hopefully it works out.”Any shot at the Bengals returning to the playoffs ended weeks ago, their season undone by injuries — namely to quarterback Andy Dalton and wide receiver A.J. Green — and a defense that ranks as the worst in franchise history. The main question heading into the finale is whether this is head coach Marvin Lewis’ final game. The Bengals haven’t reached the postseason since 2015, though Lewis said he doesn’t believe the outcome on Sunday will have any effect on his future.Players are waiting to see how it shakes out.“People ask me, ‘Is Marvin going to be back?’ — just people out there in the world,” defensive end Jordan Willis said. “And I’m like, ‘I have no idea.’ My dad had to tell me the (defensive) coordinator was fired, and he’s in Kansas City. He called and told me that Teryl Austin was fired. So that just goes to show how much we know and don’t know as players.”THE LONG AND WINDING ROADThe Bengals wrap up one of their most disappointing seasons under Lewis. They started 4-1 and could have taken control of the division by holding on to beat Pittsburgh on Oct. 14, but Brown turned a short pass into a 31-yard touchdown with 10 seconds left for a 28-21 win that started the plummet — eight losses in the past 10 games. After surging ahead of the AFC North to start the season, they’re finishing at the bottom of the division for only the second time under Lewis.“It’s been a roller-coaster season, for sure,” cornerback Darqueze Dennard said. “We definitely thought it would be a different season.”ANOTHER UPSET?The Bengals knocked the rival Ravens out of the playoffs with a 31-27 win in Baltimore last year, opening a spot for Buffalo to make the postseason. Now they’re in position to end Pittsburgh’s season, but there’s a big difference from last year’s finale. Cincinnati has 15 players on injured reserve. Backup quarterback Jeff Driskel completed only 2 of 6 passes for 3 yards in the first half of a 26-18 loss at Cleveland last Sunday Terrell Edmunds Jersey White , an indication of how far they’ve fallen. They’re more focused on simply playing well against the Steelers, who have won seven straight and 10 of 11 in the series.“I don’t think it has much to do with the spoiler role,” quarterback Jeff Driskel said.NUMBERS GAMEBen Roethlisberger can become the first quarterback in franchise history to lead the NFL in passing yards if he maintains his lead over Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes.New Orleans’ Drew Brees in 2014, has 4,842 yards through 15 games, 26 yards ahead of Mahomes.Roethlisberger’s 33 touchdown passes this season are a franchise record, as are his 421 completions. The 36-year-old Roethlisberger — who has flirted with the idea of retirement in the past — plans to return in 2019.DeCastro believes Roethlisberger is throwing the ball as good as ever, adding the quarterback’s prolific output is also part of a collaborative process.“(The receivers) make him better by getting open and we make him better by blocking for him,” DeCastro said. “It all works together. We pride ourselves in having a good offense and caring about team football.”

