Tarzan Goes to India (1962) is the 24th film in the Tarzan series and marks the debut of Jock Mahoney as the title character. It was notable for moving the action from Africa to the Far East and was filmed on location in India.

Plot: Tarzan is summoned to India by a dying Maharajah to save a herd of over 300 elephants. The animals are threatened by the construction of a massive hydroelectric dam that will flood their valley. Tarzan must overcome a rogue elephant leading the herd and battle ruthless engineers who are willing to sacrifice the wildlife for the project.

Stunts: Jock Mahoney, a former stuntman, performed his own stunts, including a notable dive from a moving airplane into a lake.
