Inflammation is emerging as a key factor   Diabetes Freedom Review underlying the development of type 2 diabetes, and it's one that many people have not heard of. A normal and completely natural body response, inflammation is a process by which your white blood cells and body chemicals protect you from bacteria, viruses and infection.

You can detect acute inflammation in your body by redness, warmth, swelling and pain at the site of an injury. These are signs that your body is actively fighting an infection.

However, under many circumstances -- often due to lifestyle factors or an over-reactive immune system -- inflammation can become chronic, leading to a low-grade state of disrepair in your body. In this case, inflammation causes no outwardly symptoms even though it may be causing damage to your system, which is why it's also known as "silent" inflammation.

Chronic "silent" inflammation is not only implicated in chronic diseases like heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer's disease and rheumatoid arthritis, but also in type 2 diabetes.

Even though these desserts supposedly don't have any sugar in them, they Diabetes Freedom Review  do usually have a substantial amount of carbohydrates, or at least the good ones do.

I have found a few diabetic desserts that I found acceptable, but the majority of them taste like cardboard or something close to it. However, I did find a product one time that was made especially for diabetics by a diabetic. They were little brownie looking bites that tasted exceptionally well considering their healthy nutritional values. I just cant remember the brand name at the moment, but when I do, I will be sure to add an update.

The best way to find diabetic desserts that suit your needs is to talk to a doctor. Doctors will be able to give professional advice. Those who usually need additional help with planning and mapping out meals visit a dietitian as well.

One interesting line of investigation in Diabetes Freedom Review diabetes research has to do with vitamin B1, thiamine. As early as 2005, experiments in animals showed that it might have the potential to prevent the complications associated with Type 2 diabetes.

In 2007, an article was published on the subject in the medical journal Diabetologia. Researchers at the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Essex, the Clinical Sciences Research Institute in Coventry, and Ipswich Diabetic Foot Unit and Diabetes Center in Ipswich, United Kingdom, looked at thiamine in the blood and urine of volunteers with Types 1 and 2 diabetes and non-diabetics. Twenty-six Type 1 diabetics, 48 Type 2 diabetics, and 20 non-diabetic controls were included. Blood plasma thiamine concentration was decreased:

The urine of diabetics was found to be higher in thiamine in proportion to the low amount in their blood plasma.

This month, an article in the European Journal of Nutrition, authored by workers from the University of Guadalajara in Mexico, also reported on a study of thiamine supplementation in people with diabetes. Twenty-four participants with Type 2 diabetes were included in this study. Twelve received 150 mg of thiamine orally once a day for one month. The other twelve received a placebo. At the end of a month, the treated group showed significant decreases in blood sugar levels.

The insulin pump contains an internal Diabetes Freedom Review  reservoir which holds the hormone. Instructions for correct dosage amounts and injection timings are entered into the computerized device. Once programmed, the device will deliver the hormone through the tube and needle and into the body as required. The pump can also be manually activated if extra doses of insulin are needed which have not been pre-programmed into the device.

Blood glucose levels must still be checked regularly. However, the need for manual needle injections of insulin is eliminated with the use of a pump. It may also reduce the total number of daily glucose tests that are needed.

Insulin infusion for Type I diabetes is a relatively new technology, but is rapidly gaining acceptance in the medical community for its numerous advantages, which include.

*Ease of administration. Insulin infusion has been a lifesaver for many Type I diabetes sufferers, particularly children. Children with Type I diabetes are able to attend school and participate in regular daily activity, and parents need not worry about finding someone to administer insulin to their child in their absence. Nor do they need to worry about a child going into insulin shock while at school. Parents can simply fill and program the pump and know that their child will receive the correct amount of insulin throughout the day.

We need better training of our law enforcement Diabetes Freedom Review  officers and the general public; to know how to effectively deal with this condition. Public awareness is key, so that incidents like this never happen again. Unfortunately, over 23 million people are diagnosed diabetics and another 6 million are unaware they have it. Patient information and public education is paramount.

Until better training is instituted it is up to all diabetics to wear medical alert jewelry and carry medical ID cards. Paramedics are trained to look for medical alert bracelets first. Wearing identification may save your life or that of a loved one. Case closed. You are forced to give up many of your vices when you are diagnosed with diabetes. Bad diet and a sedentary lifestyle are habits that need to be altered in order to maintain a healthy body and quality of life. But is alcohol one of the vices diabetics need to give up as well.

Studies have concluded that alcohol, in moderation, does not need to be completely avoided if you are diabetic. However, you must take certain precautions when drinking. Alcohol has a direct effect on your blood glucose levels. While your liver metabolizes alcohol, it will stop producing glucose.

This pause in glucose production can impact your body for as long as eight to twelve hours after consuming alcohol. If you drink alcohol while your blood sugar is already low, the resulting lack of glucose production can lead to alcohol induced hypoglycemia. In order to prevent alcohol induced hypoglycemia, you should always avoid drinking alcohol if your diabetic testing has indicated that your current glucose levels are unstable.

Believe it or not, many people haveDiabetes Freedom Review Type 2 diabetes and don't know it. They think the symptoms they are experiencing are harmless, but that isn't necessarily the case. The longer you ignore the signs and symptoms of Type 2 diabetes, the more complications you allow to develop. That means early detection is critical, so it makes sense to be really aware of the symptoms and realize you need to make an appointment with your doctor and have them checked out.

First, you should recognize frequent urination and unusual thirst are two of the biggest symptoms of diabetes, whether Type 1 or Type 2. You also may experience extreme hunger or even an unusual weight loss. This can be confusing as most people associate Type 2 diabetes with weight gain, but that isn't always the case. With any kind of diabetes, you'll usually notice extreme fatigue and possible irritability as well.

Type 2 diabetes can also lead to frequent infections. Blurred vision is another common sign, although many people end up going to the ophthalmologist assuming their blurred vision is just due to getting older. In fact, very high levels of blood sugar can lead to temporary blurred vision, but it's only temporary. Your eyesight will be restored when blood sugar is returned to a lower level.

If you have been developing cuts and bruises that are slow to heal, tingling or numbness in your hands and feet, or recurring infections in your bladder, skin or gums, these are all indications you might have pre-diabetes or even full-blown Type 2 diabetes.

It is a proven fact that animals have a calming effect on people. I know Diabetes Freedom Review my "Rapper" senses if I am off color, or having a down day, and does his best to get me going in a different direction. Taking time out, and just sitting and patting him does wonders. I have three cats as well, and they are "love to sit on your lap" kind, and they love to purr. Cuddles is a talker, and purrs the loudest. At night I go to sleep to her "music".

Doctors say that listening to a cat purr can be good for the heart and blood pressure. Sometimes we need motivation to keep our routine active, so we can enjoy that feeling of well being. My pets help do this for me. Stress times are fewer, I am calmer and don't over react to situations, which help keep my blood pressure in check. All in all I feel in many ways my pets are a big plus when it comes to managing my diabetes.

Having a well trained, obedient pet makes for a happy situation all around. So far I have been fortunate, my pets have been easy to train. and they have no bad habits, except cuddles can talk just a little too much and sometimes she gets to be a little annoying, and I have to tell her "quiet". Having a young puppy is much easier to train, and you have a better chance of correcting any bad habits. The right pet soon becomes a member of the family, bringing added joy and happiness. I highly recommend having pets.