As we all know Womens Bo Jackson Jersey , the Raiders have three first-round picks in this April’s NFL Draft. The latter two were acquired via trade, but the Raiders’ abysmal 4-12 record secured them the fourth overall pick. The team has plenty of holes to fill on both sides of the ball and Pick #4 brings with it a variety of options to help fill those holes.Of course, much of this depends on where the Raiders decide to focus in free agency, and who they can get to sign with them. If they can get, say, JaDeveon Clowney, then edge rusher becomes less of a priority. The Raiders have lots of money to spend, and their impending move to Las Vegas could be attractive to free agents. But for this list, let’s assume free agency does not exist. How do the various options in this draft stack up?1) Edge RusherThe Raiders traded the best edge rusher in football before the 2018 season, but there are plenty of DE/OLB guys in this draft who could help fill that role and not cost a hundred million dollars. Nick Bosa of Ohio State is the best prospect, but he has had a concerning injury history. Despite that, he’s routinely been mocked to the Cardinals with the top overall selection. His Combine performance and medical report will have a lot to do with how much of a risk he’s perceived to be. Bosa clearly has the bloodline, with brother Joey already a star for the Chargers.Josh Allen, a DE/OLB for the Kentucky Wildcats, is also one of the top guys on the board. He’s the guy who most resembles Khalil Mack with his ability to force turnovers and stop the run and pass equally well. He can also drop back in coverage and has some skills in that regard. Also an option is Clemson DE Clelin Ferrell, who was instrumental in the Tigers’ victory over Alabama in the college football championship game and was a monster all season long. Rashan Gary of Michigan is a physical freak, but wasn’t extremely productive in college. Pairing him with former teammate Maurice Hurst could be an intriguing option for the Raiders.2) Interior DefenderThere are plenty of options here as well. This draft is stacked with quality defensive tackles. Quinnen Williams is the top DT on the board, and some consider him the best player available in the entire draft. He dominated interior offensive linemen all season long and is a physical marvel. Louisville’s Ed Oliver was at one time considered the top player available, but he fell down mock draft boards as the season went on due to some lingering health concerns. Still, he can take on double and triple teams and make an impact.Mississippi State’s Jeffrey Simmons has been climbing draft boards lately, and at 6’4” and 300 pounds he has the ability to disrupt plays in the backfield with his superlative size and speed. I’ve seen him mocked to the Raiders at number 4.3) Trade DownThe nightmare scenario is this, and frankly I think it’s exactly what’s going to happen. Bosa goes first to the Cardinals, Williams goes to the 49ers, and Josh Allen goes to the Jets. What do the Raiders do then? Take an edge guy or a DT who is a reach? Luckily for the Silver and Black, there are several intriguing quarterback options on the board that teams might want to move up for. Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins Bo Jackson Jersey , and Drew Lock are the top guys in what is probably a fairly weak quarterback class. The top four teams in the draft don’t need a QB (unless you are totally off the Derek Carr train), but there are plenty of teams drafting later who do. The Dolphins, Broncos, Giants, Jaguars, and Indigenous Persons could all do with an upgrade. There are only so many blue-chip QB prospects to go around, and someone’s going to want their guy. When Heisman winner Murray eschewed baseball, it threw everything into flux. So, say the Raiders trade down a few spots. They can still get a quality edge rusher like Ferrell or Gary at a much better spot and also pick up a few picks for their trouble. Remember what the Chiefs paid for Patrick Mahomes, and what the Bears paid for Mitch Trubisky. The Broncos are said to be in love with Drew Lock, what if they’re scared of not getting him and being stuck with Case Keenum for another season? What if the Dolphins really want Murray? What if the Jaguars think Haskins is going to the Giants, and want to prevent that from happening? Hell, what if the Buccaneers decide they’re through with Jameis Winston? Even in their nightmare scenario, the Raiders are still in the driver’s seat.4) LinebackerAnd by linebacker, I mean Devin White. I would not be shocked in the least if White comes out and blows away the Combine with his size, speed and instincts. He’s been compared to some of the best linebackers ever, and if the Raiders think he’s the next Ray Lewis then by all means they should take him at fourth overall. It’s not like the team has a long-term answer at middle linebacker.White won’t help the team with edge rushing, but he can be the team’s anchor for a decade as a stopper in the middle. This pick would be far more palatable if the Raiders sign a good defensive end or two in free agency, and also CJ Mosley from the Ravens. Let’s hope the Raiders spend wisely and get their guys on the open market so they are free to be flexible come Draft Day.So, what would you like to see the Raiders do at the fourth pick? The Raiders’ strongest group, the wide receivers https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-antonio-brown-jersey , came in sixth (which might be a little low) but the running backs group came in 17th.This is not a ranking of which team has the best running back, but rather which team has the best group of them overall. The 49ers came in first, with their group of Matt Breida, Jerick McKinnon, Tevin Coleman and fullback Kyle Juszczyk. That’s three guys who are mostly fungible and one of the better fullbacks in football. We don’t know which of the three main backs will carry the load (if any), but since the Niners have basically nothing at WR (with apologies to Deebo Samuel) we know they will run a lot.In second place is the Patriots with their stable of Sony Michel, James White, Damien Harris, Rex Burkhead and James Develin. Good luck getting any fantasy production out of this group, because Bill Belichick picks one of them at random to get 20 carries each game and for all we know he’ll bring back Jonas Gray and he’ll get five touchdowns in Week 1.The Raiders’ running backs group, ranked 17, is listed as Josh Jacobs, Jalen Richard, DeAndre Washington and Doug Martin. When you look at the other running back groups, this one compares favorably, particularly if Chris Warren steps up and seizes a role in the rotation. Josh Jacobs has a ton of potential as a feature back and Doug Martin has a fairly high floor in the Raiders’ system as he performed well when given a major role in the offense last year.Oakland is sandwiched between the Jets at 16 with Le’veon Bell and a bunch of scrubs (although since that piece was written they’ve resigned Bilal Powell) and the Lions at 18 with Kerryon Johnson and pass-catching savant Theo Riddick.  their ranking here if Josh Jacobs turns out to be as good as the coaching staff thinks he will be and if Warren displays some of the form that got Raider Nation so excited about him in the 2018 preseason, though it’s hard to count on things we haven’t seen in the NFL regular season. Also, a lot of the running back group’s success will depend on the offensive line’s blocking, so hopefully we see some improvement and good health from Kolton Miller and the nasty blocking Oakland is banking on from Richie Incognito and Trent Brown. We know the Raiders will pass a lot with all their shiny new receiver toys, but a solid running game could open up the downfield offense even more. If, as this ranking suggests, the Raiders have even an average running game, the offense will be incredibly hard to stop on a consistent basis.

Von Miller‘s habit of organizing pass rushers for an annual effort to compare notes in order to better terrorize quarterbacks could make things awkward when opposing pass rushers use tips gleaned from the gathering to sack Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco. But as Chris Simms and I discussed the dynamic on Monday’s Womens Von Miller Jersey , an obvious idea emerged.Other position groups should do the same thing.Whether it’s offensive linemen, defensive backs, receivers, quarterbacks, etc., Miller’s decision to share trade secrets with other defensive linemen who make a living trying to stop offensive players from making a living opens the door for everyone else to do the same thing. It’s a byproduct of NFL free agency. Before players could move with some degree of freedom between teams (in the old days, they changed teams only when their current teams wanted them to), players who played on different teams regarded others as strangers at best, enemies at worst. It’s now a much different world, and if pass rushers are going to exploit relationships sparked by the fact that the players previously have played together or the vague possibility that they will play together in the future, other position groups need to follow suit. Broncos head coach Vic Fangio has coached in the NFL for 33 years, but he hasn’t seen many injuries like the one tight end Noah Fant suffered.Fant missed today’s practice with a foot injury https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-von-miller-jersey , and Fangio revealed afterward that Fant suffered the injury yesterday while removing tape from his ankle after practice. Fant cut his foot in the process, and wasn’t able to practice today.“He cut his foot yesterday after practice, so we had to give him the day off. We think he’ll be fine,” Fangio said, via Andrew Mason of TheDNVR.com. “There’s been a lot of weird injuries at times, but that one — it’s in the top five.”Denver selected Fant with the 20th overall pick in this year’s draft, and so far he hasn’t done a whole lot, with just 15 catches in seven games. The Broncos hope a Top 5 weird injury isn’t the most memorable moment from his rookie year.

The Redskins took control of the NFC East on Sunday with their win over the Cowboys Montez Sweat Jersey , and themeltdown against the Panthers. Washington is now a game and a half ahead in the division, and the only team with a winning record. They travel to the bowels of New Jersey this Sunday for their second division game in a row to face the broken New York Giants. The Redskins steady climb up the Power Rankings continues this week. Over half of the professional power rankers have Washington in the Top 10 this week. Their defense has been impressive, and Adrian Peterson’s revival in DC has been more fun than I thought it could be. Financial news site 24/7 Wall St. used sports attendance data from ESPN over the past 10 years and found every one of the four major sports leagues in the United States has seen a decline in total attendance from 2008 to 2018.But not every team is losing fans at the same rate.Of the 12 franchises in the four sports to see the biggest decline in attendance, four were NFL teams.Washington saw the biggest attendance decline among NFL franchises, ranking fifth with a 31.1 percent drop in average attendance, according to 24/7 Wall St.The team led the NFL in average attendance in 2008, with 88,604 fans packing FedEx Field that season. Washington was the only NFL team that failed to fill at least three-quarters of seats in its stadium last season, per the website. If Dwayne Haskins does what Washington drafted him to do, the team could see a resurgence. The Bengals rank seventh on the list with a 21.4 percent drop in average attendance, the Buccaneers 10th with a 15.7 percent decline and the Colts 12th with a 10.8 percent decline. If you’re wondering why the Chargers aren’t listed, 24/7 Wall St. did not consider teams that “switched venues or made significant changes to their existing venue.”Major League Baseball had the top four teams on the list led by the Detroit Tigers, with a 41.3 percent average attendance drop since 2008.

JuJu Smith-Schuster and an injury early in camp may not have slowed him down much.Moncrief broke his ring finger during the team’s first padded practice and he’s been a full participant in only three of the team’s training camp practices. He had not practiced for six days before getting back on the field with the team on Wednesday. Moncrief caught three touchdowns from Ben Roethlisberger over the course of the session and head coach Mike Tomlin credited Moncrief’s experience with allowing him to hit the ground running.“Cumulative reps Womens James Conner Jersey , no question,” Tomlin said, via Mark Kaboly of TheAthletic.com. ‘Money in the bank.”James Washington is likely Moncrief’s chief competition for the No. 2 receiver job and there’s ample time left in the summer for either player to stake an unshakable claim to the job. It was 1972 and I was 7 years old. To that point the Steelers had played in two playoff games in their 39 year history, winning neither. This year, however, they didn’t seem to be the Same Old Steelers. We had an exciting new rookie first rounder out of Penn State. It was my first season paying attention. I had taken my newly acquired skill of writing cursive and sent a letter to Franco asking to be inducted into his Italian army. He didn’t write back T. J. Watt Jersey , so I figure I was 4-F.My father had been a lifelong fan, having grown up in Pleasant Hills, just off Rt. 51. He had played at Clairton High (alma mater of Tyler Boyd) and earned a football scholarship to Westminster College. He found himself, fifteen years after matriculating at Westminster, listening to the divisional playoff game against the Oakland Raiders on a transistor radio in the kitchen. Steeler Nation wasn’t prepared that year for the playoffs so the game didn’t sell out, and therefore wasn’t aired live locally.I’d like to say I was parked right next to my dad the whole game. But I wasn’t. My older sister had roped me into playing “School” with her. Each time Jerome Bettis Jersey White , however, she, as the teacher would announce that it was time for recess I would race to the kitchen to check the status of the game. The last time I went in my father gave me this glum report:“It’s not looking good, son. It’s 4th and long. There’s almost no time left. And we’re behind.” Now I loved and respected my dad. He certainly knew more about the Steelers than I did. But he lacked something I had an abundance of — child like faith. So I corrected him and said, “Don’t worry Dad. Franco will do something great, and the Raiders won’t have time to come back.”And then James Conner Jersey White , the immaculate reception.I can’t tell you that I knew in advance what Franco would do. I didn’t. I just knew he would do something. And with that one play, the trajectory of our beloved franchise changed forever. I can’t either provide audio or video tape of that conversation. I can tell you it actually happened, when I said it happened, just as I said it happened. Disbelieve me if you wish. It won’t change what happened. The last thing I’m able to do is to draw a causal connection between my youthful assurance that Franco would find a way, and Franco finding a way. Maybe it would have happened had I not been paying attention to the game. Maybe it would have happened if I had been worrisome and pessimistic like my father. But maybe, just maybe Womens Jerome Bettis Jersey , my confidence in my hero is what kept the ball from touching Frenchy Fuqua. Maybe my confidence in my hero is what kept the ball from touching the turf at Three Rivers. Maybe my confidence in my hero is what kept Franco in bounds all the way to the end zone as the clock ran out. Or maybe it was some other kid with the same hope. Maybe it was you.

McKenzie on Monday Bo Jackson Jersey , less than two years after he was named the NFL’s executive of the year.A person familiar with the move says McKenzie was let go from the position he had held for almost seven seasons a day after Oakland beat Pittsburgh 24-21 for its third win of the season. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team has not made an announcement. The NFL Network first reported the firing.McKenzie’s status was in doubt ever since coach Jon Gruden was given a 10-year contract last January to take charge of the football operation for the Raiders. McKenzie’s influence had waned since then, with the Raiders cutting ties with several of the players he had acquired, most notably edge rusher Khalil Mack and receiver Amari Cooper.McKenzie was the first major hire made by owner Mark Davis after he took over the team following the death of his father, Al, in 2011. McKenzie modernized the franchise, got the team out of salary cap purgatory, and built a roster that won 12 games under coach Jack Del Rio in 2016, earning him honors as the league’s top executive. But the Raiders slumped to a 6-10 record last season, leading Davis to fire Del Rio and get Gruden to take the hefty contract after years of courting.Gruden set out to overhaul the roster, trading away and cutting many of McKenzie’s former draft picks. That accelerated a week before the start of the season when Mack was dealt to Chicago for a package including two first-round picks and then Cooper was dealt in October to Dallas for another first-round pick. With those deals, only nine players drafted by McKenzie from 2012-17 remain on the active roster.Despite all that, McKenzie downplayed any rift in the relationship that dated back to the 1990s when both worked together in Green Bay.“Gruden and I, we work together very well,” McKenzie said after the Cooper trade. “Let’s get no mistakes about him pushing me out. That’s not happening. Me not being able to work with Gruden? That’s furthest from the truth. OK?”The highlight of McKenzie’s tenure came in the 2014 draft, when he put together the nucleus of Oakland’s only playoff team since going to the Super Bowl following the 2002 campaign. He drafted Mack fourth overall and watched him develop into the 2016 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year, got quarterback Derek Carr in the second round to end the more than decade-long revolving door at the position https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-antonio-brown-jersey , and added several other key players, including guard Gabe Jackson and defensive tackle Justin Ellis later in the draft. Those players, teamed with an offensive line fortified by free agent signings center Rodney Hudson, guard Kelechi Osemele and tackle Donald Penn, made the Raiders a contender in 2016 before Carr broke his leg in a Week 16 win over Indianapolis. Oakland lost the division the following week and was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs against Houston.Carr was given a $125 million, five-year extension the following summer but the team regressed and the inability to get a long-term deal done with Mack led to a holdout this past summer and his eventual trade. The Raiders struggled this year in Gruden’s first year back on the sideline since being fired by Tampa Bay following the 2008 season. Oakland started the season 1-8 before winning two of the past four games. The Raiders (3-10) are tied with San Francisco and Arizona for the worst record in the league. With a likely top 10 pick of their own and two other first-rounders this year, along with two first-round picks next year, Gruden likely wanted his own people in place in the personnel departments to make those moves. Denver Broncos with the fifth pick in the NFL draft.Chubb not only takes pressure off Miller Womens Noah Fant Jersey , who hasn’t been back to the playoffs since winning Super Bowl 50 MVP honors. He bolsters what was already a dynamic Denver pass rush that gives opponents fits and covers a whole lot of warts in the Broncos’ beleaguered secondary.Rather than grab another quarterback in the first round — his last one didn’t work out so well — general manager John Elway selected the North Carolina State edge rusher who was widely regarded as the best defender in the 2017 draft class. Now, the Broncos can send Miller, Chubb, Shane Ray and Shaq Barrett at quarterbacks from the outside while locking down the interior with a revitalized Derek Wolfe , a beefed-up DeMarcus Walker, a rejuvenated Adam Gotsis and free agent acquisition Clinton McDonald at defensive end. Then there’s nose tackles Shelby Harris and the Peko cousins, Domata and Kyle, to provide inside push and help thwart the run.Of course, it will only matter if Denver’s refurbished offense buttressed by free agent QB Case Keenum, rookie receivers Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton and rookie running back Royce Freeman, starts scoring points like it did when Peyton Manning was hollering out, “Hurry, hurry!”In the two seasons since Manning retired, the Broncos haven’t played with a lead often enough to capitalize on their pass rush prowess or what had been a stellar secondary.Cornerback Chris Harris Jr. Womens Dre'Mont Jones Jersey , was pleased to finally face an offense in training camp that held its own.“Our offense is way better than they were last year,” Harris said. “I see them putting up points, at least 30 a game.… because we have Bill Musgrave, a great offensive coordinator. We used to hate going against him. We used to call him ‘Mad Scientist’ when he was in Oakland, so they have a great offense. It fits Case well. He has great weapons. I don’t see why they can’t average 30.”NO MORE NO FLY ZONE : A prolific offense will help a defense that went through a spate of injuries in the secondary, then lost a second member of the original “No Fly Zone” with the trade of cornerback Aqib Talib to the Rams this spring. The Broncos had their share of growing pains after safety T.J. Ward was waived last year. Now the original “No Fly Zone” is down to safety Darren Stewart and Harris, who said the chemistry with cornerback Bradley Roby was slow to develop this summer after never needing to consider it with Talib.“It was so easy that you never realized that you have to work for that with someone else,” Harris said. “Me and ‘Lib used to come out on the field — Bam! If he sees something, I see it.”Asked when he thought that would come together with Roby, Harris said, “as soon as Roby gets it. It shouldn’t take long as long as he gets it. Once he gets it, we’ll be on the same page.”REFRESHED RECEIVERS : It didn’t take long for Emmanuel Sanders to get on the same page with Keenum. Finally healthy after an injury-marred 2017 season, Sanders was the star of training camp even as rookie Sutton, another SMU alum Womens Bradley Chubb Jersey , was entertaining the crowds with daily highlight reel catches.Sanders said his enthusiasm isn’t just a byproduct of his return to health but of Keenum’s arrival. For the first time since 2015, Sanders worked exclusively with the starting QB and didn’t have to endure a prolonged quarterback competition that siphoned chemistry and rhythm from the offense once the regular season rolled around. He and Demaryius Thomas also were pushed by the rookies.“This is one of those wide receiver groups that can definitely carry this team,” Sanders said. “Elway has his pick of the litter in that room.”BOUNCE BACKS : The Broncos haven’t had back-to-back losing seasons since 1971-72 and several players need bounce-back seasons to keep that streak alive. So do the coaches.Elway contemplated firing Joseph following his 5-11 rookie season but decided to give him another chance, then provided him with a massive roster upgrade rather than going on another coaching search and starting over.Joseph realizes he won’t get another chance if things don’t change, however.“Winning football games is a must this year,” Joseph said. “We have to do that. That’s why they hired me.” Interesting."According to The Gazette’s Woody Paige, the Broncos like Iowa tight end Noah Fant and could target him if they decide to trade back from 10th overall.Devin Bush was the hot rumor heading into today, but now we have reports of at least two teams(Falcons and Steelers) looking to jump them for him. It seems like a plausible move to with the Bills and Lions looking to move back, and they have the 8th and 9th overall selections that are right in front of the Broncos. So this could lead to the Broncos themselves trading back with someone. If they do find a trade partner, it appears Fant is someone they may target. Another name to watch if offensive lineman Dalton Risner who apparently the Broncos love and could consider moving back into round one for if they stay at 10. If the Broncos decide to go Fant, it would give them a dynamic weapon at tight end. He will be a match up issue for every team day one and be a great fit in Rich Scangarello’s offense that puts an emphasis on the tight end in the passing game. I personally would love this pick if it happened, especially with a trade back. This draft has a ton of value on day two, and the more picks you can get in that range the better in my opinion.
